      Okay, yes, he messed up, but it's not true that no man would want her now because she's got children.
      My aunt had two children, by two different guys, and my uncle still married her.
      My daughter's father just got married to a woman who's got 3 children from a previous relationship. His ex-wife also had four children from her previous marriage. So, not all men are created equal.

      Men come make their mess then run off. If you do have kids. As I did with my ex husband. Have only one. My ex wanted 3. I was like hell no. He was a monster. He ended up cheating on me. Fighting me for custody. Then marrying his affair partner. 3 years after our divorce he killed himself.

    Sounds like he was fine having her be the mother to his children because she has positive motherly qualities (in his opinion) but he never saw or imagined her as his wife. Some men don't see motherly qualities AND wife qualities in the same woman. I'm sorry she ended up as that role. She deserves to be more than someone's temporary incubator & eternal babysitter. She deserves a husband who loves and cherishes her as his wife & life partner. I hope she finds that.

      Gallardo 5Million Wait, I'm confused. What does that misogynistic, incorrect statement have to do with what I originally said? Where in the video did he say he had children with multiple women? 🤔 My statement said (I'll summarize it for you to make it easier): This man was okay with having children with this (1) woman, but had no intentions of marrying her. In his opinion, she was maternal enough to be a mother but lacked qualities of a wife. Tbh, I think if she knew that beforehand, she wouldn't have had his children. She deserves to find someone who desires her as a life partner; a wife.

      That is utter BS! LUST is what you're talking about ul and lust was not in Nature's design it was created by Society. God created man and woman to be with one person and one person only and that is their spouse. My fiance is proof of that. You cannot tell me otherwise.

      Yes you are right! As I was saying to him last is a societal Man created thing and is not natural. Men and women were designed by God to be with one person and one person only. I am 33 years old and I never ever knew that until I finally found my match. There is literally one person out there for each person and we were designed to only be intimate with that one person who is our twin.

I remember once my ex blamed me for how he felt about his job. He told me that I wasn’t being supportive enough when I was literally trying everything I could to make him happy. It took me a long time to realize that it wasn’t my fault. I’m still pretty messed up from the relationship though. He tore me down a lot and some of the things he said to me have made me very insecure and left me feeling pretty damaged. I hope that he realizes his faults, and realizes how much I did for him. But people need to understand that some people wants that feeling coz once people started being together for a long time, they loose that spark.. Coz I believe that feeling should last coz when u love someone truly, if doesn’t go away.. even if there are arguments it will never go away

    This is a prime example of how difficult marriages are. Honeymoon stages fade and real life kicks in like finances, children, lack of sleep, job stress etc.. It's easy to forget how easy things once were once we start to face these challenges. Marriage is hard work but rewarding if two people are on the same page and willing to sacrifice for each other.
    I seriously thought they were going to reconsider at the end but I'm happy they are mature enough not to disrespect each other on the past and focus on coparenting for the sake of their children.

    I'm married and my husband and I have 2 little ones. We've been together 14 years. This is powerful to watch. Their story... it's so incredibly kind of them to share. It's also very vulnerable. They start and you know that they didn't stay together and then they speak about their feelings for one another, and memories, while the other is staring back at them. And then they get up and go on with their lives. I think I'd be lying in bed with heavy thoughts after all that. Very interesting, very moving.

    • @TheFruitney
      @TheFruitney 6 лет назад +7

      Im surprised im the first one asking this or maybe just the bravest but what tips do you have for being with someone for 14 years? I feel like this couple didn't do a better job of communicating their feelings to each other.

    • @TiffyVogt
      @TiffyVogt 6 лет назад +23

      Hi Abraham! *Communication is so important. Communication means talking about the good, bad, and ugly and working through it all. *If there are wounds, dig them out so the wound can heal. *Animosity is like an infection. Clean up the animosity. Really clean it up. *Anger is just a way of shielding something vulnerable, hurt. Remember that when arguing and it'll be easier to work through things. *If you say sorry, do not say it while angry. *Try not to go to bed angry. *While arguing, it's good to tell the other, "You're still my best friend or I still want to grow old with you, even though you suck right now." Humor makes a world of difference.

      @TiffyVogt 6 лет назад +6

      +Abraham Hassan - Please watch the music video on RUclips, rise up by andra day. Being with someone after 14 years... the feeling that you get from that music video, that love. Through sickness, through tough times, through health, that's what I promised and that's what I mean. If you can get passed the silly bickering, the "picture" of what love "should" or "shouldn't" look like. There's no jealousy, no judgement, no winners or losers in love. Love doesn't come across to people like that these days. Ya, there are fights and ugly days but those pass, love doesn't and it's a mindset.

    What's crazy is they found the key to marriage through their divorce

  • @TheTrippleTKA
    @TheTrippleTKA 7 лет назад +99

    It's crazy how often once/when the marriage is over the couples start to be themselves with one another again. In this 10 min video, it felt like they were being that college couple they once were. I feel like often time people get weighed down by the "being married" tag and forget to live and share the journey. I bet if they got together now without getting married, the results would be a lot better. They'd just be living, not being married to one another.

    • @foureyeswonder
      @foureyeswonder 7 лет назад +6

      TheTrippleTKA but you have to remember they have children. Even if they got back together without any marriage certificate attached to them, they might still have to deal with the complexities of living together as a couple, with all of the compromises and possibilities of a lifestyle crash, and also taking care of the kids if they are still a minor. But I do agree that they seem to be more like themselves.

    Great video. I could tell by the body language that there's still an emotional distance between them, but I'm glad to hear that they've found a way to be friends--whatever level that may be. I'm sure they, as is the case with most divorced people with kids, did their best to be supportive for their kids and that is the threat that keeps them connected. It's nice that they found a way to open up about what went wrong. That level of introspection may not bring them back together, but it will benefit them greatly in their future relationships.

What he did was find a good woman who would fit what lifestyle he thought he should living or what his parents thought he should be living.

Have one with your (future) wife, could be your gf or not I don't know. But commit first. Might not be a 100% guarantee, but it changes the dynamics of the relationship 90% of the time. Thanks for sharing your personal experiences. I'm separated & trying to coparent peacefully. It's tough, but our child is worth every effort. Even when couples are friends, marriage is really tough, especially when there's big issues. God Bless everyone especially in struggles :)

    Why this couple? It's clearly a guy who never loved her and a woman who was used to being complacent. They're parents first and barely friends second. There's nothing sweet or sad about this because it's not a couple falling out of love. It's just a couple that took years to realize they weren't ever meant to be together.

      note4note could not agree more! It ended up being awkward to watch, because he doesn’t seem attracted to her in ANY way...

      Two people lost in life, who slide into a friendship. They are only "growing up" now. That is the problem.

      Did y’all miss the part where he said that it almost seems to people like they are more married NOW than they were back when they were actually married? And how his relationship has affected current relationships BECAUSE of their relationship and friendship? Lol guess those things slipped by.

      I disagree. I think he loved her and was attracted to her but he had unresolved issues within himself that he didn’t want to confront productively, and possibly sought entertainment outside the relationship to try to find fulfillment. Deep down that never worked because he remained semi in denial of what was preventing him from being able to love in a healthy way. He also hints at how his family didn’t approve of her (likely racial or cultural discrimination), and he couldn’t get over their opinions. Just because someone is bad at the act of loving doesn’t mean they don’t love you. They may love you immensely but be an unhealthy person (ie they have emotional wounding they haven’t come to terms with or they lack self awareness and an ability to be vulnerable and selfless) and therefore love in unhealthy ways.

      iguana girl yeah true but also it looks like she’s not bugging up herself- like do a fancy hairstyle, light makeup. Just go show the world she moved on.
      Right now she looks sad.

      a big part of me does so too.
      But i also think that we need to critically think about our ideas and rules on marriage,kids,commitments.
      things are always evolving and shifting... who knows.. in the future it could very well be 1 partner for life through thick and thin.ORRRR
      One partner in that "moment" of your life and you may leave once things are sorted and settled with each other and the kids.
      Some girls just want kids..without the dudes.. and some dudes want kids without the chicks.. i can go on and on....
      I guess im questioning everyones morals,ethics,values and beliefs.
      Is there scientific proof that because of these two's actions. It will affect the kids in a negative way in their lives down their track?

    My husband and I have been in bad terms for 3 days now. We’ve gotten into fights before but this one feels like it’s the end. What this couple said to each other hurt me to the core because it feels like that in my relationship. Tonight I played with my 7 & 8 year old and it broke me even more. To have to force myself to smile and hide why I’m sad was so hard to do in front of them. I can’t stop crying....

    I have a boyfriend and we're in a long distance relationship. He's such a wonderful guy and I love everything about him- good and bad. But there's always a part of me that can't imagine us getting married and raising children. Of course, I am still young and I do not need to worry about that, but I hope that even if we do drift apart (God forbid), we will remain close friends because I've truly, truly never met such a great guy.

    From my perspective, almost 12 years ago, I was separated from my wife, and we came so close to Divorce. Something happened, and we dug in to give it one last shot in reconciliation. Miraculously it survived, and were still together, coming up on 26 years. Honestly, if we had signed those papers, each of us would be different people. It was also affecting our children to where they needed counseling. This couple to me presents as being redeemable, their marriage even salvageable or reboot-able. Just my two pennies.

      I am glad your marriage survived with your wife. I truly believe that this is the ultimate goal and the best out come for children. ( as long as it is a happy loving marriage ) For a marriage to work you need 2 people who are committed to each other. Unfortunately the bloke in this video seems like a self centred child. He is not ready to be married to anyone. I hope the lady meets a proper grown up man one day.

      Sure better than the alternative! It's weird how when you don't love someone, you shame them for being human. Sad.
