I have one question about the picking: I know it‘s important to avoid tension during playing. Does that actually mean that you are supposed to play at a speed that you can in theory sustain forever? So if I realise after four or ten or twenty bars that my arm starts tensing up, do I reduce the tempo?
I am asking because I heared many times that shorter „speed bursts“ are also helpful to increase your alternate speed picking.
Anyways, thanks alot for the great educational content!

When I feel tension, I stop and shake it out.

Yes in theory you should be able to go forever but at some point you will feel some tension if you want to go faster

Try using your wrist more than your forarm/arm. I struggled with the same thing for a long time. But I would say yes until your speed is consistent and fluid. Then try to play just a bit faster and use a metronome, too. Or try using legato when your arm gets tired and tense. Just my thoughts, I hope it helps 🤘
