No one can compete with DD and Uber. This is a monopoly. Monopolies can pay their workers dirt and overcharge for their service. DRIVERS: You must stop taking orders under $7.
As a platinum dasher with a 91 AR I am very busy. But each market is different I hardly have anything for uber eats in my market. And I barely wait for offers maybe 3 min after I complete I have another offer
Uber needs to stop accepting too many new drivers. This helps existing drivers make more money. I used to be able to make some decent cash in 2021 but now the market is over saturated but of course Uber will not give a damn because they are making money regardless. Now you see people doing it every where. That app is trash!! $2 or $3 orders is a joke !! Can’t even make $30 a day
We predict a lawsuit that's based on the fact that drivers (even in busy markets like LA) are sometimes waiting around for 1-3 hours before they get a single offer. This results directly in drivers making as little as $4 - $8 per hour. We feel that states (especially CA) will re-evaluate the Pay Adjustment since now it's only based on Active hours. Paying based on Active hours is ludicrous in so many ways. What makes it even stranger, is Platinum Dashers are waiting hours for any offers, much less legitimate offers.
Yeah I sit around at home not even hunting for offers and I get in about 3-4 hrs a day. there is NO WAY someone in LA or the Bay is waiting for 4 hrs if they were trying to get an offer.
@TrickyLy sometimes it happens 2 hours on the road, had to even change zones to see if my zone was fucked up, estimated time supposedly was 2-7 minutes, not a single offer.
They need to put a limit and restrictions on thumbs downs like don't allow a customer give negative feedback until they contact support... i had a customer give me a negative after delivery and they called me right after drop off she said her food was wrong... i triple checked the order had her name.... she yelled at me saying she got a slider and thats not what she wanted she said she ordered the chicken tender... i went back to the resturant they showed me their receipt and the order was for a slider a sandwich... so this confused lady doesn't even know the difference between slider and tender
I've been doing PPO for a week and tried PPT this evening. I live in the Asheville NC area. I made $3.50 an hour including expenses and that's with decent tips. I usually make around $10 an hour on PPO regardless of what strategy I use.
Shipt in my market has far out distanced DD. If you are willing to hustle and shop multiple orders at once here you'll make 25 to 40 an hour on average. I get lucky if I hit 20 an hour on DD. I'll spend 1 hour shopping 2 to 4 orders. Spend the next hour delivering. Easy peasy. Every 2 hours I'll be up 50 to 80 dollars. DD is backup or if I want to stay out late. I'll just say this. My last pure doordash shift was 14 hours on a Friday. I made nearly 300 before gas and taxes. With Shipt I do that in 8 to 10 hours most days and that's before my tips hit. My record for one day was 639.74 mostly shipt until just after dinner rush started then swapped to DD. Juso ya know shopping is not worth it unless you do multiple orders at once. It's physically and mentally exhausting. Lol.
I just do DoorDash cause it’s king here in Philadelphia. Platinum is necessary to make money in Philly. I have UberEats on standby but still DoorDash is king. Most places that have only one service almost always have DoorDash as their sole service .
In Cleveland. Uber eats way out pays DoorDash. It’s so difficult to get deals north of 6$ on DoorDash. When’s the last time you saw a 12$ or more on DoorDash. Doesn’t happen.
EBT would ruin me. The main reason my AR is so low is the loooong drives. I cannot be doing 30-50cent per mile runs. Those 6-12 mile drives are going to be upwards of 45 minutes. I’m already stuck with some trips that are only 3-4 miles and can take 25-30 minutes to complete. I keep considering it but I just can’t do it. They already try to move as far away from my main area as possible. Uber is useless now. 9 out of 10 times it’s 2-5 for 6-8 miles. Lowes, Office Depot, pets mart, Walmart, Popeyes, golden chick. These are the only places they send me offers for and they are always way too far. I used to do far more with UE but as soon as school started the bottom fell out. $400 a week being available and ready to go 12 hours a day. Going four hours easy without a single offer.
I started doing Uber eats deliveries just the other day because every other app seems to be on a waiting list in my area and a really fluctuates because One day I kept consistently getting $3 orders and sometimes the next day I'll consistently get 9 to $10 orders
Whew my ADHD would not allow me to finish this video. Felt very drawn out and circling of the point, to the point I lost the point and had to go. Silver lining, I did end up side questiong and the video finished in the background. Kind of like gig work, a win is a win, I guess.
Just play on 1.75 speed for all videos going forward so you don’t get distracted and only jump back by tapping if you missed something important. Much easier to digest YT videos in general this way. Especially non critical/general information videos. Only slow them down for step by step process videos because there will be a pop quiz tomorrow!!
I’m done with this bs this is the second pay cut rug pull dd has done 2 me. They destroyed my credit and got my car repo when they stole tips and 2018. Pay dropped from 20-30$ an hour all the way down to 16.77$ for 54 hours of work. I wish everyone good luck but I can’t take it anymore. All money ain’t good money
I'm sorry to hear that happened to you because the same thing happened to me with stole tips and that's why i don't use uber cheats anymore because they allow customers to steal drivers tips. But here's the thing i wish i would've fully grasped when i first started there's a reason why they call it a side hustle because it's truly is a side hustle to add a little extra cash in your pocket. That's why i tell people only do it part time like when you have a day off from your normal 9-5 job or during the holidays because that's the only time it's worth doing plus you'll be saving your vehicle from alot of wear and tear and thus that save you money on expenses to your vehicle. I wish you all the best and you're absolutely right sir all money definitely ain't good money.
During my last lunch rush, i got a $22 for 16 km offer, double pickup and drop off. To good to turn it down. I parked the car and it turns out,. I parked midway between pickups so easy 1.5 km of that run. First order was big, stupid shop made me wait 15 minutes, kept saying it was coming. If the pay wasn't so good I'd have walked after 5 minutes. second order was small. I thought the smaller order was going to be closer or near the end of the big order's run. Turns out the big order is 3km away and the small order was the rest of the 16 km. Soon as i dropped off the first order i was so tempted to just cancel second order and stay in the area. And to top it all off. The entire order was worth a $2 tip.
Been waitlisted for DD for 2 months now, logged in today and it from saying waitlisted to they are not accepting in my area. UberEats got me in on day 1 and I’ve been putting in 20-30 hrs a week. So I’m biased but hope UE takes over all the DD market in my area.
Been on the waitlist for DD for 2 years in Fayetteville, NC.. Uber eats got me in after 3 days when the background check came back. I have no choice.. smh
The ONLY way to make decent money from either of them is if you live in a town outside of a city like I do that’s pretty busy. Or If you have a Costco card. I luckily have both.
, I would have it so that the more 100 points you get the more money you get. Let's say if you make 100 points or earn 100 points you will make one extra dollar per order. If you can get all the way up to 800 points, you get $8 per order. Talk about incentive!
I'm an Uber Eats driver, and I wonder if anyone is experiencing this as well. Sometimes, the app will randomly switch my settings to accept rides. Often times, right after I've delivered, it switches on me. Sometimes as I'm driving back to my wait spot, so then I have to quickly switch back. While I'm driving. Anyone else having this happen?
All of california, pittsburgh, and pretty much every big city in america because it sure as hell ain't in rural places like here i live. 5:11 Exactly. Stop trying to be DD, UE! One of the main reasons I multi-app is there are advantages of both. I don't want them to be the same.

Idk around me both are pretty good in my opinion. I turn on both because they both can be slow at times. I’m bound to get an offer on one.

I wish UE would make a stand-alone version of the app that didn't include Uber. I don't ever want to drive other people around.
There is an option to turn off one or the other. Hope you find the toggle switch in the app to drive at your preference.

UE is hot garbage
You get increased tips after delivery when you give your customers an ice cold water bottle with their food and even shopping orders.
Stop accepting stacked orders that way we will have more runs to do, stacked orders are not worth
UberEats gives me straight trash in North Little Rock, AR most of the time. Sometimes in come in for the clinch.
I just do dd its king. I average 30 a hour. 15 a hour for breakfast runs. I have Uber in the back ground.
DD cut driver pay for food deliveries
Uber sends me the same orders over and over. If they have an AR, they should stop.doing that
Uber And DD is dumb. They keep getting more and more people. Uber in my market is a joke. 1 order if your lucky every 30min, and tada its a $2 order
I regularly have my UberEats app on in mornings. Many times online for 2-3 hrs with not one ping! Luckily I'm at home though.
