BOTH!!!!!! and YES!!! The shelf appeal is ridiculous on this baby! This looks like it could be a left side house shot mauler! Such good reviews guys thanks.
Way too short of a pin or not, my Recoil behaves just like this. If I can get it to the spot, it continues for days. Getting it the spot is very challenging though. It either reads too early and leaves 4s and 9s, or just never picks up at all. My track is right where it should be though, so it's definitely not a layout/drilling issue.
Ok y’all, I have had the chance to throw the new layout black venom for a few weeks now and have shot 754, 714, and 742 in league. I’ll work on getting some new shots with it so we can post them for you all also I changed the surface to 2000 and I use the ctd sanding pads as well. And let me just add this the might be my new favorite ball, just sayin
I don't understand why you can't just go into a pro shop and tell them what layout you want. You bought the ball and you're paying for the drilling. I had a similar experience when I had my ball drilled. I was always a straight bowler getting scores of 180 to 205 range with a beginner Columbia 300 W/D and was wanting a ball that would hook more to improve my game and average. I explained that to the pro shop guy. When I bowled with my new ball it bowled just as straight as my plastic Columbia 300 W/D. and just wouldnt hook at all. So $255.00 later I'm still bowling straight .🤔
Sad too say like 1.5yrs ago i went and bought too new top of the line storm balls spend like 600$ at the local pro shop. Balls didn't hook for shit no matter how i threw it tried every release adjustments everything and every time i tell the shop how i want it drilled they think they know everything and wont change it because they think they know my style and whats best for me.. ive had mid tier balls hook more then high performance balls on all lane conditions they always wanna drill it long for me and never drill it right i tell them i need something that hooks earlier or super aggressive in the back ends ive only ever had like one or two shops drill the balls perfectly for my style and when they did i was killing the lanes . Anyway because of that i decided to retire from bowling and i donated those brand new balls and bag and shoes too the center i told him give too one of these junior who have great potential im not making this up. I think i deserved a refund cause i used it the same day they drilled it even though i told them what i wanted they still drilled it the way they wanted too so instead of arguing i just was like here keep it i dont want this shit the guy looked at me more sad then i was like nah man we cant keep this are you sure i said yeah just keep it.. He was supposed too try too resell it too someone and call me when he did too try too get me some of my money back.. but i never got a call and its been almost 2yrs ago now So i hope that equipment went too a deserving candidate.. i wish i was making this story up but nobody will drill a ball the right way for me and because of that i just quit bowling.. i have been a 205-215 average bowler since i was 16-17yrs old im 34yrs old now so i know how i like my balls too roll and have had many balls roll perfectly and match up perfectly for my style im more of a stroker/tweener never been a cranker so thats why i always like a more rounded early roll ball for heavy oil and snappy down lane for slick lanes but anyway s people probably wont believe me they will say im blaming the equipment but ive been through this when buy new balls many times.. the last bad ass ball was the roto grip defiant the original one that ball made me a cranker and i bowled phenomenal with that ball and all lane conditions didn't matter i could always get it too hook but unfortunately i opened my bag and ball was split down the middle hence the reason i bought the newest storm balls top of the line and they sucked ill say the least. So anyway i resorted too pool now and own a pool table.. i miss bowling but its okay ill live..
I'll just say, I had three balls that I was really excited about drilled wrong because the guy running the pro shop thought he knew better than I about what I wanted/needed (RIP Pride, Trident Odyssey and Pride #2). After this, I never took a ball back to that guy to drill. I went to a new shop and the operator there said "give me a ball that you really like from your arsenal" and copied the layout from that. That may be "good enough" for most but I run a 6 ball arsenal because I am looking for different lines and reactions. On to a new pro-shop again. I found one where the pro wouldn't even touch the new ball until he put me on a lane and pulled data from throwing a few shots. Then we sat down and talked about what I am looking for in the new ball and how it would fit in my existing ball arsenal. Finding the right pro shop is worth its weight in gold...
@@JMHuzeThat sucks man. I just got back into bowling after giving up on it for like 10yrs. It shocked me the advancements in bowling balls equipment everything in 10yrs. I still watch videos to stay up on things to improve my game. I’m at 189 in one league and 175 in another at a different house. I hope you regain the bowling bug, but heck pool is cool too and I’m assuming a lot cheaper. 😅
Yes, more video of Justin throwing the Black Venom with his new PAP
ruclips.net/video/pzTqA9aLQfU/видео.html has Justin throwing the ball, looks great even with a 5degee back angle 😳 (told it was 45x4x5)
Yes .... as a fellow lefty, I would love to see a new layout video.
I would love to see the updated too as a lefty, but as I said on the Pro Shop video, 5 degee second angle OMG
Definitely need to see a comparison video of the 2 layouts

A before/after would be an excellent thing to see!
Definitely another video of Justin with the Black Venom with the right PAP. Maybe compare to the Recoil and or the Venom Shock.
need to see the black venom more
Unfortunately I have also seen a lot of over/under with this piece. The only place it shines for me is a local wood house.
Yes We need a Updated video of the ball that looks Amazing?
Ok Justin, still throwing #Motiv, I went to a 2” pin..your friend in Fl..
It’s a great ball. Stays in my bag
I think you should make a video showing difference with the old layout with old PAP and new layout with new PAP.

Man what a story, it really sucks when the shop won’t listen to what you want even when you are the one buying it

I am lucky, I layout my ball for what I want and the pro shop operator just punches the holes off that. Great partnership.
