As a Patriots fan the Philly speacial hurt a bit but it was a great play at a critical time that probably won the game for them. It was one of my favorite games ever and it was awesome to watch.

The philly special certainly played a huge part in the win but that strip sack was what actually won it. Pats had time, and they had the ball. Graham won the SB for the eqgles. Strip sack shoulda been top 5.

Look, the Minnesota play was a complete fluke and was 100% the fault of the safety, who inexplicably just forgot how the safety position is played for that split second. It was a very nice throw and catch, but 99.9% of the time, the WR would've been pushed out of bounds around the 33 yard line. That's a 51 yard FG. Ans since the Vikings had kicking issues, there's no way that's a guaranteed make. So, I'd say it'd be a 50/50 shot if they even won that game before being smacked by the Eagles -- which shows the inferior team won in the Saints-Vikings game. I'm sorry, but that's just the truth. *The Philly Special is one of the all time great play calls in SB history so of course* it's #1

Context definitely matters. It's not a "top 100 most skillful plays", nor is it "top 100 most spectacular plays". It's simply "top 100 plays", and a trick play from the underdogs on 4th down at a crucial stage in the Super Bowl should certainly make number one.

John Feller kinda does. Doesn’t matter if I’m an eagles fan or not. To call a trick play to an undrafted rookie, to a 3rd string tight end, to a back up quarterback requires a lot more testicular fortitude in the super bowl than a regular season game

I'm not eveb hating on the Philly Philly play as a Pats fan. And I understand the importance. But the Stef Diggs TD left me with my jaw on the floor. That ending was damn near impossible.

Vikings play should be #1, playoff touchdown to retake the lead as game clock expired to 0:00, +50 yard catch. Eagles touchdown should be top 10 as well because it was a Super Bowl 4th down play and a gutsy decision, the game was still close, but at the end of the day it was 2 yard touchdown pass and didn't decide the game. Edit: for anyone saying the vikings was just blown coverage, the eagles was blown coverage as well. Both catches were uncontested and neither were tackled, but Diggs actually did more work for his catch and went up to get the ball which caused the error on defense.

the best catch in general of the season was the hopkins catch no doubt. the diggs catch was only 2nd cuz it was a post season walkoff. but still diggs had absolutely nothing to do with the error.. he went up to get a catch just like every single wr is trained to do.. he did nothing special and was complete luck. which is why they got smashed by the eagles. the eagles play was all execution rather the diggs play was straight luck that the safety forgot how to tackle. and i’m not an eagles fan nor a vikings fan, just an irritated football fan tired of seeing people say that diggs catch should be number 1
also yes that play did decide the game and played a part in the eagles winning the super bowl. if they had not done that and kicked a field goal then for one the atmosphere wouldn’t be the same at all. and hypothetically speaking if they did kick a field goal, the score at the end would’ve been a one point lead meaning brady wouldn’t have to feel pressured trying to make a big play, which caused him to fumble the ball trying to get a deep pass instead of doing slants to slowly chip away to get field goal range. just watch how both amendola and white were both open even when he wasn’t being rushed by the defense. he wasn’t pressured to throw yet and was still at a comfortable spot yet he chose to look down field since he needs a touch down, but if the philly special never happened then he would only need to get into field goal range and i guarantee he would’ve thrown it to white since he was unbelievably open. but since the philly special did happen and it was a 5 point game he was pressured to get the ball down the field.

I'm I the only one who noticed that the Jaguars who made it to the AFC conference championship had the same amount of plays as the Browns... 1 out of 100. And then the Patriots block a pass and it gets top 10, while they don't show the Jalen Ramsey game-winning interception on the bills or Lenoard fournette's 80 yards run against the Steelers in week 5, or his 80ish yard run against the Rams in week 6, Or Telvin smiths 50 yard scoop and score against the Steelers in the Divisional Round. I don't think that the Bears, Jets, Dolphins, Raiders, Texans, Giants, Cardinals, and Packers shouldn't have more top plays then the Jaguars who made it farther than all of them. top plays are more of a list of incredible catches, impressive jukes/hurdles/etc. or just really athletic/lucky plays in general. There are plenty of long TDs that aren't shown because there's nothing really special about the plays accept that they went according to plan and everyone made the play work, but in cases like Mariota's pass to himself or Watson and Wilson scrambling and getting out of crazy situations, the plays were not going according to plan and they had to make some incredible plays to make it all work. That's why they're on the list and not every team's longest TDs

2017 eagles are arguably the funnest team to watch in history. The amount of insane plays they had all year with two different QBs and a bunch of backups. And the celebrations became something everyone was watching in the league because of how good they were playing. And how they were playing. And wentz. Jesus H wentz before losing his ACL was on the way to be something not seen before. Shame he lost his legs and thus his greatness. But yea, 2017 philly, funnest team and Greatest story in nfl history and ended it with one of if not the greatest Super Bowl of all time. Most yards all time. Nonstop action. Most big plays in SB history. 1 punt. Only One meaningful penalty.

My favorite one is at 8.05 . When the eagles beat the New York Giants. I knew then that we were going to have a special season. I certainly hoped that we were going to the Superbowl but when Carson Wentz got hurt I thought that our season was over. Little did I know that this was truly a magical season and we were destained for greatness.
