  • I have decided to make a compilation of more sign-offs. There were some I wanted to include in a compilation. Hope you enjoy.

    Another unique aspect of signoffs in Buffalo, NY that wasn’t captured here was that both the American and Canadian national anthems were played.

    I miss the good old days of the TV sign-off. I wonder if anyone understood all the technical jargon bandied about during sign-off. 🤓

      The technical information was a requirement for most tv stations. Electronic engineers would get it definitely.

    KTTV-TV, Channel 11, Los Angeles, California, was originally owned by Metromedia, Inc. with corporate headquarters in Secaucus, New Jersey. 😀

    WTVD-TV, Channel 11, Durham/Raleigh/Fayetteville, North Carolina is a Mickey Mouse Operation. (The Walt Disney Company is the parent company of ABC and ESPN). 😀

      Kaiser owned channel 44 in San Francisco as well

      WGRZ-TV, Channel 2, Buffalo, New York is currently owned by Tegna, Inc. (the former Gannett Broadcasting division of Gannett Company, Inc). 😀
