  • You fired her for helping a student? shame on you. Emily, a dedicated teacher, noticed that one of her students, Tommy, had been wearing the same worn-out shoes for weeks. Without hesitation, she bought him a new pair. But this simple act of kindness cost her the job she loved. Just two days later, a mysterious phone call would change her life forever.

      It’s heartbreaking to see how kindness can sometimes be misunderstood. Teachers like that truly make a difference in a student’s life. Have you ever experienced a situation where a small act of kindness had a bigger impact than you expected?

    A young woman who worked for me here in Scotland left to go to teacher college. Several years after she started her first teaching job I met her mother and father. They told me that their daughter had already left teaching because she was spending half her salary feeding the 6 year old hungry children in her class.

    Emily, a compassionate teacher, noticed her student Tommy was struggling with worn-out shoes. Out of kindness, she bought him a new pair, only to be fired by her principal for breaking school rules against personal gifts. Heartbroken, Emily faced an uncertain future until a mysterious call changed everything. Billionaire Jonathan Reeves, moved by her generosity, offered her a job at his foundation to help children in need on a larger scale. Emily accepted, and soon, her small act of kindness grew into the “Emily’s Heart Fund,” a program dedicated to supporting underprivileged kids across the country.

  • @linosoriano2083

    Firing a teacher for legally helping a student is unlawful and the idea presented in the video was sooo preposterous - contrary to human nature. What Emily did was an exception to the rule. Any school policy or rule which is contrary to State laws or even the Constitution is null and void ab initio.

    Aw, come on now! What is the point anyway? Even if I am a substitute teacher, I might help any poor female student give her a Prom Princess Barbie makeover. This explains why I love giving poor family female students Prom Princess Barbie makeovers shows my kindness how I am grateful for them, even if the love wearing Mary Jane shoes instead of heels.

  • @tsbio
    @tsbio 3 месяца назад +2

    The teacher should have worked with the school district to get the student help. "School districts can help poor families through various methods including providing free or reduced-price meals, offering after-school programs, providing access to school supplies, connecting families with community resources, offering parent education workshops, and implementing programs that address specific needs like housing or healthcare." The issue with the teacher giving the student gifts directly is sexual exploration. "Giving gifts to children is part of an abuser's progressive psychological grooming of victims. It all begins with expressions of friendship and concern." I am not saying the teacher, in this case, was a groomer but it is hard to differentiate. As such, the school district was protecting the child. Schools in the US are required to provide training on what to look for and gift-giving is one of them.

    • @denisepilling6723

      Agreed!! There are other avenues for assistance for the impoverished student especially one who seems to suffer in silence as this child does. Growing up we were looked after by the mothers of all of the school children. It was not the PTA (secular) it was called the Christian mothers!!! I remember them with admiration & love!! They looked after all of the students and would give assistance without bringing attention to it so the recipients could accept the help & keep their dignity!!!

    My 3rd grade teacher, this happened in the mid 50's, helped a classmate. I remember his name. We went out for recess, she told us to stay out until she came out for us. She stood him in the sink and bathed him, he smelled. She cleaned him up and gave him some new clothes. She came out and called us back to class. What a change, he was so proud of his new clothes. She took his old clothes home and washed them. Nothing was said about it, a MUCH DIFFERENT TIME THEN. Today she would go to prison. Is Som Ting Wong today with helping a child? I Tink So!!
