Thanks for the detail and footage. Very helpful!! Looking to do a similar set up with our straight bars at our gym. Using hooks as well to hang specialty bars next to it, which'll require more spacing. Fun stuff! Thanks!!

Hey! Thanks for the information! We recently purchased the Rogue Ring Hanger to set up gymnastic rings for at-home workouts in our condo unit. It would be installed into our ceiling which is concrete, just wondering what you would recommend for anchoring that can withstand 160-200lbs of weight?

Great job on this video. Would I use the same thing to mound a wall mounted squat rack? Thanks!

Yep, we've used sleeve anchors (you can also use wedge anchors) on wall-mounted squat racks a number of times, and we use them to anchor them to the floor as well.

This is great! I want to mount a heavy bag to a cinder block wall, but I don’t want to have to rely on hitting the “concrete stud” inside the block. Will the sleeve anchors you used work ok if I end up NOT hitting the solid part of the cinder block? Or do you recommend drilling only into the solid parts of the block wall? Thanks!

Good question, and don't worry about hitting the solid part. You just want to make sure that you're anchoring into the block itself and not the joints between the blocks (i.e., don't anchor to the mortar).

Why do you have to hang the bar on the outside rotation part instead of the central bar where our hands grapple?

If you go back near the beginning of this video (roughly 0:18 - 0:33), I explain that since this gunrack doesn't have plastic protection over the "hooks," you want the hooks in contact with the sleeves of the bar and not the shaft of the bar so you don't mar and dull the knurling over time. Metal-on-metal contact over time will damage the knurling of your bar. I'd recommend watching our other gunrack installation video where we installed one that does have plastic protection:
