In my opinion, the reason FM World Cup's managers didn't bother with training schedule and using that kind of rest is they only got 3 seasons, it was less about maximizing future's development and more about maximizing the present. If they have a bit more season, let's say 5 seasons, I doubt they'll ignore training schedule since youngsters' development towards the 5th season would be a factor they need to consider
Potentially - but in my saves I rarely have a youth player come though that has first team potential. I’m more likely to just buy the talent into the first team
in some of interview group c day 3 challenge is they use player that born in 2005 or younger has to play 1000+ minutes which is they kind of do using training schedule
I have never bothered with setting up a training schedule good to know others are doing the same , good video my assistant handles mentoring assignments and he even sets up which coach's handle what in training
In Training the main thing I do is edit the schedules to add Match Review & Team Bonding each week. I do believe they make a difference especially at the start of a save. I also often add extra sessions typically Technical ones but not sure if that is worthwhile at all. The Rest settings is interesting - I think you would have players moaning about lack of intensity if you kept it like that all season - I wonder if they changed it depending on the fixture load at the time. I do edit coaching assignments myself as I have found the assistant doesn't always do the best job. I will certainly try the changes to Set Pieces!
Sounds like your along similar lines to me. I do agree the match review and team bonding help from a dynamic perspective. But if you’re winning and your squad building is good, you shouldn’t have too many unhappy players I guess
Yes! these 5 tips are the best and I am fully agree in wht you're saying. Additionally, I often put "community outreach" AFTER each match, and left team bonding for pre-season. No other change in training. Just to say my squad never protest about training duting season with this training automatic configuration (no work until excellent condition) and it is BEST configuration i've ever seen to avoid injuries or dissatisfaction.
I actually uswd that coaching screen all the time for a few years now. This allows me correctly allocate thr right coach based on my team ans what im trying to achieve. For me its in the top 3-5 must do things in FM...period
Thanks for the corner routine, tactic is very similar to Knap except a few instructions, as for the training intensity, i do no pitch or gym work, followed by 3 half intensity and normal intensity when fully fit, i also rest anyone with very high injury risk for 2 days after each match and players with high risk for 1 day. Seems to of helped me massively as most of my players used to have more holidays than school kids
Thank you for the video. I used the set piece routine and I score 3 goals from corners in the first game, with my defender scoring twice 😅 Till now i didn't really cared about set pieces, i just let my set piece coach do everything.
That 4231 that won the tournament is seriously broken. With the updated database (players and leagues) I came 2nd on in the Prem with Brighton, and won the FA Cup. I didn’t make any transfers of my own either.
some great tips here - going to start implementing the rest one for sure! always set up my coaches, first thing I do in every save and at the start of every season
to point 5: its only fair to mention that the competitors in FM world cup were also sometimes simming "less important" games. it was a risk, sure but saved a ton of time
In my opinion, changing training only matters if you like playing with 16-22 yo players and you really enjoy developing them. If you are playing with seasoned and experienced players who are already closer or at their peak, training is just there to keep their attributes from degrading (which will still happen naturally). That being said, been using the Germans' tactic in FM and it is a beast and with it a team can defeat others 2 divisions ahead of you, effectively allowing EPL 1 teams in England to take on Premier teams.
Really good video. I spend a lot of time looking for staff, assigning coaches etc. I really like how you have accessed there saves and looked under the hood. Im assuming they had limits on how good they could make their manager and prioritised 5 star attacking tactical. I personally make sure my manager is 5 star set pieces. So hard to find a great set piece coach.
I go to the coaches section of training about once a month of in-game time. I won't pretend that I know much or that I micromanage my team very well, but with coaching courses and other changes I find that the coaching workload can go to heavy fairly often. I just like to go through and make sure the best people are working their proper jobs. I am interested in the training schedules though. I wonder if it was a Jose Mourinho like set up where they just cared that the players were good to know the game plan NOW and win short term. It's the only reason I could see for not training with a focus and making many players not train at all with the rest tab.
Hmm turns out i was playing really well.. i always hire the best coaches that i can, leave training as it is..., train players as their roles on the pitch, on the resting tab i do similarly like the germans but not as extremely like them, i havent done the mentoring groups.. will look into that
I always sort the training out and have started to look into it even more. I do wonder tho how important is it that your staff prefer the same tactic as your trying to play. I currently rock the 3421 at chelsea
Fuck. I made a solid 4-2-3-1 made during my first ever time playing the game as Celtic and thought I cooked something up. Turns out I’m just super basic
I know training tab very well, every save I tweak it to get best results from staff. Just my question is - will players(young ones in particular) still develop as well as on custom training schedules when you’ll just leave it as default?
Some great tips! Just want to ask how big of a difference is there between the german 4231 or the indonesian 4231 or they pretty much as good as each other?

@@HoodGamingUK exactly, if even 5/10 years rebuild is rare for youth player to come through, it's even less likely for 3 seasons.

Marginal changes. The Germans used a regista and one of the full backs was actually a wing back on attack but pretty similar

Not as quick as me having to edit that comment 3 times 😅@@HoodGamingUK
nice video, are you to open ?
Its a bit sad this WC has turned the heads on a whole lot of FMers.
In what regard?
So annoying that you can’t do in depth routines for corners on console. Perhaps it’s time to invest in a pc lol.
That corner thing doesn’t work

I would advise just not touching anything - leave it as is. Don’t delegate training to your assistant etc
