My Dad was. chemical engineer. He worked for Corning in the 1940s and helped developed the heat resistant paint that would stick to the heat resistant Pyrex glass that Corning had developed. Glad to see that his work has stood the test of time. 🙂

My father was a chemical engineer too. He worked for Union Carbide in the 60's, 70's, and 80's developing pesticides and herbicides for agriculture. Sadly, his work has contributed to the poisoning of our ground water, surrounding lakes due to runoff, as well as earth's inhabitants too. 😢

That Pyrex measuring cup is a lot larger than the 1 cup I have here, it looks like it will hold at least another quarter cup of liquid if filled to the brim, whereas mine will hold just over 1 cup when filled. I also have the 2 and 4 cup Pyrex measuring cups. But I inherited mine, they must be at least 50 years old, and they still have all their markings and not a scratch on them. Excellent quality.

Greek chicken didn’t sound too bad, but I think there were too many herbs and not enough lemon. A thumbs up for the Athenos Feta Cheese…my favorite since I can’t get real sheep or goat milk Feta where I shop.

Will y’all please, please PLEASE make a chiffon cake and put to rest the issue of whether to butter and flour the pan or not…??? There are so many mixed messages out there: some say yes prepare the pan, others say no don’t do it and some say do it or don’t do it depending on if it is a non stick pan or not…so can you tell I’m confused on this one…hoping y’all can help me find clarity…thank you…🙂
