I saw this & it was fabulous. What I've noticed since is that Ebersole is one of the few people who were able to truly "set" a performance & still make it feel fresh. Elaine Stritch was the same.
Thank you for posting. I was so lucky to see her on Broadway in this and she gave one of the great musical performances I've ever seen, in 40 years of going to Broadway shows. Her entire performance was so heartbreaking and so beautifully acted and sung.
This is a very strange piece. Narrating the strange mind of Edie. It is oddly melodic in the second part despite the obvious devices used in the first section. It certainly was disturbing and haunting.
