Summary of the video: Facebook is recommending advertisers to use broad targeting for their ads audience, with the new recommendation being to reach an audience size of more than 2 million people. This represents a significant change in Facebook ads targeting, prioritizing larger audiences for better performance. However, it's still important for advertisers to test and choose targeting options that make sense for their specific business goals.
I’ve been doing their broad targeting for about 6 months and I’ve been making more money but with a higher CPA compared to two years ago. I’m not a fan of it but it’s a good counter to the IOS update that ruined everything
broad been working great for me too. Plus you can scale to the moon and use LAL when needed. We already know they show ads to people based on whatever they say around their phone so why even bother targeting when we have CIA level A.I doing all the work for us.
My estimated audience size is listed as 236,200,000 - 277,800,000. Can you help explain why it is so high compared to the numbers you mentioned? Is it a good thing or a bad thing to have such a huge number?
Some companies run 300-400 ad like fiverr. they run sales or traffic ad? Sales campaign is so expensive. How they get so much sale and still profitable? What do you think?
Hiya Ben, this has helped so much, just a Question because I am working with local business my estimated audience size is much smaller than the recommended 2 million, will this affect my ads performance?
Hello Ben Heath Love your content , I just wanted to know if there are any ways that I can replace facebook catalogue products images, instead of using shopify product image I want to use another image.
Thanks for sharing. I have noticed one thing that I find it hard to understand. With the exact same criteria on demographics and location, my open targeting audience size is smaller than interest set targeting audience e size. I find it strange. What's your insight?
Great stuff man!! Loving the channel. Can I ask though... if you have a single let's say female fitness product with a price point of $17 (non recurring), (excluding seasonality fluctuations) what can you reasonably expect to pay to acquire a single paying customer (on average) with an average FB ad that converts. $30? $50? $70? $100? Ignoring what the business would consider acceptable -- what would YOUR agency consider reasonable for a $17 front end female fitness product expect to pay on FB per purchase? Thanks!
Question for Ben: my Facebook account was hacked and made inaccessible to me overnight. I am running ads NOW and spend maybe $1000 per week with FB/Instagram. All the hacking was done while I was sleeping, so all links to me saying "IT WASN'T ME" have expired. Obiviously I want my account back, but I am also concerned about the hackers running THEIR ads and costing everyone money. I've tried all FB links to secure my account, but they don't work. There doesn't seem to be anywhere to contact FB about my dilemma. Does anyone have advice on who to contact about the ad manager situation? My account is about BUSINESS and not posting photos of pets, family, etc. Seems like FB would want to know about this! Thanks in advance. LOVE YOUR WORK! Has really made a different in what I do. SG
Would duration of the Campaign also impact the effectiveness of Broad/Specific targeting? I mean the AI/ML does need time to learn so for shorter campaigns would Specific targeting makes sense?
Always be led by the data so go with what's working best. But you only know what's working best by testing all the options. So I would certainly test open targeting
My products are mostly purchased by ultra high net worth individuals - and i only need one sale a week from a pool of maybe 300,000 impressions - i try to target them by only targeting high end phones- any idea what else i could do? I feel like all these videos focus on small products which focus on volume sales
Hi Ben, just started watching your videos but I have a question…so basically I run my ads from ads manager but when I go to review post it says “Advertising currently limited: This action is not available because the (my business name) Instagram account isn’t eligible to advertise. Please can you help me? 😐
-Hi, I chose the bidding limit strategy in a Facebook campaign “limit: $2.5 / purchase”. -The problem is that on the first day, Facebook spent $10 on a purchase. -What is the problem in your opinion? Thanks in advance :)
Just because you tell Facebook that your wish is to pay $2.5 for a conversion doesn't mean it can do that. We would all be rich if that would be possible.
FB ads been trash since the IOS update years ago... trash and getting worse.. nobody buying anything. Only a bunch of freebie seeking tire kickers left

Hi Ben, thank you for the always great content! Did you happen to advertise for Food Industry (restaurants) and what's your best ROAS for it?
Hi ben, Can you please mention the relevant link of this article. I couldn't find out it.

@@bangerpickleball that’s another thing lol. It feels too easy when it’s going great
@@bangerpickleball How big is your audience size if i may ask?
broad targeting is everyone so im guessing 200-300M. If youre asking how big my TAM is I would guess about 50M potential people.@@TurboAffordable
Should we be adding demographics and interest or leaving it blank?

Hey Ben thanks for the vid! Do you have a link to the article?
Hiya Ben, this has helped so much, just a Question because I am working with local business my estimated audience size is much smaller than the recommended 2 million, will this affect my ads performance?
I wouldn’t worry about it. As a local business there’s nothing you can do to increase audience size that makes sense.
Thank you :)@@BenHeath
Hello Ben Heath Love your content , I just wanted to know if there are any ways that I can replace facebook catalogue products images, instead of using shopify product image I want to use another image.
Good question. I would also like a dynamic carusel tutorial and best practises video.
Thank you Ben! Can you give me the link to Meta's page?
Hello. How can I get admin access to shared apps in Facebook? Could you help me with that?
Thanks for sharing. I have noticed one thing that I find it hard to understand. With the exact same criteria on demographics and location, my open targeting audience size is smaller than interest set targeting audience e size. I find it strange. What's your insight?
Same thing I am experience so I’m reluctant to entertain broad targeting

Yes, longevity tends to improve performance :)
My ads work best with detailed targeting. Should I continue doing that or test open targeting again after the changes made

I'd check out my Omnipresent Content video. That's most likely the strategy you want to implement.
Hi Ben,
Love your videos, I run a online perfume store.
Tried facebook/Instagram ads with no sales.
Any suggestions I can try?
Things like that scared me are they helping us or helping them?
In this case I think it’s both
No one will really ever know😂
so....should you use interests if its over 2 million? or still keep it all broad?
I would test larger interests alongside broad targeting :)

Ah you need to switch your instagram profile to a business one :)
@@BenHeathI have just done that but still coming across the same problem. 😢
Thanks a lot. ❤
The country I advertise in, has a population of 5.5 million 😂 I target an interest with 900.000
Thank you

Sure, they recommend it, but maybe they're a little biased? Just possibly? It's in their interest to dumb our ads down, to some extent.
