I just started one yesterday, repurposing an old binder, some photo album pages with the acid protector sheets, and a bunch of plastic sleeves. Tge furst thing I put in there was a re ipe I wrote down for yesterday's dinner. Over this weekend, I will work on my routines and my zone cleaning session. And I'm judt hoing to build as I go, and let the vision of how I want things irganised yo v9me yo me as I add things. If zi tried to create the whole heneral thing at once, my brain will implode 😂.
Aldo, I repurposed an old hand batlg 6estwrday, and it's now my purse/portable vommand center. I have a thin notebook, my calendar, can fit my tablet in yhere if I need it, and...wait for it...a brain dump journao! Yes, your video on having a brain dump journal ieot naghing at my brain for months! And my hubby just bought me a new journal. I decided not to use it as a personal journal, but a brain dump journal. The things I put in there are going to be invaluable in telling me brain how to organise my control journal. I uae both digital and written planning and organising, but I do 't have a strong fou dation for the written sydtem, because of over, thinking too much about how to set ut up. I mean, the amount of time it would take to get it all set up huts my brain to thonk about. But I need to create my own to avoid the limitations of using someone else's lists and categories. Just adding things as I ho. And labeling a new category every time an added thing doesn't fit into an existing category, will probably be way easier for my brain to handle, than creating tge qhole thing all at onxe.

My binder is one of my favorite organization things, too. I did a video about mine at the beginning of the month, but I love to see what others have in theirs. I so need to make a photo copy of all of our IDs. Thanks for the tip!

I started out with a similar system but over the years refined it. Look up bullet journaling on you tube.(you'll like it) So I use that because in a moleskine journal the size is portable and neat. And then a nice smallish Martha Stewart binder in pretty aqua for routines etc. I am going to do the photocopy thing but I put most of my important stuff in a fireproof safe. Thanks for sharing.

Hi Cass, greetings from NYC! I made one up after watching your earlier videos about one and OMG, it's the best ever. I am single, live alone, so no family and kids stuff. I have the medical, financial, take out, emergency sections too. I punched holes in a manila evelope and keep my birth certificate, SS card and passport in it. I was forever misplacing them. Not anymore! This is so helpful for all those papers that don't have a home clutter!! Thanks for the idea. You look fantastic, tres chic! :) Love the videos!!

Thanks for the suggestions, I am home for medical leave and this is a great idea of a project I can do while I recover. The thing is, if you like indiego so much, why don't you just laminate one, use the other ones and get a non permanent marker to write on? That way you keep the great structure. Make it on a 8 1/2 x 11 sheet, get holes punched and you can add it to your binder.

Wow!!! Your wallet was stolen in front of you too???!!! Mine was stolen off the counter at the DMV no less!!!!! I could NOT believe it!!!!! I had to call the police and file a report, go to the bank and change everything, the Social Security Office, Call all our Credit Card companies and everything. I lost special pictures that I can't replace, and a few other items besides some cash. My Heart was Pounding so Hard and I had Panic attacks and Anxiety attacks from it then and for quite some time after wards also. Was the most awful feeling. I do hope that you keep that binder under lock and key somewhere in case your home is ever broken into. Otherwise, there you go again with all your information out there again and having to go through all the same steps as before (on top of feeling extremely nervous all the time). I hate budgeting too :) I was always taught to clean a little bit everyday growing up and it became a habit for me. My son calls me a "Clean Freak" and he tells everyone he knows that too.....lol I totally love that "Wish List" idea!!! :) I need to do this also. I never can remember what I want when someone asks me (that is....if they actually do...lol).

A tip for markers I saw on another video: I use a Sharpie fine tip permanent marker and write on the sheet protector. Then when I want it off, I color over it with a dry erase marker and it wipes right off. That way, it doesn't smear or come off like the dry erase marker. I don't do this with stuff I erase daily, but for other stuff I want on longer (a week or more) I use the Sharpie.

    • @melissahall4094

Great idea on making a copy of the wallet contents. Plus the “in case of disaster” for parents list. I will definitely be doing that. On the notepads that you love, why don’t you slip one of those pages in the plastic sleeve and wipe that? That way you use less but still can use the ones that you like?Cute and environment friendly.

But writing things down helps to clean up my mind clutter. ;) That way when I go to bed at night I'm not thinking of the million things that need to be done or remembered...hahahaha.
I saw somewhere else online that there are now page protectors that close at the top. :)

Hint for you!! ~ Take your 'all out of sheet to a photocopy shop or somewhere that laminates. Get them to photocopy it to an A4 size ( so it fits nicely in your binder) and then laminate it! Super cheap, will only cost a couple of bucks! Then you wont have to get rid of your much loved sheet, simply write on it with a dry erase.

I just started using a microsoft product called "OneNote". I love it! I have little notes upon notes about notes....all over the place. I am trying to go totally paperless. I have you on 1/2 of my screen and my one note on the other side. If you say something helpful...I write it into my You Tube catagory. I have over 40 catagories. Medical, Milestones, Finances, Weight Loss, grocery list. Medications....you should try it!
