Thanks , this is the only video on YT that actually shows how the fluid should be dripping from check bolt to confirm correct level.

Shut off that worthless Auto Start/Stop feature.
All it does is wear out ones starter motor much quicker and its not so hot for the engine either.

How do you check a civic for level? My driveway slopes and I'm using ramps in the front and jack stands in the back.

After you cycle through gears, shouldn't you turn off the engine why doing level check ? It says that in the manual paper at 1:17

Do you have the torque specs and what type of crush washer is used. Love you channel and subbed.

When just doing a maintenance drain and fill every 30k , can you just mesure what comes out and put it back in? (At same room temperature)

You sure can, but since you have to drain it anyway, why not just remove the level check plug while you are down there, unless you have a vacuum pump with a long tube.
Then make sure your vacuum fluid tank starts out empty.

Can you just refill the same amount of HCF2 you've drained when doing a drain/fill?
I've drove my 2017 civic for 160k KM with that level of oil, I'd assume the level was correct?

I’ve had good luck doing a drain and fill. Measure the amount you took out and put it back. Everything at ambient temperature.

That's if you KNOW that the last fluid change was done correctly and no fluid has been lost.

As there is no dip stick to check tranny fluid, this is quite inconvenient to do....

Should not be running when adjusting level.

I’ve seen other videos saying to check level with car turned off. Whats the correct way to check level ? Car off or on at operating temperature ?

the honda’s that require checking the fluid level with car off are the regular not cvt transmissions.

Buddy you said just the opposite of it

10th gen Civic service manual says to check 2.0 engine CVT at operating temp with engine off, and to check 1.5 engine CVT with engine off (manual doesn't mention being at operating temp for 1.5 engine CVT, but I'd assume that it should be at operating temp)

Ofcorse it needs to be with engine off, the way he just did with the belt spinning it was throwing all the oil out, this tranny is probably dried now

Everyone is asking you if you should check level with engine off because it sounds like your engine is ON.
