Actually that Military Honor is too much for me, my Grandfather(Soldier in Japanese Redeem), received 21 Gun Salute and Philippine Flag w/Pin,but Military send only 6 Soldiers(enough to hold and fold the flag) ,no band ,no March, ,but thanks to all veterans who still alive that time who came to help and buried my grandfather.
Heartbreaking another good soldier we lost, rest in peace hope the family may get the justice they deserve. I remember Cadet Cudia, was not allowed to graduate, we also lost a good soldier, imagine the sacrifices and the pain himself and the family bears, PMA culture must be change from top to bottom.

Habang pinanunuod ko po ito naantig lalo ang puso ko sa isang aso na para bang lungkot na lungkot ...na hanggang sa huli ay andun pa rn ,,inaamoy at hinuhukay ang libing ng kanyang amo...hangad ko rin ang hustiya para kay cadet demetrio.
I always have a high respect to all Filipino soldiers however I couldn't imagine that we will have future barbaric soldiers from PMA. Tsk.
The PMA no longer serves the nation. Its culture of isolating immature teenagers from society is wrong. The PMA only graduates 300 cadets per year and this is only one-tenth of what is needed to replace the officers who are killed, medically discharged, resign or retire. There is no need to spend P3Million per PMA cadet for four years. Better to just get the new officers from the ROTC and Officer Candidate Schools. Convert the PMA into a school that trains combat veterans and high-performance platoon leaders and small-unit commanders into company-grade commanders. Stop sending 17-year-old teenagers to PMA and start schooling combat-tested 22-year-old leaders in advanced management, leadership, planning, logistics, command, communications, and control. Do you think there will still be hazing of 22-year-old combat veterans! I don't think so.
That's why I didn't let my son pursue his desire. MAAP is still the best... No hazing and NO TOUCH POLICY...my son is lucky enough he is in MAAP. Di ko kakayanin na ihahatid ko ang anak ko SA d dapat nya hahantungan

The military honors is not for the dead but for the living that loved him. That is often said by Chaplains during a memorial service for the service member that passed away. It is away to thank the family for allowing the one they love to serve & have paid the ultimate price.
