The actor of Prahlad cried for the whole night before the shoot to have bulky eyes and a depressed face. Hats off to his performance. Every Panchayat fan heart was crushed that day. We all went to bed with a heavy heart.
The moment at the end is so realistic when Vikas says "Prahlad uncle" in desperation as Prahlad begins to cry uncontrollaby and they realize that he's finally letting the grief come pouring out. Lost my father a year back (yesterday was his first death anniversary), and I remember doing something similar to comfort my mom. Fantastic acting in all these shows that keeps getting more and more impressive.
Thank you for sharing with us bro. My sincere condolences for your loss. And I couldn't agree more, this show just keeps getting better and better it's such a joy to watch.
@@WhatSayRay thanks for the kind words, and for the reactions. Your balance of commentary and understanding the nuances and even attempting to pronounce the Indian names right is refreshing to see among reaction channels. I was impressed by how they depicted life it's unpredictable. One moment you are laughing and just living a simple normal life and in next moment your entire world shatters within seconds.
Loved your reaction bro. You cried, when Prahlad cried. You laughed when Prahlad laughed. As I often say, it doesn't matter where you are from, what part of the world you come from, your religious believes, your customs, your culture, your race - your skin color - but every human being on the planet has SAME EMOTIONS - When they laugh, they laugh and when they cry, they cry! Loved you shared your story and your feelings with us bro! Much respect...
This is what happened to every single person who watched this series… we were all emotional wrecks like you… this scene however is accurate. The ordinary small town & villagers make the backbone of the Indian military. They come from small towns and villages all around India and wear their patriotism on their sleeves. The village appreciates the army as well because it is a source of employment, education & livelihood for a lot of people. It is a matter of pride for a family if their child serves in the military. So when that son falls in active service, it affects the family & village in a massive way. Socially, economically and emotionally. The entire village and community grieves at the loss. This is the reality.
You were not alone man...i cried like a baby while watching this !!! One of the greatest web series ever made...not just in india but throughout the world !!! Also do watch season 3...It will give u a bit of relief !!
The level of acting by each individuals in Panchayat is beyond anyone's expectations. Every character has become a star in India and recognised even in farthest part of the country. Hard work finally paying them off now. Wow...
Emotionally destroys me. Every time. The first half is so oddly satisfying and the later half, is contrastively expressive of the unity of all the villagers. Especially considering that the character of Prahlad is so innocent and at the same time genuinely nice and you really don't want to happen anything to him. His standing up for Abhishek against MLA, but even before, in the episode where Pradhan is angry at Abhishek as under him the monitor gets stolen, he stops him from seeking any other place, and countless other times, stating and maintaining the purity of his heart having been through so much and choosing still to smile to happen this to him really makes you wonder if there is someone up there who is unfair, especially to the nicest people. It practically shatters you the most beautifully and at the same time heart wrenching captures of the filmography, a beautiful narrative from the reporters as like a bystanders discussing the sacrifices made by these village people even though they are also the ones to be least funded or looked to for new progress.... all culminate in such a fascinatingly warm emotion build up. I watched it back when I was in India, and could not at all stop myself from crying. Such a beautiful scene. Amazing work done by everyone in the cast, crew... amazing.
Although I can’t relate to your pain, you are so genuine Ray! Sorry to hear about your loss. Warm hugs to all who have recently lost a family member, nothing worse than that 😢

Hi Ray, I really enjoy reliving the Panchayat series through your reactions. There is one thing that I felt very personally after watching this episode that I wish to share with you. The character Prahlad is played by this actor Faisal Malik. In a country as diverse as India, acting and showbiz is an art form that seamlessly blends two frankly polar opposite religions, Islam and Hinduism. Like scores of other actors, we see Faisal, a Muslim play Prahlad, a Hindu in this series. Now the portion at the very end when he shaves his head and facial hair for the funeral is a very Hindu tradition. The person who lights the funeral pyre typically does that, which often times is an immediate relative. Forget for a second the requirement of the scene, the fact that Faisal did go through a haircut to enact this scene shows how beautifully those who create art are able to rise beyond their individual identities to project something for the screen so the masses can consume it. I think it is a selfless act beyond words that the actor in question underwent this transformation because his belief in the art form was bigger than his beliefs that distinguish his religion as separate from one which practices this. Hats off to the creators of Panchayat and to Faisal Malik. We have a saying in India called “Mera Bharat Mahaan” which means “My India, the great”. It is often used with a sign of resignation when the system fails you as a citizen. In this case though, the fact that it connected these two religions through the act of this individual actor, it epitomized to me that indeed my India is great. Thanks for reading through this. It felt good to share it with you.
i have had watched this episodes 6 times since its release but every times its gets to me. kudos to the TVF team for handling the episodes right.gem production house of india
This episode was so heart wrenching specially because how contrasting it is to the slice of life theme of the show and the acting of Prahlad was Top Notch i heard somewhere that the actor of Prahlad was not Actor by proffesion but the durector and showmakers thought he could do the role justice and man he did his job to perfection
Thank you Ray…you’re a pure soul. 🙏🏽 On the bright side you won’t have to wait for a couple of years like the rest of us had to for Season 3. You’ve got a lot going on…so in your own time. 👍🏽

And seeing these episodes with you even though we all have seen it like 50 times , you make it worth watching. We all count on you getting the things that are happening in this series and feel every emotion that are there. You have done everything perfectly. God bless you Ray, ❤️🫂.
I am so glad what they showed in the last episode about our Soldiers. Its very true, majority of our soldiers come from villages, although every Indian respects soldiers, sheds tears fir them when we hear such news; it also explains the more we stay away from our roots the more we lack touch with our motherland country, we definitely feel enraged and upset but again we are spoilt and take things for granted when we come from big cities or towns, and are only looking for conveniences. What saddens and infuriates me is that we loose so many of our soldiers due to terrorists and not in any front wars, i mean we have such a despicable and nuisance neighbour which runs on this agenda of infiltration, factory of terrorism. We have huge border with them, with tremendously challenging terrains and peak whether conditions which is another factor that you cannot always secure every stretch of border. Thus the rampant cases we get, as in its not like terrorists follow any ethics. Much much much indebted snd respect to every soldier and their families, your courage sacrifice is beyond everything. I felt this feeling so awfully close once when one of my friend's classmate martyred while in a terrorist encounter operation, i was not able to fathom what to say to console her and be okay.
Truly it was heart wrenching... They really got us... No one seen this coming... Just like you i was expecting for prayer meeting... More conflict between banrakas and panchayat team... But they did so bad to prahalad cha ... No matter how many times i have seen it ... Always makes me cry 😢

I always thought Panchayat is light hearted show which we can watch just to relax and when I saw last episode of season 2 I kinda disliked it as I dont like sad endings and it was too emotional to see it but then I saw one interview of show makers and they said that they wanted to show how is atmosphere when soldiers body arrive in village and they were very apt in it. Its 100% absolutely true. Everything that they show in last episode exactly same thing happens when soldiers body come back in village. Many soldiers in indian army are from village.
