OMG Chris, I did not see this coming. You fortunately had a friend who you could lean on and help you out. You are doing the right thing with your two eldest and I hope they join you on another adventure before they end up in college and have their own busy lives. Thanks for the movie and sharing your road trip back. Ross
As a viewer I have so enjoyed your trip and admired you as a dad who enjoys spending time with his kids and making memories that will warm their hearts forever. As for the car, feel free to fly back down to Texas and follow the rivers (MIssissippi, Ohio and Kanawha) to my place and drop it off. I'd be more than happy to show you around the hills and hollers around here and then deliver you back to DE. Thanks again for letting us live a little through you and your kids.!
Chris, please please finish your trip over winter break or spring break with the kids!! I was so watching your videos of your trip and looked forward to the next one and now I’m sad that you ended your trip early!!
Yes sir...enjoy as much time with your kids as you can. Before you know It they will have their own families and maybe even have careers that move them to different parts of the country. So this time is time that can't be made up some other time. I thoroughly enjoyed this series. And I so appreciate you sharing It on RUclips with the world. God bless you and your family.
2:00 If the fuel pump keeps clicking off while re-fueling one or more of the fuel EVAP lines may clogged with schmutz. Just find the affected lines, pull them off, and blow them out with compressed air. In the mean time, you may want to flip the gas pump nozzle 180 degrees, and hold it at the 6 O'clock position while re-fueling, that usually ensures a fill up, without having the pump clicking off. That was cool seeing Gary at his new shop. Bummer the Bimmer didn't make it back to CT. I was waiting for one of your detailing, and paint correction videos. My vote is to ship it back.
CHP9372 No decision needed here. It’s obvious. It’s’ ALWAYS “ all about the car and driving. No planes needed. No transporters needed. Just get back there, jump in behind the steering wheel and drive that BEAST back, no matter how fast a blast it is!!
Glad you guys made it back safe! You definitely made the right call to stop in Waco & then head back home. I think the giveaway is a great idea! If you think about it, Waco is close enough to the center of the country for easy travels for the winner.
Dude ,your time with your kids is absolutely " PRICELESS"!!! Maybe bring it home and give it to your kids, they'll more than likely cherish it,and it will still be a GIVEAWAY!!! Involve them in its reconditioning, another father and kid project,EH???
My vote is to let it sit until you can finish the journey - then give it away. You'll have a chance to make more memories on the second leg and it will build some suspense and drama around the giveaway.
Hey Chris, great story ... THANKS for sharing all the parts: my advise: if you have time, go on the second part with the "great german BMW" next year. Let stand your car just be in Texas for a year ... with my motorcycle I'm doing the same right now in Vancouver. The experience of this " across from west to east Story" is unique..and your children will surely come back with you next year ... and they will think of that "race" all their lives, but: the main thing is that you're at home again on the 8th of July next year .. I will visit you then in Deleware :-). Regards. Frank
I think you should have the car shipped up. If it’s the same cost for sure. Then you don’t have to rush down and rush back. I have made that same trip several times for my old job. It’s great to be able to drive across the country.
Hmm - well combine it, either get the car to delaware then give it away it away or give it away with the caveat of driving from Waco to Delaware (ok I'd do that bit :) but hey thanks for sharing, we did a big trip to California and loved it. G'day from Aus!
Well a tough decision you have to make. Options I can think of... 1. Fall break, take the kids and finish the trip. 2. Ship it home and enjoy it for six months and give it away in the spring. 3. Keep your investment at a minimum and give it away from Gary's place. Looks like all of you enjoyed the trip and made some lifetime memories. I'm happy for all of you. ~Pat
You turned me on to my Grand Marquis with your Crowns, still got my car got a bucket more miles as we all moved to Fl...gonna drive iut to Louisiana to visit family and now that I'm retired the west coast isn't far off.... keep the dirty side down !
My choice would be to leave it in Waco. The winner can make their own arrangements. The most important things are the hours spent with the kids, the videos and the memories. My kids are grown and out of the house. I miss them. I miss seeing them, and interacting with them. They have families and 3 wonderful grand kids. Love your kids now. They grow up so fast.
Great video. One of my favs in the series. I think you should leave her where sge sits and do the giveaway there. Its a FREE car. If you cant pick it up..you dont need it,😂😂 hell im in sc. Give it to ne ill drive it home in 3 days😂😂😂
Ah man - anyone ever go to Waco, stop at the Dr. Pepper Museum. Lost my ‘02 E39 to a nearby lightning strike, fried the light module and while driving before I knew it, the dash harness. Car was totaled. Still bummed.
Hi chris when you were at magnolia at waco ....did you get a chance to see chip and joanna gaines ????? Didnt see it on your video but you were right there at the silos cool ....
Why not give it away where she sits and let the winner decide if they go north east or west with it?? One caveat they have to tape there road trip to be shared on your Chanel.
I loved the series of travel videos so so much!! My wife and daughter who don’t give a hoot about cars watched every video with me on the BIG TELEVISION & even said,”If you get a notification don’t watch without us!” I would love to see more of this but I know it’s hard, so either way thanks for the wonderful experience!!
My vote: Ship to your home. More personal. Great trip, man. Thanks for taking us along, too!

That paper licence plate might just tear off and be gone. Give it away while it sits in Waco, let someone else pick up the adventure.
