Just bought an 1990 Kx250. New cylinder, New piston. FMF pipe and Pro circuit 304 silencer. I love it. The sound, How the power is delivered.. Just lovely.
In 1989, I raced a 1989 Suzuki RM250, and owned the track at every race. It was the first model with inverted front forks and that allowed me to blow through turns like I could never do on my 1988 RM250 (that I sold).
I have a friend who has an '89 RM 250, and to this day, he absolutely refuses to give it up. While the rest of us are riding modern bikes, he's still racing his Suzuki, and I don't blame him one bit. That bike was awesome back in '89, and it's still awesome today.
I raced one in 89. I had the suspension revalved for a massive improvement. It had a 125 power band with 250 power. It was awesome on loamy tracks but on hard pack it was a disadvantage.
i want one that nice. one of my favorite bike. i rode 91 and a 92 250 one had a very short powerband but it had a ton of power down low and mid. the other had a great powerband
Which was which as I have heard this before ,each year they swapped power from top to bottom . I had a 1990 RM250 and it was mental ,much quicker than I could manage and it tired me out every race , then my mate took up MX and he ended up with a 1989 RM250 and immediately was quicker than me . One day he let me try his bike out ,it had really good bottom and mid range power but went flat on full revs therefore was much easier to ride than mine .
@davew9360 I can't remember exactly which one was which they were a friend of mine I rode them but that was a long time ago. I had a 88 yz 250 it was faster to me then both of them but it was modified and on race gas.
@@rabbidpotatoegaming4514 It has always been, and will always be...80% rider, 20% motorcycle. Put a good rider on good machine like this RM250 and you have a winner every time.

@@2525alainas the CR was by far the best motor/power, the RM handles best and the KX was not completely tuned so I couldn’t get a real good comparison with it. The CR was a friend’s, so it didn’t have my set up…but was by far the best of the bunch

Vintage ends in the 70's, that includes classic rock! 😃
I was with you the whole way lol!
Awesome ride pal.
When you put all your fancy gear on as a novice withe your new bike but get your ass kicked by a 33 year old bike pretty sad.
Exactly "novice" you can't compare the two. It has to do with the Rider

This bike RIPS 👍
Takes me back to a time when a motorcycle sounded like a motorcycle….and not a box of farts!
2 strokes all day
Nice! Any engine mods?

My old bike
My 99 eats a gallon an hour. How bout yours? Lol.
My 2000 did to before I got the lectron carb on it and now it’s got what it needs in power and is WAY more efficient
Case Reed engine sucks
why is the gas cap not centered
@@donaldtrumpenstein9722 I think whatever that happened. It was an attempt to make it easier for pouring in fuel. It’s OEM.
