Thank you, Maangchi for not only nourishing us with delicious Korean food dishes. You also enlighten our souls & lift spirits! I wish for your continuing success in 2011 & beyond... 감사합니다, Emily! -Jeff from Dallas, TX
Im a koki korean food in indonesia .i just work as a chef for korean people's in my country im feel so aproud of myself im much learning of your video. Thank you MANGCHI .
@misspeaking A lot of middle eastern countries like Turkey for example like the burt rice at the bottom of a pan too! So much so that when they have a honored guest in their home they let the guest have the biggest portion of it. Actually quite a few call it "edible gold" because only great cooks can get the burn juuuust right.
This looks so delicious! This looks perfect to put in a lunchbox ^^ I love burnt rice too! Thank you so much for posting the video, and Happy Halloween Maangchi!
@sincerelyallis I didn't think about it when I chose the blue wig but many people think I intended to look like her. : ) I don't know! I just picked it for this year. Last year, I was wearing blonde and 2 years ago on Halloween, I work pink wig.
3 years ago I watched this video. I decided to see it again just because every time I cook rice, I think of this video and how you didn’t waste any of it. ☺️
What a coincidence! The day you upload this is the day my friend showed me it for the first time! I would've been searching everywhere for a video about this if I wasn't subscribed to you.
Very good ....This video has it all ! light and funny ,New ready to buy and eat Korean items, educating us on rice cooking in a pot...and Korean burnt rice tea... Nice Job
....One the best parts of making and eating rice is the burnt bits!!! Now I have to drive 50 miles to the local H Mart this weekend to pick a kit up! :P I'm craving this so much!
@t1n26 yes, galbitang is one of my upcoming recipes. Check my radish soup with beef recipe on my website. If you like galbitang, you will like it, too.
Thanks so much for the helpful tips! I am great at cooking rice without a cooker, but Korean short grain is so different from what I am used to, Jasmine, Basmatic, and other longer grains, that I have been intimidated to try short grain again after messing it up the first time, lol.
Ahh! I've been waiting for this one! (: And you used those bamboo plate things we stole from the Asian Feastival! (: Hope you're well Maangchi, totally going to make this. Thank youuuu! (: -Sam.
I saw this video a long time ago, but just last Friday I was able to find the yubuchobap kit. I just finished making it and they are delicious! Thank you for your video. I also made ddeokbokki with your recipe last Friday and it was so good!! I added carrots and potatoes.

Maangchi I want to make Yubuchobap but near my house don't have korean shop to buy Yubuchobap kit . Do you know how to make it if you can please make recipes about it 🙏.
take note folks, the fried tofu skins Koreans use for yubuchobap may be different from that of Chinese of Japanese use. The yubu Koreans use are already seasoned with rice vinegar so they are sweet. Just a heads up.
OMG!!! I first saw yubuchobap in "We Got Married" when Alex made it. It looked delicious! I'm so glad you teach us how to make it. Now I can be like Alex. Haha... ^^
