Oh! Oh! Oh! I’m in love. These 2 are ADORABLE. I love these cows in real life so of course I’m going to be in love with the ones you’ve made Patti. I’d never be able to make them cos of my hands. They hurt watching you making them but it’s enough seeing you make them. These are my favourite cows. I fell in love with cows when my husband and I rented a house on 169 acres and the owner has cows. He would only have black cows and it was a struggle watching him separate the calves and take them away from their mum’s. I couldn’t stand listening to the poor mum’s cry for a few days when he did that, cos he took them away at the gate next to the house so thats where they would crowd around and wait and cry for their babies. I grew to understand them lots more and I grew to love them, I wanted him to get a different colour but it was something about black cows. I got to know lots of little calves before they were separated and they are adorable with big personalities as are their mum’s. Saw plenty being born too. You just get attached to them, well I did anyway cos I spent a lot of time in the paddocks with them. I was so excited Patti to see wha5 you were making in this video. To me they are the most adorable of all the cows there are. So cute. You’ve made my night making these so thank you for everyone who asked for these to be made. You are so clever and God certainly tapped you on the head with his craft stick. I used to think that I’d been missed with this and he’d given my craftiness to the next person instead of me but I’ve finally agreed with myself that I got enough to make me happy, it’s just God gave some a lot more than me lol. That’s always been my excuse anyway. Thanks for this video Patti, you made me very happy (just in case you couldn’t tell lol). I hope you and your family have an awesome weekend, including your gorgeous little fur baby too.
Thank you so much Pamela. I would have a hard time hearing the mom cows cry for their babies. I am such an animal lover, it makes me sad when they are sad. My aunt and uncle lived on a ranch when I was in grade school and my sister and I would stay with them over the summers. They had a lot of cows and told us not to name them. Of course we named them anyways, and when we would come back the next summer they would be gone. At the time I really did not know where they went. I would love to see a highland cow in person, we don't have them here (at least not where I live). They are the prettiest of the cows, I would have to agree with you. I hope that you have a wonderful weekend.
It was so smart to glue that strip of foam to the inside edge of the fur first to attach the two ends of fur together to make the tube! Now hopefully no burned fingers!
Oh I didn’t think you could make anything cuter than the highland cow! Lil girl calf is even cuter!!!!! Thx for sharing. Hope I can make this turn out as great as yours. Thx again for sharing your creations. 😊
I was going to tell you about the double knot thing and you said it. I learned that a few years ago and it really makes you independent on your projects. I mean I don't have to drag someone to help me with their finger. It's a cute trick. Love the videos on here. Quick way to learn a lot. Thank you.
Awe Patti, she is so stinking adorable 💕 Yes, you pronounced it 😊. I loved the other one you made, but I love this one as well. Thank you so much for the pattern, the inspiration and for sharing 🤗 bless you xo
Tiny winy and absolutely adorable!! Such Great work and talent you have!! I love it!! I swear you can really put anything together. Always thinking and working...you are amazing!!
You pulled me in with this cute little animal, & I've watched several other of your videos as I think you have the best looking gnomes I've seen ! Thank you for sharing them all !! ❤
Oh my lanta, she is so stinking cute I can’t stand it ! Thank you so much for sharing. Just subscribed to your channel and can’t wait to see your other videos 💕
I love watching all your tutorials. They are all amazing and cute. Wish I could make them though but would cost too much. Thanks for all your amazing makes xx
Hi Patti J. oh my GOODness....I love this little one, she is super adorable! Will have to make this one for sure. I am looking at the Alpaca/Llama I made recently on my table and it turned out so cute, thanks to you. I did go rogue and used a Yarn (same brand you used) that had loops on it, so it's needs a shearing...lol I have some Poodle fur and may use it to make another. I have so many Furs of different kinds in my stash and now have a use for them...not a hoarder...😉 Thank you so much for bringing your creations to us. They always make me smile. Love ya back!♥♥♥
Thank you Dee. That is probably super cute with the loop yarn. I have a lot of fur in my stash too, I hope to use it all some day. I am a fur hoarder LOL.
Oh how adorable is this one? Love it ! Thank you for always sharing your patterns and all of the supplies needed, I use to watch another crafter that made gnomes , when they first started out they would do it for free like you , but now they stopped doing it for free and now if you want to make what they show a pictures of, now ( not even a tutorial like they use to) you have to pay money to be in their group to be able to make the things they create. I totally understand that this is their business side, but as a person that is on disability and the budget is super tight now that everything is so expensive ( craft supplies , food just living in general) I stopped subscribing to them because I Loved what they made but couldn't afford their group / classes,so why should I see what they were offering in their group if I couldn't afford it? I don't like to sound negative about it but it sure is disappointing. So thank you again. For sharing with us , it is so appreciated. Hugs from Ephrata 🤗💕
Thanks Roberta. I'm sorry that they charge now for there classes. I love sharing what I do with all of ya'll. It makes it more fun. I understand that everyone is on a budget, I am too. That is why I still have a regular full time job LOL. Have a great week. Hugs from Texas.
This is BEYOND ADORABLE... I was wondering if there's a video of making dogs with the faux fur and pool noodles as well. Or what other animals can be made like this ? 🤔
Thank you so much. I have make other animals from a noodle. I made a Llama and some bears. I will have to try a dog, that is a good idea. Thanks for the suggestion.
What a cutie pie! We need to make a whole Highland family!! You know I love everything you do. You never cease to amaze me. I hope everything is alright by you. I know the weather has been scary there. Thank you as always my friend. Stay safe. Pattie
Patti - thank you for the tutorial and supply list. Can you please advise what size eye you used in the video? The link went to a collection of different sizes and I don't have use for multiple sizes.
It will be that size or smaller. I wasn’t to sure how I was going to do the ears as I sew everything, good idea. Love your tutorials. I get ideas then create my own design
Thanks Kristyn. I bought mine here Noodle (Pipe Insulation) - 1 7/8″ outside diameter - bit.ly/3S5aM7X (You can use something close to this) 1.8″ Styrofoam Ball - amzn.to/3GTacF0
Thanks, but you don't need a license for this one. This one you can make and sell without a license. The shop is getting the amber brown fur back in today.
I am going to share this video with the group I am in that is always asking about a pattern. This one is so easy, but what if you don't have the clay? I am not a fan of it. I guess fabric would be alright to use. You have the best videos.

What a cutie pie! We need to make a whole Highland family!! You know I love everything you do. You never cease to amaze me. I hope everything is alright by you. I know the weather has been scary there. Thank you as always my friend. Stay safe. Pattie
Thanks Pattie, a whole highland family would be awesome. I am doing fine, they weather was a little scary, but no damage. Have a great week friend.
@@PattiJGood that's a relief. I was quite concerned. The past few weeks Dallas has been on the news quite a bit.
@@patriciaanderson38 Thank you Pattie.
very good instructions ===
Thank you so much.
Super cute! 😍
Thank you! 😊
so cute
Patti - thank you for the tutorial and supply list. Can you please advise what size eye you used in the video? The link went to a collection of different sizes and I don't have use for multiple sizes.
I used the one that is 1/2" Thanks, Patti
@@PattiJGood Thank you!
Darling!!!!!!
Love ❤
Thank you 😊
Patti, is there something I could substitute for the 1" craft foam like some leather scraps?
That would work great.
Absolutely adorable, but when I follow the link to the faux fur, it’s sold out. Do you have another alternative?
Thank you. This one is very close and will work just fine tidd.ly/3LZP0Qs
@@PattiJGood thank you. 😊
Where did you get that exacto knife and thing to clip dowels
I bought the exacto knife at Michaels. The miter shears I got here - amzn.to/3lo4Om9
Hi Patty! Love this. Can you tell me where you got your Fiskar's kit?
They have them on Amazon, but Michaels sells them for less.amzn.to/3Al9V8P
@@PattiJGood thanks!
I have a request to make a mini Highland Coo. Thank you for the video
Thank you so much. This one is 4", are you looking for one smaller than that? Thanks, Patti
It will be that size or smaller. I wasn’t to sure how I was going to do the ears as I sew everything, good idea. Love your tutorials. I get ideas then create my own design
Hi Patti. Had a quick question. When you bake the horns do you lay them down, or have them stick up??? Thank you
I lay them down on parchment paper. Thanks, Patti
Hey Patti!! A small cutie!! ❤where can i find the craft foam?
Thanks Kristyn. I bought mine here Noodle (Pipe Insulation) - 1 7/8″ outside diameter - bit.ly/3S5aM7X (You can use something close to this)
1.8″ Styrofoam Ball - amzn.to/3GTacF0
I love it god bless you i wondering can u do a cowboy or a biker please love every rhing u do😍😍
Thank you Louisa. I did a cowboy last year. I will add a biker to my list. Thanks, Patti
Can that clay be painted after baking with acrylic paints?
Yes it can. You will have to do several coats.
Which direction do you cut the fur? Which is the height?
5" or 6"
The height is the 5", the width is the 6". Thanks, Patti
Patti I struggle with knowing what to charge when I make things. You are so talented, this is adorable!! What would you charge for this??
If I were selling them, I would ask around 35 dollars or more
This is so darling
Can you make a bear this size??
Thanks Mary, I will try. Thanks for the suggestion.
Your seller doesn’t have any more of that fur. Can you tell me what shade it is? Is it more of a copper?
I am so sorry. It is called amber brown. She has a gingerbread brown that is pretty too. It is a little darker than this one. Thanks, Patti
@@PattiJGood if I can locate everything I need I’ll be getting your license for this one. 😉
Thanks, but you don't need a license for this one. This one you can make and sell without a license. The shop is getting the amber brown fur back in today.
@@PattiJGood oh ok. Thank you so much on both counts!
I have some of the fur ordered. Thank ya for letting me know about her getting more. 😀
What kind of cutters are those
It is called a miter shear. I got mine here amzn.to/3lo4Om9
I am going to share this video with the group I am in that is always asking about a pattern. This one is so easy, but what if you don't have the clay? I am not a fan of it. I guess fabric would be alright to use. You have the best videos.
Thank you Barbara. You could probably use fabric for the horns. The clay is really easy to work with once you start. Thanks, Patti
Otra vez me enamoré ❤
Thank you Claudia.
Are you using clay for the nose or styrofoam?
It's made with styrofoam.
I would really like to buy a big one that you make. Do you have any for sale? 🙏 PLEASE..
Thank you. I don't make them to sell. I wish I had more time to do that. Watch for them, because alot of people are making my pattern to sell.
❤
I love your fluffy animals. Have you ever made a horse? Or a cat?
Thank you so much. I have not made a horse yet, but did make a cat. pattijgood.com/2021/07/13/diy-gnome-cat-how-to-make-a-furry-cat-no-sew-gnome/

Hi Patti! Do you sell these? I would love to buy a couple from you!
I wish I had time to make and sell these. Maybe someday when I retire from my day job. Thanks, Patti
You are a genius! Can you pretty please make a donkey or Burro???? Please??!!!
Thank you Teri, I will definitly add that one to my list. Thanks for the suggestion.
I am no good at making things like this. I wish I could do it. Do you sell these?
I'm sorry, but I don't sell them. You can make this one, just take your time.
Do I need a commercial license to sell this one i bought the big one
You do not, this one is a free to use one for sale. Thanks, Patti
Thank you so much i love everything you do
Can I buy one from you
Sorry Lisa, I don't make but one. I wish I had more time to make a bunch.
