i’m about 45 minutes in and am very pleasantly surprised. this has been a fantastic conversation so far, and i think Lucas would be great, too. you should totally do it 😃
I always love to see Jaxon in the React videos. I've seen many of him at different ages and I just find he's very articulate and level headed in his ways of giving his opinion. Wow! Newer boyband fans are brutal...
People definitely can be brutal. I once expressed that I don't get any emotional connection or a detailed meaning from Harry Styles's music catalogue (not taking away from his talent or anything just don'tfind pop music to be my cup of tea) and I was called tone deaf, dumb, a hater and a terrible person who no one likes
@@Nekogal21 I barely know who Harry Styles is (I'm almost Gen X... So a dinosaur... 😁). But when I was a teen, boy bands could easily be made fun of... People should just listen to what makes them happy and not care about other peoples opinions. Life is too short to be bothered with that.
was so stoked to see Jaxon on here. Jaxon and I are the same age and I’ve been watching the react channel since I was around 11, so I’ve seen him grow and change along with the content of the react channel. thank you are having him on here.
I'm not fully done with the interview yet but I need to say, your Bluey shirt is absolutely amazing! Our generation of parents are so lucky our kids have that show to obsess over, it's so good! I'm super happy to see you have a conversation with Jaxon, he's been one of my favorite react kid, I can't believe he's already 19 ;^^
Glad you had Jaxon on. He’s always been one of my favourite reactors. He seems like a really great kid. Also has fucking immaculate hair. On their conversation about people wanting to know everything about content creators, there’s also the fact that content can be viewed at any times which is also a factor with these people who want to know more about the content creators.
This was a super interesting talk. Especially the "Frame of reference" part when you talked about the evolution of a person's taste of music. I can relate sooo much. One personal example: me, born 1980, have known about the existence of Slipknot since they became famous in the late 90s / very early 2000s. However I decided to ignore them, considering them as a bunch of rioters that just want to be hard and violent for the sake of being hard and violent. It took me until this year, 2023, me being 42, when I by accident stumbled over - guess what - Tanks reaction on the Teens REACT to Slipknot video that actually made me want to really discover Slipknot. What a ride! Thanks a ton to both of you guys!
This was a really fun podcast. It was nice listening to some of Jaxon's insight from his time working on the React channel. It's crazy to think he's been doing it for so long. I think I remember when FineBros first got big. So crazy it's been so long already. Now to see if you can help weasel Electric Callboy onto the react channel, muwahahahahahahaha XDDDD
That was a damn good interview... I had my thoughts on the React channel, and realized thanks to this that it still was influenced by the Fine Bros controversies, but now I am seeing them in a completely different light. So thanks for that Jaxon and Tank!
Thanks for the podcast Tank. Jaxon seems like a smart and likeable youngster. It was entertaining to watch. Keep up the good work. Best wishes from the UK.
This was a somewhat off piste interview, but I'm enjoying it a lot. I don't consider myself a particularly shallow person, but even still it challenged my preconceptions. I don't know what I expected, but he seems so down to earth. It's a very interesting discussion.
This was really fun. Quite interesting seeing the generational trends and where I myself fit, because Tank is a bit older, and Jaxon is a bit younger. It's quite wild how life changed over the past 20 years.
I remember when I was younger I really wanted to make it onto Teens React (although knew it'd never be possible since I wasn't based in the US) and watching those videos religiously! It's interesting to see this discussion and how the react channels all actually work. Also, I was wondering why I didn't really recognise Jaxon despite him being considered one of the longer term ones, before realising that 8 years ago was, in fact, 2015 by which point I'd long stopped watching the React channel (probably watched it from like 2010-2013, I know I stopped watching it before I started Uni end of 2013). Crazy to think they've been going so long! I also wanna say that I am one of the people who had no idea the Fine Bros sold the channel! The last I saw was the whole copyright scandal, so for me I still think of it as Fine Bros because that's just never been decoupled in my head.
I know I'm late to this but this was a really interesting podcast, I was really fascinated to see into both your thoughts on the perspective of being slightly famous and how you deal with that. As someone who isnt famous I was really interested to see how you both thought of your situations and how you 'cope' with it, It was really great to learn about and keep it up the pair of you, I love both your works and thats what drew me to this podcast and I wish you both the best and commend you on getting where you are.
My wife and I who are both older than..... well, let's just say I remember the Beatles breaking up...watch the React channel all the time and play along with the youngsters. This was a great show
I really wish the React channel had more diversity of reacters… because everyone is clearly from California and is west coast…. There’s no one from the South, Midwest or East Coast… so many different perspectives that could be represented… and not just people that were born elsewhere and moved to CA.. because those people have the CA mentality too… need people who still live in their roots…
Most random: we had CD guys hanging out at a supermarket at 8pm on a Tuesday, in a village of 3500 ; they were the type Tank described, hustling to get their band known, but ... a metal band? In that kinda place?!? Very random.

I watched the react/fine bros channel between 2011 and 2016 (something like that) and of course I remember Jaxon To say that the React channel is really popular isn't really true anymore, they have 20 milion subs and only about 100k views on the newer videos (a bunch milion for videos that are 4+ years old tho)
True. I watched around 2015-2018. I only checked it out again after some leave time at my job late last year. I did not realize all the problems the channel had and the exodus of behind the scenes folks, management folks and reactors in 2020. Tho I’m happy for them they seem to be doing better under new management. They may not be as popular as before but they still get consistent views.
One more thing... Im serial commenting lol . I always thought it was wierd when people hassled Michael jackson for covering his kids faces . They made him out to be a wierdo for that and i was like. No you're the weirdo for obssesing over his children
As a person that has lived in both ny and los Angeles (l.a currently) l.a is the better one by farrrrr. Ny york is way to crowded way more dirty. Way more expensive. your apartment might be 2,000 grand a month but at least in l.a you can have a bedroom and your own bathroom you dont have to share with the WHOLE FLOOR. Los angeles is way more manageable when you get into the groove. And people arent as rude. You can surf skateboard and snowboard all in the same day if you wanted. And if you are Business minded you have direct access to the actual MANUFACTUERS of products. NY is a place that plays with the money the rest of the country creates . Which is wall street.
