When exporting still frames in a NLE (like Final Cut/iMovie) you can simply set the project framerate to 12FPS to then only have to "edit on 2s" and not try to animate every frame in the video, without losing quality like with the screenshot method.
Thank you so much for this tutorial, first of all excuse my English, I'm from Bolivia (in south america :)), and I'm starting with mixed media, it's the best tutorial on RUclips, and the keynote templates saved my life, I'm following you! 💯
Hola! 🫶 Thank you so much! And no worries, English isn’t my native language either, so I totally get it! I’m really happy you found the tutorial and the keynote templates helpful. Best of luck with your mixed media journey, and it means a lot to have you following along! ✨💟
i love this video! you should make a video showing all the specific supplies and brands you use in your process and go more in depth with different ways to alter your frames
I'm happy you like it! And thank you so much for the suggestion! I’ll definitely show more details about different editing techniques and art supplies in my next videos
Thank you so much! I’m glad you enjoyed the video! I get a lot of questions about supplies and equipment, so I’m actually thinking about making a video with more details on those. Let me know if there’s anything specific you’d find helpful, I’m always happy to share! ❤🔥
Thanks for this video, I'm working on some rave visuals for an upcoming project and we wanted to do something like this! Such a relief to have some guidance. Thank you!
what about i use capcut, i don't understand if i use adobe because i'm very beginner but it's very interesting for me to learn mixed media animation and can you share some tips for how much we use frame for video if we beginner, sorry if my english bad...thanks
Hey, I don’t use CapCut so honestly I’m not sure how it works, but you don’t have to use Adobe! Just use whatever you have, and go with a video editing program you're already familiar with. As for the number of frames, you can start with about 10 frames to create a short animated GIF. Don’t worry, it might seem tricky at first, but it’ll get easier with time. Good luck, and let me know if you need any help! ☺
I'm so happy to hear that! Right now I'm experimenting a lot with different kinds of paper, but during my first year working on mixed media animations, I only used regular printer paper (the cheapest I could find) and it worked really well!
@@noonglow a side note for printing and not sure if someone already mentioned this but you can make a pdf out of all your stills and when you go to print you can select multiples and choose how many you want on the page etc. So you don’t have to do it by hand.
@@Iamjaninakarla Hi, and welcome on board! 🤩 finding people who share the same passion really motivates me to keep posting these videos online! Here I used matte photo paper, but I use different kinds of paper, often just regular printer paper.
it also depends on the number of frames per second, if you decide your animation will be 10fps, then for every second of video, there will be 10 frames (which is two and a half sheets of paper)
Simple yet brilliant. Thanks very much 🙏🏻
I’m happy to hear that ☺️ thanks for the comment!

to make a video that long how many pieces of paper do you need if you have four frames on each paper ?
it also depends on the number of frames per second, if you decide your animation will be 10fps, then for every second of video, there will be 10 frames (which is two and a half sheets of paper)
