The player at 0:42, Jong Tae se, was crying because he was able to play for his country despite the fact that he lives in Japan. He is extremely proud of his country and even if you are against North Korea, you gotta respect that man...

Despite being ranked 110th at the time of this tournament, and Brazil being ranked 1st, North Korea lost but only with a score of 2 - 1. They played so well, with heart and determination! And because of that they managed to get a goal. Ji Yun Nam was the scorer, and the guy crying is Jong Tae-Se!

The player who cried is a North/South Korean mix blood who was born in Japan and educated in the one and only Korean speaking school in Japan (which is North Korean school). He had the right to earn a prestigious citizenship of south korea or japan. He, however, chose North Korea, which no one would have done, in recognition of the love he received in his school. A true patriot he is. So everyone despising him, shut the f up

    • @seunghyunkang8012

During his interview, Jong said he doesn't have any feeling of people suffering in North Korea because everyone may have its own life. As raised in Japan, he could surely know about the reality of his homeland. His decision to represent North Korea should not be blamed, but I think his attitude was not that good.

Guys, he is South Korean, living in Japan, playing in North Korean team. He is crying because he had a very hard time. He wanted to be in North Korean team, but because he was South Korean and living in Japan, he had many mentally hard problems with his soccer teammates. And after all those problems, he is standing in the World cup playing in North Korean team. That is what makes him cry.

But instead of people not judging him for being a south korean living in japan and putting him in a north korean team, he was kicked out because he was a south korean living in japan and not worthy of joining the north korean team so he went back to his normal life being a south korean living in japan and not being in the north korean team. If you read into this player life story you'll find out that despite him being north korean he was raised in japan and because of that it was very hard for him to obtain the permission by the north korean government to represent his country. I believe if you add that to the emotion of debuting in the biggest sports event in the world that probably explains why he was so emotional : )

It is rude to show such disrespect to a countries national anthem, no matter what the country is. I do not like the actions of the north korean government, but a national anthem and a flag of a country doesn't represent the current government of that country, but that country in general regardless of its current ruler. Because of this, insulting a countries anthem means insulting its people, not just its ruler. You should never insult a countries flag or anthem like this ,even when you are at war with them.

First of all, I like their national anthem. Second of all, for those who have made fun of this should be ashamed of themselves... 0:40 here is a guy who is showing love for his country. Also, as far as the whole fans is concerned, you should be ashamed these are people who are lucky to even get out of their country for an event like this without being caught. You should be happy for those who made it because believe me, there would be no one because of the strict rules. Are they vicious, yes (government wise) are they radical yes t at the end of the day no matter what the leaders believe, that does not mean that everybody living in the country supports their philosophy. And also, bring back the vuvuzela great culture taken away
