Well, don't know why but I used to receive Croatian TV for a long time, and it was like that. They had images of various places along with the radio broadcast and then it started with the anthem. Creates a sense of community and honestly I'd like much more to see something similar than news and pointless debates on Italian TV. I'm south korean but I like north korean anthem more. Ironically its lyrics are ideology-free, and constructive. I heard from north korean refugee that songs of each of Kim family are sung more often than north korean anthem. I’ve switched to 144p for full north korean experience, but i don’t know why their faces are still bright and clear.
It operates on weekdays (normal days) from 3PM to 10:30PM and weekends and holidays from 9AM to 10:30PM

Why the North Korean TV Start on Afternoon?
maybe the NKoreans dont watch TV earlier because they are at work/school, so why wasting energy for a broadcast which nobody watch. At the weekends and holidays the broadcast begins at 9:00.
