Now that I can grow a fairly decent beard; beards have become an increasing fascination for me. Yet they always were; as was body hair. I couldn't wait to see if I'd become the man I wanted to be; hairy. But not too much so. Wishing to be, seemed be the difference; I'm the hairiest in the family. I doubt if my Dad or brothers have any envy; I just wanted to be. I'd be jealous Greg were a nuclear scientist, astronomer, or geologist; and that handsome. To have looks and a mind, much better. Yet, I can admire a great beard on another, and I do not hesitate to say so. 95% of the men I compliment seem appreciative, as do I. However, sometimes I wonder if if you shaved on a regular basis, would a heavy beard be so desirable? I'll admit I am envious of his overall look. Ah, to be 30 again and look he must have at 30. - Steven Indianapolis.
It's ironic that many men with the best hairlines & beards don't seem to have any other body hair. That must be a trade off. Still a handsome man. Steven Pettinga.
Thanks for the feature Greg! First time growing it out for more than a month and I did not expect my beard to come in so wavy/curly - particularly under the chin. Barbers have been closed for 3 months here in the UK, can't wait for a decent trim in a couple of weeks.
It's my first time growing a beard! Been about 6 months! Hoping for the best. Watching your videos really give me that spirit to grow one! Thanks Greg!🤘
I had a beard going for somewhere around 9 months and shaved it off completely. It was kinda nice for the first couple of weeks, but didn't take long to regret my decision. lol I'm about a month into growing it back out and excited to let it get to the yeard mark. The 2 times I've let my beard go I only got to the 8 or 9 month mark. Wish me luck on attempt numero tres.
Great content Greg. It’s nice to see others just for comparison and appreciate what I have going on. I just had my first beard (ever) cut by Bob @ Beardbrand in Austin last week. My beard at 53 was not started because of quarantine but to see what I am able to grow. Encouragement and solid information on RUclips from the Beardbrand family kept me in the game. My wife of 24 years does not want me to go back to clean shaven, she loves my facial hair. I look forward to styling and keeping my beard as it matures in the future. Keep growing, 7Fingers form Colorado
it sure is a thick beard, altough it is also trimmed, can make a night and day difference and thickness illusion to line up the cheeks and shape up the bottom
Been growing my beard for 3 months now doing a whole year of growth, my moustache is unfortunately a lot weaker then the rest of my beard, I’m hoping it’ll get thicker as the rest of the years goes on
I'm currently working on growing the yeard. I shaved New Years Eve morning, and completed the first 3 months of 2021. Now working on my 4th month. I've been letting my mustache grow out more than I've ever let it, not my strongest area to grow buy excited to see where it goes.
I was going strong at the start of this year. Made it to 7 weeks before I wussed out. It was just still too thin. However I did note that my moustache was really solid. Regrettably I shaved it too. I'm now in the process of regrowing specifically for the stache, but I'm noticing the rest is looking a lot thicker this time around. Its weird. I'm 35 and my beard has gotten considerably more thick in just the last 3 years, after always previously having very sparse facial hair. So don't give up, all you young smoothies! Beards are sometimes really late to the party!
I'm 32, at a year now and the beard is about 7 inches long. First time I've let it go more than 6 months or so. No trims, no real styling, just combing/brushing/washing/balm/oil. Over the past few weeks, I've noticed some shedding, but the only other guy in my entire extended family who can grow a beard says he goes through 2 (sometimes 3) noticeable shed cycles when he grows a multi-year beard, so I'm going to let it go for 2021 and hope that, like my uncle, I can get at least a foot out of this thing. I mean, I live in the mountains, many thousands of feet above sea level... if I can't grow a footlong beard, I probably don't belong.
Thank you so much for sharing these awesome beards. Growing them was a great way to pass the time due to the quarantine. It certainly fits the situation to call them; " Corona Beards" ! I look forward to more video's like this. Have a Blessed Day.😇 😇
Hello from Italy, I have always had a goatee or a short beard. But seeing the various challenges I started to make it grow, albeit late. now it is 3 months that it is growing, we will see this summer and then in December how it will be
The only thing growing on me is my nose hair. The more i pick them, Faster they grow. After this video i will stop shave and give it a try i come back here in 2022-11-24

This is literally me I just cut it into a goatee but I have hope that it will get better and I should be able to grow a full beard once I get older God’s willing
Was always clean shaven, haven't shaved in 53 weeks now, problem I have is my toast with honey on for breakfast.... moustache gets very sticky, maybe need to change my diet..!!.. lol
i was a little late to the corona beard party so still need to wait a bit longer then a month for my year party. but it realy has change me before i never though about wanting a beard and now i dont think i will ever shave it haha
Nice - congrats in advance on completing the year-long journey. You're about to be in good company with others who have also crossed the finish line. Keep on Growing. 🤠 -Sly
I actually had been growing my beard a little over a year when Covid started. In early March of 2020 I decide to trim quite a bit off just for change in my look. Then in June I had one of those "What the hell!" moments and shaved of everything except a small goatee and started over. Been growing ever since with only light trimming on the sides to maintain the shape that I prefer.
I wasn’t able to grow a beard until I was 25. And even then it was patchy in spots. Every since I was 25 I’ve consistently kept a beard of some sort. And now at 29 it still refuses to grow in some spots. Like my beard will not grow all the way up to my bottom lip. It’s nice and full every except around the soul patch area so my mustache doesn’t connect and grow together. So I’ve gotta grow a big long mustache to camouflage it to cover up that spot lol. It’s annoying but I make it work with some balm and control. Kindve how the dudes beard at the 11:30 mark is. Grows all in except for that little spot on each side of the soul patch area on the bottom lip! It refuses to grow in there!
My photo is a current photo. I am 45 and have been growing it for about 3 years😟😟. Didn't do any research on proper care until about 2 moths ago. I drive truck and have been wearing masks that did damage to my jaw line of my beard. Trying to repair said damage so I can have a magnificent beard like these men in this video. Any advice would be wonderful. Oh I have started using beard oil, balm and stopped using shampoo and conditioner.

I’m 18 with a few patches here and there....that’s perfectly normal right?

Having patches at 18 is so normal it’s almost weird if you don’t have any patches
