  • Scams are rampant on Discord and typically most people just report it to Discord and nothing happens. Well today I was sick and tired of waiting and I decided to take matters into my own hands by ruining a Roblox scam that was on Discord. Trolling Discord scammers is honestly my favorite pastime and I finally get a nice opportunity to show it to yall.

    You would also want to check who their hosting provider is, and send them the IP address behind the domain (in case it's been terminated before they get to look into it). Most providers will happily terminate phishing scams as well.

We were about to take it into our own hands, and thankfully you stepped in. You are a blessing in disguise, as we have no way of removing the discord from the group, and had no way to make an announcement either. I dont think the dumbasses replying to me understood what I said, but if they are a moderator for the game, they most likely have permissions for the group settings. And even if they didnt, if they are a moderator it is likely someone with a higher rank than them wouldnt have ignored them for such a long time.
      If they really were a moderator, why wouldnt they have stepped into discords shit support team, or just out of their way to remove a link from a roblox group? I play roblox, and its as simple as clicking a button to change the link, just make sure you updated it successfully…

    And I am an adult ffs.
    The truth is my mail was hacked about 2 weeks ago so now when I see a massage like this my brain turns off. I couldn't see how ridiculous it was and now I'm just waiting for real steam support to reply. I don't have any skins or stuff you can sell/trade in any games, so that's good.

    • @neoqwerty
      @neoqwerty Год назад +5

      This is why you remember that actual staff at ANY level will not ask you for your account password OR ask you to screenshare sensitive information.
      Only scammers do that, and there's a reason Discord itself tells you not to show others any pages with sensitive info.
      Also, logically, how would the reset password code prove that it's your account? It's literally the first thing you'd change if you got into someone else's account so THEY can't get back in and kick you out.
