I got that exact same make and model for my folks last November. They love it, no gas, no spark plugs, no oil, no air filter, to tire pressure. Just throw in the battery and press the on button. I also bought them the 18" chainsaw, pole saw, blower, and weed eater. I have the 18" chainsaw, weed eater, and blower, and will get the 42" zero turn to cut our yards and help to trim 9 acres and use a John Deere tractor to cut the main grass on the 9 acres. Love my Egos.
That looks very similar to my EGO pushmower that I bought 6 years ago. Functionally the same, but slightly different design style. Think was $600 at the time. Still going. Cuts thru tall grass. The battery is holding power less, but I just recharge & take a break. Love that mower! Battery is half the price of the mower, btw. I have used this mower to push mow over an acre. Get in my walking exercise. Going outside to mow some right now. If anything like my 6 year old mower... the highly recommend. Get one!
Commenting on this video a year later. The mower I just got, which is the one that has been the hardest to find for months has been the regular LM2114. The regular push mower, not the SP version. At least where I live, the non-push mower is the model most people want as you could never find it anywhere. For small flat yards like most people have where I live, people don't need a self-propelled model.
I have a few Ego products and I think they are great. But using the word "budget and $500" seems a bit silly. I fully realize you need about $500 bucks to get into Ego's bottom tier product, but for most people, a "budget" lawn mower isn't $500..... All this ridiculous inflation has really messed up peoples comcepts of what's affordable and what's not.....
Ryobi makes some decent battery power budget lawn mowers for around 350 dollars. Consumer reports rates them as Good. The only cons I seen with them is that if you need warranty work most centers are busy and far away. The closest location to me is 2 hours away and I live in a metro with over a million people. Ego has multiple repair centers. Overall based on this I would recommend ego. Ego is also recommended by consumer reports.
it's not about cheap or expensive or who can afford or who can't. It's about calling 500$ a budget price when that is not a budget price in any sense. Stop normalising these prices.
So, does this mower, with it's single blade, do a good job of mulching the grass? I never bag grass anymore and I'm debating whether to get this mower or the "Select Cut " model that has two blades on it for mulching. Also, I have a large yard and don't know if a single charge will allow me to mow it in its entirety on one charge. I do set the cutting height higher than normal so that should use less power. Do you think the 6 ft-lbs of torque is enough torque to cut through 6 to 10 inch tall grass? Thanks for your video and answers!
I have the EGO model just above this one and it is GREAT. It does a great job and it is super quiet too! I highly recommend all of their products. I also have their blower(530 model) and line trimmer which automatically lets the line out and will also load the line with a single button, and you don’t have to constantly bump it to let more line out!
I just bought one of those trimmers. Still in the box. I have a 6 year old EGO mower that is basically same as one in this video except slightly different design. Same functionality. I love it! Battery after 6 years is a weaker though, but outlasted what expected. Still works, but just needs recharging sooner. Now I have the smaller battery from the trimmer can use too.
nice; i just got a used lm2100 and it still performs well; used market for these are a good option since i dont notice much of a cut quality but of course it varies on what people have for yards
Love my push Ego lawn mower that is still running really well from when I bought it back in 2017! Question: Will my Ego lawn mower batteries (not self-propelled) work on the self-propelled Ego lawn mower in this video? I'm thinking of getting the self-propelled Ego lawn mower! Thanks
Looks like this mower has a more comfortable handle than my Select Cut 21”. Both me and my wife find the thickness of the handle too thick and it tires your hand out just holding the mower. It’s a shame because my wife actually like mowing the lawn and now doesn’t mow at all!!! Cheers, John
There are so many Ego string trimmers to choosr from. Not including the multi-head kit or whatever. By chance can you please compare the string trimmer options. They all look the same to me.
I've used the greenworks plug in one for like 10-11 years on a small grass only 600 square ft. Works like the day I bought it 2 years used off Craigslist for 40 bucks. Kinda doubtful these batteries will last very long surely won't last 13 plus and going years Ike my corded.
Lol what's the reality you live in where 500 dollars is a low budget value mower for a push mower. I can go buy a brand new Honda lawnmower for 350 that will blow that thing out of the water lol
honda is also going to stop producing gas mowers over the next couple of months. I'm not sure if they will still have electrics but it doesn't sound like it
Headlights on a mower is the dumbest thing ever. How blind are people that they need crappy headlights at dusk...not to mention they waste significant battery power.

Wow - you are all in my buddy :)
And can you use the mower battery for all those tools or do they require a smaller battery? Thanks!
@@neinkeneinke All of Ego's batteries work in ALL of their products. Ego ONLY has 56v batteries and they fit in the smallest and biggest tools.

If you want a cheap lawnmower then buy gas, scrub.

@@asht7899 So if it was a video about budget new cars would you complain because $20k is a lot of money? Context is important, stupid ass.

No bad for the $$. How does the lever drive compare with the touch drive?
The touch drive is a bit easier at first but you get used to operating both

Nice mower, nice cut, nice video.
Thank you sir
Great review, thanks for putting this together.
Glad it was helpful!
Can you rinse bottom off with water ? Or is that its downfall? Have you tried it on the lowest 2 setting heard they are very bad at cutting low.
can be done - but be careful
@@Kitearmy do they have any kind of water 💦 proof rating?
Hey will it run off a 4.0 amp battery ?
@@dunnoyolo2238 yes - even the 2.5.

I wanted to hear about the mulching blade.
Great price for a mower with a 6.0 battery! Nice work!
Thanks mate
I just purchased this model. Thanks for doing video 👍

Which charger does it come with
Good point - forgot to include that - I believe it is the standard standing charger
Ego has like over 7 different string trimmers. Can you do a comparison video? 1502sa, 1511t, 1521s, 1523s, 1623t, 1534

epic video!!!

Are these mowers made in America, or somewhere else?
Just got mine today. But of course it’s raining. 😢
$500 is way to much to pay for a mower No thanks
That’s actually a good price for that mower.
considering all of it's features it is a great deal
Completely agree, this is the best fit for all but the pickiest of homeowners.
amen brotha
The Cobalt mower is a mich better budget mover onsale at Lowes. Best battery mower would be the Milwaukee hands down.
I have tested over 50 battery mowers - in the end it is my opinion but my opinion is based on experience
To ma być tania budżetowa kosiarka. Serio !!!!!
6AH? you mean 7.5 never seen a 6 for sale
They have added a few more sizes - def a 6ah
lol. pretty sure EGo is the most expensive of the consumer electric mowers. it costs more than electric Ryobi, Stihl, Toro, etc
Cheapest aint always the best
Don't buy if you care about a company supporting its products. The Warranty is void if you are not the original purchaser
How is $500 budget friendly lol? Lemme see 1-200$
I guess you could find a cheaper chinese model - but his one gives lots of bang for your buck
Lost me at $500
Are you sponsored by EGO?
That's not a budget price,unless you're a millionaire 😂
Not sure I agree. Ryobi can do it for 150$ with battery. LOL
Sure there are cheaper - but this is about value
