In the in the beast wars lore , the maximals are descendants of the autobots and the bad guys in this movie are descendants of the Deceptions . So I think there’s time travel involved in this movie .
I can see megatron as this character showing up slowly more and more in every movie soon to come as hes basicly some endgame character like thanos from marvel which would give him a much more interesting and mysterious part in the story which would fit megatron as a character greatly
And not only endgame, he can be in for the long run. Even after he comes in and the aytobots defeat him somehow he can return and be villain and sometimes ally in many stories to come
I really hope this new universe sets up megatron to be a big bad like Vader or Thanos. Megatron deserves to be there, im good with him not being there very much. And the reason why we might not see them on Earth (referring to the Decepticons) is because they don’t know where the Autobots are hiding. Just an idea

But that doesn’t mean they aren’t going to be in the 2nd or 3rd part of the trilogy. Remember, Rise of the beasts is the first entry of a trilogy. So the Decepticons and Predacons will have their moment to shine and if anything they might be mentioned and shown as a flashback in rise of the beasts

I definitely don’t doubt that in some capacity, at the very least a name drop, Megatron will be alluded to here and that he’ll be set up for the villain for the sequel

I'm begin to wonder if we will really the Decepticons and the Predacons in the movie. I hope so because it will be disappointing if they introduce the maximals without the Predacons. I really want to see Beast wars Megatron and Dinobot. That could be funny too if they put Waspinator in the movie, it will be so funny, but I dont think it will happen, at least not in the first one.
I don't think the studio has given a clear, official answer on whether Bumblebee is a reboot or prequel. Despite design changes, some of the stuff in bumblebee still line up with the 2007 film such as sector 7 with the cube logo, agent Simmons, and the fact that Bee transforms into a 77 Camaro. The bay films always contradicted each other when it came to continuity, so I feel like ROTB will be a prequel to 2007. Megs is most likely in the ice.

I have a feeling that this an alternate universe of the Bayverse but TLK and AOE's events never happened. I know it's a reboot, but it's quite possible if this is an alternate universe. Hasbro confirmed the new films are a reboot back in 2019. Unfortunately the hack producer lorenzo de bonaventura continues to deny it and tries so hard to convince us it’s still in the bayverse. It’s entirely possible that he’s not letting film makers use megatron because he’s supposedly still frozen in ice. I can’t think of any other reason why megatron is missing in these new films

Earthspark gets a free pass because of how he's still present, but they're using him totally differently. But ever since RiD'15 we've seen less and less Megatron acting as the big baddie, and even some where he's just not around at all.

Im the only one that think that this movie should open for two trilogies, so hear me out, long ago lorenzo say he wanted to build a transformer universe like how marvel build his universe, so why not begin with rise of the beast, like thanks to this movie they can build two other trilogies, one with teh beast wars characters and one with the autobots and decepticons, also they can still do some spin off movies or animated prequels movies, and then, like infinity war and endgame, they can do the last two movies with unicron as enemy

I never G1 Megatron. The toy was cool. But the character never wowed me. I prefer the newer versions like Prime and Animated. Also, the Scourge in this movie is based on RID Scourge. Additionally, I'm not entirely sure this is a full reboot.
The Decepticons and Predacons are not really needed in this movie. The Terracons and Maximals & Autobots are enough for this movie, there’s no need to make this movie unnecessarily complicated just because fans want to see some characters that aren’t really needed to the story.
Cant remember who, probably Travis Knight during the Bumblebee run, has said thatthey didnt use Megatron as he's on ice at S7. So, as much as we all WANT this to be a proper reboot, its the softest of soft reboots of all reboots.
It was originally designed as a prequel, but due to the failure of the last knight, it was changed into a reboot. That's the reason why Optimus and most of the other transformers look G1, while shatter and dropkick are more bayverse like.

As good as Bumblebee was, and as great as it was to see that cybertron scene (you know Knight was a fan as little details were spot on - Wheeljack & Bumblebee being the first transformers you see, mirroring the original G1 pilot), I fear they've already messed ROTB up by screwing around with Wheeljack. @@thelatman9397 actually travis said that because when he started to make this movie he was forced to make it more accurate to the others movies because it was meant to be a prequel, so thats is why there was the sector 7 with cars that can hunt transformers, or blitzwing, who was already on earth (since in tf5 they said that autobots and decepticons where on earth for a long time), or the iced megatron, but later on they tried to make more like a reboot, but they couldnt just delete what they already done amd make another one, so this just create some plot hole like why blitzwing was already on earth, or why sector 7 have cars for hunt down transformers, but travis decided to delete the majorty or bayverse elements in the movie like the original villain (barricade), original cameo character (hot road), and the original final scene with iced megatron, and they add all the cybertron scenes and the final scene with optimus and bee, so when they were making this movie, they were making it as a prequel, it was later on before they where going all the way with making the movie that hasbro and paramount change ideo from prequel to reboot, forcing travis to making some adds, changes and cuts

Considering all the changes in the movies, like how Optimus in the new movie is as big as Bumblebee in the old ones, I think this is a new universe.

It's not a reboot, and it's been affirmed multiple times that it's a prequel, and most recently by Collider's interview with the lead producer again outright saying this film exists in continuity with the Bay films. I have a feeling that this an alternate universe of the Bayverse but TLK and AOE's events never happened. I know it's a reboot, but it's quite possible if this is an alternate universe. Megatron could be dead and if DOTM's events unfolded like they did, But alot of them could've either survived or it's just a reboot and my Theory is wrong.

Hasbro confirmed the new films are a reboot back in 2019. Unfortunately the hack producer lorenzo de bonaventura continues to deny it and tries so hard to convince us it’s still in the bayverse. It’s entirely possible that he’s not letting film makers use megatron because he’s supposedly still frozen in ice. I can’t think of any other reason why megatron is missing in these new films

Im the only one that think that this movie should open for two trilogies, so hear me out, long ago lorenzo say he wanted to build a transformer universe like how marvel build his universe, so why not begin with rise of the beast, like thanks to this movie they can build two other trilogies, one with teh beast wars characters and one with the autobots and decepticons, also they can still do some spin off movies or animated prequels movies, and then, like infinity war and endgame, they can do the last two movies with unicron as enemy
I feel like they would’ve done something similar to that if bumblebee was more of a success, though from the amount of views for the rotb trailer, it’ll likely be a success which’ll hopefully lead to something similar to your idea

Cant remember who, probably Travis Knight during the Bumblebee run, has said thatthey didnt use Megatron as he's on ice at S7. So, as much as we all WANT this to be a proper reboot, its the softest of soft reboots of all reboots.
It was originally designed as a prequel, but due to the failure of the last knight, it was changed into a reboot. That's the reason why Optimus and most of the other transformers look G1, while shatter and dropkick are more bayverse like.
@@kade-qt1zu Like I said, its a soft reboot. They've already stated they couldnt use Megatron due to him being on ice. It being a hard reboot is wishful thinking on the part of the fans (such as me - the bayverse started OK, but got worse as time went on).
As good as Bumblebee was, and as great as it was to see that cybertron scene (you know Knight was a fan as little details were spot on - Wheeljack & Bumblebee being the first transformers you see, mirroring the original G1 pilot), I fear they've already messed ROTB up by screwing around with Wheeljack. If they cant even keep their new time line consistent, what chance do they have.
@@thelatman9397 actually travis said that because when he started to make this movie he was forced to make it more accurate to the others movies because it was meant to be a prequel, so thats is why there was the sector 7 with cars that can hunt transformers, or blitzwing, who was already on earth (since in tf5 they said that autobots and decepticons where on earth for a long time), or the iced megatron, but later on they tried to make more like a reboot, but they couldnt just delete what they already done amd make another one, so this just create some plot hole like why blitzwing was already on earth, or why sector 7 have cars for hunt down transformers, but travis decided to delete the majorty or bayverse elements in the movie like the original villain (barricade), original cameo character (hot road), and the original final scene with iced megatron, and they add all the cybertron scenes and the final scene with optimus and bee, so when they were making this movie, they were making it as a prequel, it was later on before they where going all the way with making the movie that hasbro and paramount change ideo from prequel to reboot, forcing travis to making some adds, changes and cuts

To be honest, I never understood why Megatron kept Starscream as his second in command rather then Soundwave or Sixshot.
In G1 marvel comics Shockwave is the decepticon leader for a large part of its run. I’m with you on it should be Starscream. But shockwave is also a fair candidate based on previous media.
