Idc how good of a comeback we have made in some BIG games.. it doesn’t matter when you can’t handle an unranked team and your losses are approaching your wins. Athletic Director better hope our football team starts to tighten up, that’s all I’m gonna say.

They killed us in football up there, last November. Their winless basketball team was leading us at halftime a couple months back … I don’t know. It’s just tough to win there. It all ebbs & flows. I predict that Florida will have a solid response to this, and this s&&&ty weekend for you guys will end up just being a blip on the radar screen. PS: We swept Ole Miss AT Ole Miss 2 years ago. And they ended up as National Champions, and we got upset in our SuperRegional, so there’s that.

Gator hitters strike out like they're using whiffle ball bats. An alarming rate that is on course to set records -- averaging around 10 Ks per game. That's one third of the game where the damn ball doesn't even make it into play. Hitting is a learned skill yet the Gators flail away like every AB is all or nothing. Usually it is. When the No 9 hole hitter drives in 7 runs like the Tenn catcher did today, that's production. I blame the coaches. You can teach discipline at the plate. Too many Ks with the bases loaded. Very few walks. No running game. This Gator team is a hot mess. In his 17 seasons at UF, Kevin O'Sullivan has had only one losing record. . the 2013 team that lost their last game of the season in the regionals ending up one game under .500. The previous year that 2012 loaded team was runner up to South Carolina at CWS. O'Sullivan reloaded and went right back to Omaha four straight, finally winning it all in 2017. Of course last years team finished second to LSU. Fla has failed to utilize the portal like teams around them. Last year Hurston Waldrep was a main cog in the rotation. He came from the portal. This Fla team has no portal pitchers. Freshman arms take time to gain experience. Missori's field is the worst in the SEC. Usually their teams are average at best. This years team is abysmal and yet, they swept the Gators for the first time in their SEC history. Every game by one run. They earned it. You can expect a drop off after great seasons. Neither Miss or Miss State made it to Hoover afterr winning CWS championships much less the Dance. Both Fla and LSU lost major talent from last year and it shows. That's the SEC. While the Gators are reeling now, Kevin O'Sullivan will right the ship but he MUST get those windmillers at the plate to cut down on strike outs and put the ball into play. Caglione can't carry them by himself. Don't count on a Kevin O'Sullivan team to roll over. The SEC is a grinder. This is what makes it great.

We are still below .500 but I hope we have a taste of success now and keep it up. We almost won the Kentucky series, and kept it competitive with Vandy even though they swept us. So I’m hopeful we can turn the season around and be a solid team.

@@AntonEberhart they are just a very young team starting to figure it out, I look forward to the next few seasons as we begin to build. If I remember correctly, out of the usual starting 9, only 3 players are upper class(jr-Gr.)
Jac Caglione's velocity is down quite a bit this year. He was consistently 95-98mph last year, and even touched 99mph - 100mph in the regionals , super regionals, and World Series. He is throwing way more sliders and change ups this year, because his fastball rarely sees anything above 94mph. Walks are up, hits per 9 are up, and the Guy seems to be doing everything he can to lead his team into battle this weekend. Question: Is Florida relying too heavy on Big Jac, and risking an arm injury, because they have no depth in the bullpen?
