      But keep your money in your pockets. This is all about money and an easy way for some people to relieve you of yours. Don't be naive. Go back and look at all of the videos being reacted on in the beginning and notice all of the reactors said the exact same words to the exact same videos. Every one. For the most part I didn't care as long as we're all having fun and interacting with each other. But its getting harder for some of them to play act and hide their true feelings. Quit being blind, deaf and dumb to whats been happening for a long time. And for God's sake, keep your money in your pockets.

    • @NotBenCoultry
      @NotBenCoultry 3 года назад

      @@Looneyintheboonies ALL of youtube is a business and we know, it's not a conspiracy. As far as the same things being said in reaction to music, that's how you know the message was effectively sung and played. That your listeners and fans (as a musician) get it.
      Put the same set of lyrics in front of ten ppl and 7 will get the same message.

    • @Looneyintheboonies
      @Looneyintheboonies 3 года назад

      @@NotBenCoultry The exact same words I'm referring to are, "I don't mean to sound racist.. this isn't a racist thing... but I thought they were black. If I hadn't seen it with my own eyes, no way... I would have never guessed they weren't black." This was said to the Bee Gees, the Righteous Brothers... by one reactor after another. I'm positive that wasn't the message in the song. And no race has a corner on the market for having a soul and singing with it. I think some reactors are sincere and are genuinely interested in exchanging music and knowledge of each other. But I watched one of the LFR reactors listening to Freebird and saying way to quick "I hear 3 guitars, yes I hear 3 guitars" in the beginning part when only the slide is being played. It was so phony, and he never made another comment except when he thought it was over and he could not hide his boredom or disdain. He was completely fake and I hope no one actually paid him money to do that. Now, I love little Jojo, he is adorable. But I'm not convinced he's not pulling our leg either, but he's not mean spirited, he's precious. This other guy couldn't hide his disdain though. I've seen others like that too. I really like Jamel a.k.a. Jamal. He's honest, I believe. And nice. But I'm not wearing blinders to how this started out.

    Lynyrd Skynrd is from the seventies. An era of guitar bands and musicians who could actually play instruments and compose musical notes. Write lyrics with hooks, bridges, and choruses. That's the formula.

      Actually the percussionist playing the Congos was a Black girl from Detroit named Bobbye Hall.
      She had quite the career providing backup percussion for some of the biggest bands in the 70's!
      (The reason I mentioned that she was Black is to try to show that Skynyrd wasn't a "racist" band like a few critics tried to label them).

    If the drummer Bob Burns played congas ,it was overdubbed track recorded but he did not play congas ..I met the drummers son that worked in a Denny's in Jacksonville Florida ..The congas player was Bobbye Bobby Jean Hall who was born in Detroit, Michigan, and began her career there playing percussion in nightclubs while still in her teens. While playing at the 20 Grand nightclub in 1961 she was approached by Motown arranger Paul Riser to play on a recording session.[

    The cowbell player is the drummer as well, so the cowbell is located to the left of the snare drum. There is a separate Congo player in the background. The current drummer is Michael Cartellone. The original drummer for this song was Bob Burns, who passed away in 2015.

    They used to play a little joint on the west end of Jacksonville called The Still that had a dance floor. ("Cutting the rug at a place called The Jug) If you were stage right, it was exactly 3 running steps to the door. The son of the teacher they named the band after bought the place in the 80's and now it's a strip club called Leonard Skinner's.
