This video makes me happy and makes me cry. So beautiful with the movie. Now they both have crossed over and the ending like ghosts fadeing away. This is the most beautiful song Joan ever did and I love it.
Very glad to hear. It's the only Joan Baez song i really know, i've dug this old song out from my memory of my Woodstock2 cassette and put it on my Greatest Songs of All Time list on rateyourmusic. A classic. We do indeed cross over, I worry for those who, for example, perhaps in their hearts loved money more than people.. and stuff like that. But my great hope is that those of us who really do our best to devote our lives to Love will, though none of us are perfect, be ok, and our sins remembered no more. Hippie blessings to all.
Hello, my twin sister and I spent many days up at Struggle Mountain with Joannie and Jeffrey In Palo Alto, California. Actually, our father introduced us to Joannie and we had the great pleasure of spending Christmas Day with her at her home in 1968 with only a handful of people present as she serenaded us! It was a different time, a different energy and I am glad to have been alive to experience such change in the world. Natasha
I loved this so much when I was young. I never was so lucky to find such a love. The vid is so beautiful, what a tender time in all that political entanglements in the Sixties. Sleep well, Mimi.
Nuch thanks to the poster for this. Great song & marvellous voice as always - one of my favourite Joan songs. Wonderful to see some footage of beautiful Mimi. Gone too soon Mimi, Richard, & Milan too. RIP & Thank You.
Wow, beautiful gorgeous Mimi, gotta love her! I watched this vid a thousand times and it's now I realice about the guy behind Joan at the beginning wearing the USA flag tee shirt!!!
ssam00, where are you commenting from? YES, i was VERY fortunate to be a part of that time and that energy with Joannie....it was a special time for all mankind.....Natasha from Las Vegas
Joan is to folk music as classic music is Brahms and Tchaikovsky and phyics is to Einstien and Beckham is to sport. Tina Turner said it all "Simply the Best"
Tried to write anything that makes this video justice, but it's pointless. She looks so happy I become all warm on the inside. It's love in it's truest and most beautiful form.
She didn't have to have a logical reason, she just always was jealous, hateful and bitter towards: Baez, Judy Collins, Laura Nyro, Janis Joplin, Carly Simon, Sylvia Plath etc etc etc........

“A few moments of pain, a few moments on the wind, and another woman shall bear me.” K. Gibran
One of the most quintessentially '60s clips ever.

Awesome song!!!
Beautiful performance and video.
that video has got to be one of the most beautiful of both joan and mimi!!
Mimi obviously blissfully happy- just as she deserved!!
Breath-taking.
(I think the shot of Mimi dancing on that platform above the ocean was done at Nepenthe...a holy place then, and maybe still)
I literally just got goosebumps on my legs when i heard her voice. Joan Baez is the best singer i swear
I am coming from Waterloo, Canada. Have been a huge fan of Dylan and Joan Baez.
SO beautiful
oh wow... this is a rare find. thank you so much for posting this!!!!
Sorry....meant 'Much thanks'.
This video is a great find.
If anyone has any other footage of Mimi & Richard - or Milan - it would be great to see it.

What Gorgeous and Moving means.

lucky you!
what i mean is that joni was ten times more talented than most of those women and she'd never have reason to be jealous.
Great song, but it appears to be either out of sync or audio from another recording.
I like but where's the woodstock '69 version? like that best! anyone know?
yeah, like she really has reason to be jealous.
She didn't have to have a logical reason, she just always was jealous, hateful and bitter towards:
Baez, Judy Collins, Laura Nyro, Janis Joplin, Carly Simon, Sylvia Plath etc etc etc........
IL VIDEO E' FUORI SINCRONO: SI PREGA DI CORREGGERLO.
MOVIMENTO DELLE LABBRA E PAROLE DELLA CANZONE NON VANNO ATEMPO!
Her poetry was lousy?????? No Way
@zamusicza That's because she has short hair. When she lets it grow out, she looks like a man.
