Please pray for me. I deliberately rejected Christ for so long, almost a year. I was a professing Christian, and I walked away with the intention to get saved later, and to just enjoy sin for a little while. I was an apostate and now I am scared I might commit the unforgivable sin. My issue is that I don't want to surrender my sin. I know I can't do it without God but I dont want God. I wish I wanted God, but I'm not sure if that feeling is genuine or not. I still love sin and I wish I didnt love my sin, I'm not sure if this feeling is sincere or genuine. I've been praying for God to make me hate my sin, but I'm not sure if those prayers are sincere or genuine. Please pray that my desire for salvation becomes genuine and sincere and that God saves me.

You really have to make a choice with your will (not your feelings). Do you want God & salvation, or do you want sin? And then throw yourself at God with all your heart, mind & soul, seek his presence. And ask Him to help you turn away from sin.

Hope you're doing okay! In your story I really read a genuine desire for doing the right thing (while struggling with a desire for sin as well). But at least you are honest about it. I hope you're running towards God! It's really a very serious choice, a choice between life or death. Choosing Him might cost you something but it's always so so worth it!

The blasphemy against the Holy Spirit is summed up in Hebrews 6. It is apostasy. However if you are convicted, and if you are repentant then you have not committed it because if you had committed it you could not be repentant. If you truly repent and truly return to God you will be saved.

Im a young teen and Im convinced i have commited it. Ive been raised in a Christian household being exposed to scripture 24/7. Despite 100% believing in the truth i have deliberately unrepentantly lived.in rebellion. Now my heart is rock hard, conscience is seared, i cant believe anymore. I have zero remorse over sin or conviction whatsoever and feel like i can no longer genuinely repent.

This is a really good teaching from pastor Tim and helped me. The funny thing, I'm thinking, and I don't know if other believers have made the same mistake that I made when reading these verses in Hebrews, ch 6 and 10, but I would imagine a person that is in the church, and then think (is it me?) but the wording doesn't necessarily mean that, I don't think any of it does. It can just as much mean the person observing manifestations of God, through the Holy Spirit to them, whether they attend church or not, God is making it clear to them and in spite of that they go on to reject continually. Thanks, I'm half way and will resume it now

Romans 10:13 “EVERYONE who calls upon the name of the LORD shall be saved.”
Repent, turn from your sins, and trust in Jesus and Jesus Christ alone and you SHALL be saved. Finding that true faith to trust in Him might take some time, but read your scripture (the four canonical gospels are a great start) and seek after him because Jeremiah 29:13 “you will seek Me and find Me when you seek Me with all your heart.”

Stemming from my research this is what I have found out about the unforgivable sin. It was only committed, while Jesus Christ was on earth, performing holy miracles that people could see, while Jesus was in the flesh. It was only committed by the Pharisees or scribes of that day that saw Jesus doing miracles yeah, they were so hardhearted they purposely Blasphemed to Jesus, and even the Holy Spirit by denying the power that was truly in Jesus. Jesus said that this sin will not be forgiven in this age, nor in the age to come. This age was current concerning his earthly ministry. The age to come is when he returns to earth to physically rule the Earth. These are strong clues to show that the sin cannot be committed unless someone wants to see, Jesus performing his holy miracles by the power of the Holy Spirit, and then be so hardhearted to attribute it to an unholy source. Therefore, I support that this sin cannot be replicated today.

I am where you are my friend. You are not alone.
I write this to encourage you and build you up.
Fall upon Christ and pray for forgiveness. If you can still repent and go to Christ. You have not committed the unforgivable sin and will certainly not be cast out.
      1 John 1:9
If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness (ESV)
      John 6:37
All that the Father gives to me will come to me, and whoever comes to me I will never cast out (ESV)
A blasphemer who is eternally damned
won’t go to Christ. Thus you must go to Christ.
I’m tired of Satan tripping up brothers and sisters including myself with this conviction that you’ve committed the unforgivable sin.
Yes it’s real and yes It can happen as written in scripture. But it is not portrayed in scripture as someone who wants to be (or is) In Christ and is so scared and fighting against this blasphemy that they end up saying or thinking something out of frustration or demonic oppression.
When you get these thoughts you tell Satan or your flesh that you’re going to read the word and pray even more now. Fight even harder to live according to the commands of Christ thus showing that you know and love him.
      1 John 2:3
And by this we know that we have come to know him, if we keep his commandments (ESV)
Live for Jesus Christ our Lord. The Prince of Peace.
Abide in the Word. I pray for you. I’m here to talk if you need. But no human will give you true peace on this matter, only God.
Ask and pray to God for forgiveness in the name of Jesus Christ who died for your sins in substitute of you. Ask him for peace regarding this matter.
Explain to him how you feel and why you did what you did. Keep praying until you win this battle. And then pray some more.
If someone actively and persistently blasphemes God and lives in this eternal sin they will not want to be pardoned. They don’t want to accept Christ. They don’t want to stop sinning. They don’t want to be like Christ.
      1 John 2:6
whoever says he abides in him ought to walk in the same way in which he walked.(ESV)
These Pharisees from Mark 3 were trying to sway people away from Christ, not trying to believe in Him and proclaim the gospel, the good news.
These blasphemers didn’t say something privately in conversation with God during a battle of the mind and flesh and then felt horrible, repented and then went on living according the Christ and his commands.
but instead were actively , willfully blaspheming God in public gatherings, rejecting and refusing Christ and his word. Saying Jesus was of Satan knowing that wasn’t the case. Are you doing that?
Even if these blasphemers that are never forgiven are concerned, they will not have the ability to repent and abide in Christ. but instead will go sinning and not turn from there wicked blaspheme ways.
So you go abide in Christ and receive assurance of your salvation and forgiveness
If you did say something in public or in ignorance, go to the Apostle Paul for comfort.
      1 Timothy 1:13
though formerly I was a blasphemer, persecutor, and insolent opponent. But I received mercy because I had acted ignorantly in unbelief, (ESV)
I’ve even heard R.C Sproul discuss the Mark 3:29 scripture as if it was a warning, yet again showing the patience our Lord has with us, knowing our hearts.
go to and believe God through his word who is rich in mercy and slow to anger. Do not be afraid, just believe. Cling to these verses.
      John 3:16
For God so loved the world that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish, but have eternal life. (ESV)
      John 5:24
Truly , truly I say to you, whoever hears my word and believes him who sent me has eternal life. He does not come into judgement, but has passed form death to life.(ESV)
If you have questions please ask them.
I encourage discussion on this matter, if you disagree, by all means, let me know.
I pray you may all have grace, peace, and mercy from God our Savior and Christ Jesus our Lord.
      Amen

The gist of this whole sermon is that people who have committed the unforgivable sin would not care that they did and those are the people that will never be forgiven because they deliberately and happily turned their backs on god. While Christian’s are fearful of blaspheming their god and they actually care about god it’s ironic. I used to have an OCD topic about blasphemy, going to hell, and what not. But I figured out how to beat it, I just agreed with the thought , made it worse on myself , and let my anxiety come and stay for as long as it wanted and then it alleviated . The content of the thought doesn’t matter, I don’t care what it was talking about because it’s all junk mail. I just live with the uncertainty that god knows that it’s part of the process of OCD recovery.

It is important to remember that if everyone were to do as our Holy Father in heaven advised, that is decline to partake in a fallen world; reject the fallen world; reject the possibility of a sin nature, (touch not the evil gift that is malignant dualism) everyone, universally, would likely recall that God made us perfect in his own incorruptible and singularly good image ("God is perfect. His works are perfect. We are the workmanship of his hands." Be ye therefore perfect as our Father in Heaven is perfect." )
We have permission to be perfect. Permission to be perfect was granted from the beginning. When we accept original perfection given of God, there can be only what Saint Peter described: creation progressing from grace to grace without sin.
If we contemplate deeply what rejection of a fallen world and rejection of a sin nature means, we can see that if one were never to be introduced to a fallen world and malignant dualism, much less to receive it, there could be no corruption. There could be no necessity of anything in the way of saving a fallen world or anyone in a fallen world. That fallen world could never come into existence. You have only the incorruptible. You can't save anything that is incorruptible. It doesn't need saving. That goes to the core of what some of Christ's critics were saying: that any corruption was evil, depraved, perverse, and that knowingly participating in any of it, or allowing it in any degree, was evil, depraved and perverse. I don't think that is blasphemy. Actually, it might be more blasphemous to say that a singularly good God who is incorruptible made a fallen world and gave people a nature to sin which made them depraved monsters and required an inferior theology of death and resurrection entailing a violent, bloody sacrifice of the sinless, and blood and horror and death generally, to effect it. That seems much more blasphemous.
To say Christ or anyone opposed to evil has good intentions and pure motivation might be accurate, but the whole fallen world scenario is driven by the most peverse of notions. It is unreconcilable with incorruption, purity, perfection, or even plain decency. Getting out of the blindness, "can't see the forest for the trees", of the salvific, was pretty much what they were saying was the key, the most important vantage point.
It's important to reject the fallen world and a sin nature. Likewise, it is okay to accept the good intentions, and to recognize the pure motivation, of a person, whether Christ, or just the Christlike, who want the world to be free from evil if it is the case that they do *not* implicitly accept the imposition of a fallen world or condone it. Although that was the critical assumption of those who said Christ, the Savior of a fallen world, should be rejected on the basis of the whole dualism operation being a show of corruption, it is possible to recognize the holiness of the intention, if not the context. Christ's critics were called blasphemous because Christ's intentions were presumed holy. The objection remained that the whole context was wrong, so holy as the salvific may be, it could not be admitted to existence. It was a matter of "once corrupted, always corrupted" and "trailing clouds of profane history" that can not ever truly be erased, not even outside of time, just forgotten or removed from cognizance. The record always shows the correction whether any individual is cognizant of it or not. The convoluted solutions of inferior theology do not solve that problem. So, his critics do have a point, and they are, as our Holy Father in Heaven did, advising there is a better course for creation. I wouldn't think we should be inclined to disregard that good advice or to characterize it as an attack. After all, the *best* way to save a fallen world is *not* to have one. That top-down approach is demonstrably better. It is much superior to the bottom-up approach starting from a wrongly conceived, legitimately condemnable, pit of a fallen world no one needs to fall into. That would amount to gratuitous harm. Gratuitous harm is not a very nice thing to include in your theology. Anyone who insists on it should not be received. That's the consensus.

Understand that there are many ages in the Bible. Ages passed, the current wicked age, the millennial age, the new heaven new Earth age. In Jesus time when they Spoke evil of the holy Spirit, they were not going to be forgiven in the present age or in the age to come. After that age to come, there is another age when every knee bows and every tongue a claims that Jesus is Lord. At that point, there are no unbelievers and God is a savior of everyone, especially believers.
1 Timothy 4:10 To this end we labor and strive, because we have set our hope on the living God, who is the Savior of everyone, and especially of those who believe. 11Command and teach these things.…

I have OCD which causes voices that disturb me in my heart and those voices are the voices of blasphemy against the Holy Spirit. I have been struggling with this mental illness for maybe more than 2 years, and at one point I was tired of this situation and then I said the Holy Spirit is the Spirit of the devil because he didn't help me in healing this disease. can I still be forgiven because I said the Holy Spirit is the Spirit of the devil, I said this because I was angry with him why He didn't help me.

      Amen

How do we know we are beyond repentance. Can you show me in Scripture

    • @jpmadison98
      @jpmadison98 Год назад +9

Repentance is the act of SEEKING forgiveness; it is a gift from God. It follows conviction of sin, and conviction of sin is from the Holy Spirit. Therefor, if an individual has no desire for repentance or reconciliation, no conviction of sin, no desire to abandon the path to perdition AFTER they have been exposed to the light, it's possible they have reached the point of no return.
But then again, it's not guaranteed. People say things all the time or act in rebellion that does not reflect the true nature of their hearts. God draws the line and determines when a person has reached that point. We should never go beyond ourselves and step into the judgement seat to make determinations about said people.
So if you're concerned about yourself, rest assured, you're not beyond that point if you have spiritual desires. If you're concerned about a loved-one, take hope in the promise of God: Philippians 1:6 "He which hath begun a good work in you will perform it until the day of Jesus Christ:" Jesus is the author and finisher of our faith. God bless you.

John 6:44 "No man can come to me, except the Father which hath sent me draw him: and I will raise him up at the last day."
Your spiritual desires are proof that God has not forsaken you and is drawing you near. And He wouldn't be doing that if there wasn't an opportunity for restoration. Remember, no matter what we've done, or where we've been, the blood of Jesus Christ is enough to cleanse us from ALL unrighteousness if we'll turn to Him (1 John 1:9). Blasphemy of the Holy Spirit is Never being saved to begin with. Apon hearing the gospel of Jesus Christ we are sent the Holy Spirit. The job of the Holy Spirit is to reveal Spiritual truth of who Christ is (not just what we read and understand, But Spiritual Knowlege of the Son of God). Without this truth we face death alone (unsaved). We as Christians here the gospel the, spirit is sent and instead of going to Prayer and God for interpretation we go to man and a religion of men. In this we Never come to Spiritual truth and in doing this Blaspheme the Spirit by ignoring Him and instead putting faith in man, not God. The Pharisees Jesus was talking to were literally hearing and seeing the Word of God right before their eyes and yet they not only did not see who he was, but by saying that he was of the devil was in essence exactly what we do when we don't listen to Him and judge those who do understand Spiritual things. There is only ONE sin that is unforgiven, NEVER being forgiven in the first place. Because of our lack of Spiritual Knowlege.. Thats It, this is why they were in "danger" of never being forgiven and not "On the spot going tpo Hell". because if they continued to think this way and die without understanding they would not be forgiven seeing that they (as we) are without excuse, having been given the opportunity to believe and listen to the Spirt. but instead, we (as they did, and still do) follow in a religion and physical works and knowledge of men.. He is quite literally explaining How to come to Christ in this verse, and the danger of being carnal minded and following a religion and putting faith in our own understanding or the understanding of other men. Only God reveals Spiritual truth. The importance of prayer and reading your bible for yourself is PARAMOUNT.. Loose the religion for a while until you get a foundation built on God. Trust me, the Spirit is waiting patiently for this.. Watch that bible come to life. Stop putting the bible up as a golden calf. the bible is only there to bear witness of what GOD reveals to you in Spirit. You will NOT understand it spiritually unless God be the one to show you, so don't rely on your pastor or any man for this. Because they cant and you can't hear the Spiritual meaning of it even if they themselves know it and give it too you. I know this because EVERY author of the bible already has this truth written down and yet you can't see it or what they are saying Spiritually, and wont until God opens the eyes and ears..
