Reading the change notes for Project Eden, it seems Ravien has fixed your Farr(t) in Polaris territory issue: "The major space orbits have been completely rebuilt using new playfield features. Faction territory now plays a bigger role in how many and what POIs, ships, drones, and resource asteroids will be in a sector. In general you will find more POIs for a faction inside of their own territory than outside of it, as well as some POIs that are only found in specific territories." Seems eminently logical to me and I wonder why Elion can't do the exact same thing, lazy bees. And for the Farr "Added secret unique weapon." I wonder what that is - ANY IDEA SPANJ?
Ive been spoilt by daily Empyrion for too long, I dont know how I am going to survive in the impending void while we wait for the next reforged eden series to start.
Thank you for showing us we are better off letting Polaris be our trade and station service flunkies than fighting them. I know now, when the 1.5 RE comes out, I'll be fighting pirates, Kriel, and Tesch. I think that it is good to back off on the Empyrion until then. I'm also wrapping up my own final 1.4 RE game for a bit of building until that big release day. Thanks Spanj
I have a snow planet in a system 9.8 LY away from Sigma Fulcrum. On that planet there are multiple COL traders that buy most types of deco, alien and human crew, booze and luxury goods. Super Wafer is another good resource dump with some higher capacities.
To be fair, I have been up since 5am and it's gone 11pm now but I just paused the vid to give someone a lift home, got back and saw what I thought was a "Bellend Class Cruiser" while you're telling it to get away. Had to double take to see it actually said Kellend. Bah, might have known Gerald didn't have his own ship.
One thing I hope will change during developing is the fact that we are supposed to be friends with Polaris and enemies with the Zirax. I really wish they will have the resources to make a good diplomacy mechanic, even at the cost of keeping placeholder skins for as long as it takes.
I agree, as I would also like to see a good diplomacy option, than just the scenerio quests to boost faction status, seem to me a lazy way of fixing relations with a faction. Just my opinion mind you.
I attacked Polaris in early game without shields and it was hard. The Polaris took out the whole front of my SV and I had to tunnel my way into the sanctuary to avoid the guns. Yet, there was almost no loot, so it was worthless.
Kind of an anticlimactic deal with the Polaris, amazed there wasn't more loot-able containers. Continue to rule with an iron fist, the universe is your oyster ;)
if you want other faction Rep, go find a Polaris owned asteroid to mine out with the CV mining laser (mine out all the stone as well) after one single asteroid i went from Hostile with Zirax to Honored although this was last update, so i don't know if there is still OWNED asteroids on the game anymore
I usually end up getting better loot out of the Polaris space pois they're grown poise tend to be a little lacking but there is a few that are halfway decent
I've seen a few other facilities on land still I don't think they've removed any I'll have to check them out and see if they're just as bear on the inside But that is a level 2 HQ
I'm very glad to see that my Guard of Farr structure is spawning, even if it's in the wrong place. Slightly disappointed that you didn't attack one when you had a selection of lower leveled ones, though :P
@@Spanj Don't worry mate, I just meant to point out that you now have a selection of lower leveled Farr POIs available whenever you want to run some more of them. Just seeing something I made mentioned in a video is awesome!
I think generally, most players prefer to keep within the good graces of Polaris for trade purposes, so Eleon has, like you said, not as well developed, as the factions most people like to fight, like the Zirax. The game started with three developed factions Zirax, Pol, and of course the Talon, now we have a lot more factions in game so their not so well developed. Makes sense when Eleon, wants to avoid lag issues and keep the game playable until, I'm assuming they're, ready to finish the game build and start maxing out the game engines capabilities. (Yet another reason why eleon should still be officially in beta. Adding more factions could have been done as DLC's, instead we still have what still feels like an incomplete game.)
Something is off with 1.5 poi distribution in vanilla. Non faction space is mainly empty. You might get the occasional small colonist poi but the planets usually just have debris fields, broken radars and so on. They need to increase the poi chance per planet by a large margin. Spending 4 hours jumping around (non faction) to try to find a good planet to raid isn't fun. And they need to increase the chance for other faction poi's in factioned space as well. They've really made things feel empty in 1.5.
Polaris are not a threat, attacking them is just plain boring, I think that they are just meant to be the traders of the Galaxy, I wonder how long would it take you to become friendly with them once more?

To get your rep back, you can use one of those new credibility seal things. Then do the deliver fuel quest a few times and BAM! Honored 👍
I hope the developer give the factions more strength etc as it appears that most POIs etc are a simple walk over. I'd like to see smart enemies and stronger enemy weapons, at leat equal to player, if not slightly more. It gets boring when you simply park a CV in front of a POI and with a couple of shots from a minor weapon, take out their whole defense system... Besides that, I find empyrion fantastic, just needs to be more challenging for mid to late game. PE helps in some areas, but unfortunately messes up a lot of basic game mechanics.

You could try doing the faction quests. Seems fairly simple as long as you can find a trade station you can enter.

I think those refineries and mining camps and the like are a Project Eden thing. Or at least that's where they originally came from.

Why not just use a Seal of Credibility for the pirates to get back to neutral?
