My favorite part about this hobby is finding the gems! I got this at an estate/yard sale. The driveway was tight and I parked in a precarious spot so I was rushing through. I found a few things and hurried over to the homeowner. She took each item in her hand and said "a dollar, a dollar" and when she got to the knife she said, "what the hell is this?" I told her it was a pocket knife and that she should go easy on the price if she doesn't even know what it is! She laughed and charged me another dollar!
Thanks RoadKing! I'm loving those scotch brite discs! I've been lucky with my yard sale finds lately. I've come across some really historic manufacturers! Stay tuned I have a couple more on the way!
Awesome! About 1 minute or so in, I was thinking he's gotta break out the flitz..and boom. Looks great. I grabbed a tube..for a solid week no bare metal in my home was safe. Lol I can totally see why you use it, great product.
Great Video Man!!!...I have that same Knife its a 1972 Hawkbill stamped with the letter "I"....i'm loving scouring pads these days i'm gonna check out your vid for the Dremil Discs...Thumbs Up :]
Great video. Super informative. Where do you get the varying grades of Scotchbrite pads? I'm aware of the green ones at the grocery store but I've never seen the red stuff.
Thanks Ben! Home Depot has the red and grey. I bought the super super fine white stuff at Lowes a few years ago, but I don't think they carry it anymore. Auto parts stores should have the different grades of scotch brite as well. The last engine show flea market I was at had a bunch - I kick myself for not picking some up there!
Thanks for watching! I don't remember where I found the date code online. Here is one source: www.allaboutpocketknives.com/knife_forum/viewtopic.php?t=45727
I had a small version of one of these with a single sheepsfoot blade that was great for peeling insulation from wire but the McDonald's salt packets in my glove box ate the blade away beyond saveable. I don't even know if Klein still makes them.
Prefer real wood but gotta admit the plastic held up well. I have an M. Klein & Sons adjustable wrench and I have a Klein adjustable spud wrench, not sure when they changed to being just "Klein" but I know the M. Klein & Sons is the older of the two.

That's an electricians knife. They usually have two blades. A drop point and the screw driver. Usually wooden handled.
This knife is available from Klein new.

Hey I got the same knife do you know the date by any chance
Thanks for watching David! The Klein pocket knives have date codes. This one has an H, which dates it to 1996.
