Love the idea of Gym Leaders using atypical Pokémon and Terastalizing them to match. A Grass-type Sudowoodo especially! Truleewoodo. Wonder if every Leader will come up with a nickname like that.
It will be better if the gym leaders are programmed to not terastalize when facing an advantageous matchup. I don't see the reason why he needs a grass-typed Sudoowoodo when battling against Fuecoco.
@@PhucTran-wb4sv Rock and Grass are the best type combo to play those mindgames with too, since Rock covers all of Grass's weaknesses, and Grass covers Rock's weakness to Water and Ground
I really like Klawf. Not sure what I like about its design but it amuses me.
The fact that it's got an ability that grants it a free Shell Smash at half HP is icing on the cake, too.

What I got from this video:
- Delinquents have somehow managed to claim territory of multiple areas within the region

- The Crab is likely a Rock type (though Ground is also a possibility)

I wonder if the Megaman Pokemon are Ancient and Neo Bisharp.
They're called Armarogue (Fire/Psychic Scarlet one) and Ceruledge (Fire/Ghost Violet one), though if the Paradox Pokémon have new names I could see them potentially being Bisharp's forms. I don't remember from leaks if they were supposed to have unrelated names or not.
@@rympha3581 They aren't, They are Ceruledge (Violet) and Armarouge (Scarlet) They look like Gallade and Bisharp mixed, which are some of my favorite Pokemon. Especially Gallade, it's in my Profile for Crying out loud XD!

That’s actually kinda clever when you think about it. These gym leaders can surprise you by throwing out Pokémon that are not their designated type, but then change it to that type with terrastralization. Kinda neat really.

This game actually looks amazing. It seems they're finally expanding the things you can do in Pokémon. It's not just about becoming the Champion anymore. It's about the fun activities and people on the journey. I think this game may really capture the spirit of what Pokémon truly is.
Ceruledge looks so amazing. Now that's going to be one of my favorite Fire/Ghost Pokemon. Because of the sword-like arms. I'll add that to my team.
To be fair, there are only 2 other lines with that typing as far as I remember.
But Ceruledge is definitely peak. Might wait to see if it dethrones Chandelure for me.

I think its actually a different battle mode? It looked to me like it was different somehow when compared to the other trailers
@@Elekeon I think you will be able to walk around in wild battles but not in gym and Elite 4 battles
So, basically it's just like Legends Arceus again. Except in that game, you HAD to move around during battles as some attacks can and will hit the trainer if you're standing too close to your Pokemon, which will make you faint.
Now Klawf. Pure rock. They've really been driving home in recent generations that Pokemon based on aquatic animals don't have to necessarily be water type. I dig it.
Thank goodness for that too. I get that there's loads of diverse life in the seas, but we don't need a sixth of the pokedex to be water pokemon.
They did that since Gen 4 Hippowdon and Gen 5 Krookodile & Eelektross; nothing "recent" about it

I love Klawf. A crab with a "no thoughts, head empty" expression makes me very stoked to catch one. You just know there's elevator music playing in that noggin.

I never thought about it before, but Terastalizing mean that Gym Leaders could use just about anything and still technically stick to one type.
It could also cover any type that's lacking in the region, like Flint in Gen 4.

In other words, strategy means nothing now. Though chances are they will only n have one Pokemon of a random type, which will inevitably be terastalized, meaning it doesn't matter what Pokemon it is.

Yeah, I’m not really big on auto battles. I went on a rant about this on some other video, but Pokémon has been making some games (I’m looking at you BDSP) so convenient and user friendly that you don’t even need to play the game to beat it. Hopefully they’re not that important, or they’re optional.
The distinct lack of Penny info makes me think she's going to be a little more important than we may have thought. I think Penny could be an X factor like N considering how Cheren and Bianca like Numona and Arven seem to be.

I like how they took the gym battle music from sword/shield and put it in this game with a twist. Not as good as Cynthia's theme but still a banger.
i hated the gym battle song so much, id either mute my switch or rush the gym battles everytime i had to hear it... so annoying
it doesn't seem like they did, the only thing that really carried over was the vocals
the Galar gym battle theme was just a remix of the default gym battle theme, which we've had since gen 1 lol

Everything looks amazing, the textures, different sizes, the terrain, the only thing is the battle animations seem to be a downgrade from legends arceus. Hopefully we will get open world catching similar to arceus but I don't believe it's going to happen.
@John Doe best way to do things imo. Unfortunately most fans set expectations sky high, get dissapointed, say the game is bad then about 4 years later sing its praises and act like they always loved it. Pokemon Black and white got hit hardest by that imo. 3d pokemon deserves a lot of the criticism it gets but even swsh or lgpe will probably be remembered as better games than people see them as now. Hopefully this doesn't happen with sv though. Fans didn't do it with legends arceus so i doubt it would happen this time either but if it did, its the kind of thing that would discourage gamefreak and make them want to go back to not trying. The games look amazing to be fair but people need to set expectations to normal mode.

It’s pretty funny that Teams in Pokémon have gone from evil villains to just a bunch of teenage punks.
Also Mela is the leader of Fire Crew meaning there might be another branch, probably the one we’ll see in Violet.

assuming shes going to stay the same in both games and not be another person in one of the games
(Spoilers for SM/USUM below if you haven’t played it) I’m thinking (or hoping lol) that this is just a “decoy evil team,” kind of like Team Skull was, with Aether Paradise being the much bigger threat.
Teenage punks are the enemy of both young children and adults, so it's the perfect villain, really.
Maybe Team Star has a larger goal, like Team Plasma from BW
Okay almost exactly like everyone expected of the three stories they've been teasing so far.
- Become Champion
- Defeat evil team
- Go after titans (or totem/alpha pokemon), probably the legendary storyline.
It's nice to see that you can choose which one to do in which order, but it's still the standard pokemon formula. I really like this actually, take the formula that works and give it a new tone to it.

Lovin the fact that this game is pushing away from generic Pokémon cutscenes and now having more polished cutscenes (kinda like the starter scene in SwSh). Also i really like the evil team here + the new mons. Now HOPEFULLY I dont get spoiled a week before launch like another game im certain you heard of *cough* splatoon 3 *cough*

P:LA had some adaptive music, just not in battles. Every zone transitions seamlessly with their music, and walking into a still-forming spacetime distortion will distort that music.

I really hope so. I loved the gym theme in sword and shield. Their last pokemon the tune changes and I just get filled with adrenaline to win... Yes, I get over hyped over a kids game.

One thing I find Pokémon does consistently well is character design, like I'm already in love with brassius, Geeta and the rest. They always seem to stand out from each other, each having vibrant characteristics and personalities, it's one of the main reasons I love the franchise.
Personality? None of these characters will develop or say anything besides shouting out 2 line comments, while NoA butchers the english translation for what they're actually saying.
I think the only one I dislike is Leon...
He looks like a 1st grader whose mom let him dress himself for the first day.
@@JS-kb4bk personality doesnt always need to be just dialogue. it can be described from actions too, yknow. or just facial expressions alone, theres many ways to describe personality. (and also they arent always going to be like swsh characters,,,i know those had lackluster dialogue and i agree they shouldve put more)

One thing I’ll give Gamefreak is that they have really good character designs. I love the way the new people look.
All of them are "full of personality" and I just love that! Characters have never been so good!

3 things that will happen: chairwoman is corrupt, Team Star won’t be evil and will be a Team Skull/Yell rewrite, Nemona is weak.
Motorbike pokemon... that's a huge stretch from being able to mount Rapidash, Charizard Snorlax, dragonite, and what ever else that makes sense. They better bring out Formula 1 and GT3 pokemon mounts next, maybe even a tesla model'chu perhaps with auto pokecollision detection when riding through tall grass. I think they will save those ideas for when they bring out Maroon Moon and Sunfire Sun.
