@@theregisteredmurse Thank you, DJ. I'm glad you liked it. I would keep the Suhr Corso - It's 5w, more than enough for me, it has great clean and overdriven tones, a very flexible EQ, a line out, and a built-in attenuator.
@@tonecontrol ha! that made my evening. Check out their rendition of Voodoo Chile and their song The Marriage of Coyote Woman, that's some true bluesy stonerish delight
Hi Adrian, I've been subbed to your channel since your hendrix/frusciante freestyle vid from back in the day. I was going through my old videos saw that again then decided to look up your new content. Today I had a really bad day at work and this video here mad me feel SO much better and inspired me to keep at guitar myself, I've been lagging. Seriously... keep up the good work. From your loyal fan- E.L.
Hey Adrian, amazing playing! Could you recommend me some resources for learning to play in a similar style? I'm especially interested in phrasing and maybe some lick examples to get me started.
Thank you very much! Recommendations - That's an interesting question. I'm currently studying music, primarily on a channel called "NewJazz", I would recommend going there to possibly expand your mind a little. If you compartmentalize what I'm playing here it's basically the pentatonic scale, the blues scale (pentatonic +1 note), and the Dorian scale (pentatonic +2 notes). Each scale has a particular flavor, I would recommend getting closer to the sound of those scales. Phrasing - it's basically blues phrasing. This is perhaps hard to learn by studying, I think knowing the sound of your scales, how to play them and when to play them is the first step, that's like learning how to talk, phrasing is the way you talk. I hope that makes sense!
Hey Adrian, how are you? I was thinking about one of your videos today, then came back to the channel this evening and realized it's been exactly one year since your last upload. I really hope you're doing good, it hasn't been a easy year for anyone. Cheers mate
Hi Nelson, which video were you thinking about? I'm doing good, having a great time with my family, we recently moved to Colombia and I don't have anything but my son's acoustic, leftie guitar 🙃 I hope you are also doing great!
You are a real musician. I love your art. I hope you are not angry if I introduce you to another player who also comes from another planet. With best wishes from Saarland
It is Jack Jennings who found a way to play his guitar like a sitar without modification. I find these Indian scales very meditative and inspiring and of course Sir John Mc Laughlin with Shakti ruclips.net/video/qGW4nrsZJ3o/видео.html All the best for you and thank you for your great music.
Saludos!

, I haven’t pulled the trigger on a new amp in a while, but that shut thing sounds real good, but I don’t have the money for two amps, so , I would have to sell the mini plexi, what’s ur thoughts?
Well, in this video you can only hear the Vox AC4HW, pretty cool uh? I'm dreaming about that mini plexi tho, I think you can get similar sounds from both, but the Plexi might have more "balls". I would keep the plexi 😊
Adrian Figallo well I see u sort of get this high volume bassy tone, but your not hitting the strings that hard cuz u got so much volume, an a bit of fuzzy overdrive, that tone right there is my dream tone, any tips on getting there?😀
Well, first of, let me tell you, the grass is always greener on the other side. I'm sure you can achieve similar results with that mini plexi. With that said, the approach for this tone is to set the amp on the edge of break up, meaning, if you hit a chord it should distort a little and sustain, if you hit it soft it will sound clean and rounded. You achieve that with a non master volume amp just but raising the volume, simple simple. The EQ is up to taste. Now here is the super important part, don't hit the strings so hard, you need enough volume/gain from the amp to break up with a softish touch, that's what creates the "rounded" tone, you can call that headroom. Then set the fuzz to taste using the same approach. The Park Fuzz sound has a very interesting mid range control which allows you to set it "dark" like in this track. 1:33 I'm hitting the strings "softly" - no fuzz - that's the "break up" 2:42 that's a very soft touch - no fuzz 3:40 Koko Boost on 4:08 More aggressive 4:40 Fuzz on - neck tone down 5:50 Tone up, aggressive playing - maybe a little too much, some notes are too flat Hope that helps!
