Oh my god I’ve never related to something more in my LIFE! I just turned 25 and honestly I’m scared and a bit lost. Trying to be healthy, grow mentally and compete in this hustle culture has swallowed me whole and I’m just now learning how to live the life I want to live for ME. I’m just thankful I’m not the only one who felt this way 💜

This video is amazing. 20’s are tough. It’s the point in life where you are trying to figure out what to do with it. Afraid of many things. Am I going to be successful? Is this really what I want to do for the rest of my life? It’s soooo stressful. Definitely, mental health is REALLY important. Your own thoughts can either make you or break you. be strong and stay positive! ❤️

just broke up with my bf bc he didnt respond to any of my texts/calls for almost a month. and i think the hardest lesson i learnt was that just because something is familiar and comfortable, doesn't mean it's right for you. letting go of someone you love will hurt so badly but in weeks/months to come, it will be for the better esp if that person you love isn't giving what they've been taking from you.

Miki, you're an inspiration & I look up to you as my role model, not just as a nurse but daily things where we can all relate to at least one thing! I've been following you on ig and yt for about 2 years or so, and I'm happy how far you have come throughout the years! Thank you for your hard work & I love you and always supporting you!!~~ 🥰❤❤

Everything happens for a reason. There are some people that you will meet along the way that will teach you things or make you start the things that you've been putting off to live the life you've been dreaming of. You won't vibe with everyone that you meet so just be you & everything will fall into place in its right time.

Lesson I learned so far (about mental health and life speed):
I'm 22 and I'm already burned out with how fast my life was. It's been four months and I'm still trying to recover. Sometimes it is so painful to see how my friends get going with theri life. Meanwhile, I feel like I am stuck in time. It frustrated me to the point that I think my burn out almost turned into depression. My physical health deteriorates. And only then, I decided to give it a time. I pushed my project back, refused several job offers, and put off my goals and ambitions.
I am not fully recovered yet. I am still learning how to manage myself around this condition. But one thing changed after I decided to give my psychological condition a time. I became more accepting and some of my perspectives began to change as well. I used to think how unfortunate it was to get burned out when I was only 22, the age where I am supposed to get my life together. But now, I began to think about how fortunate I was to learn this lesson about mental health early in my 20s, so that I should not let myself fall into the same hole when I get to my 30s, 40s, and later life.
Yes, life is a marathon and not a sprint. But this hustle culture makes it seems like you have to sprint to get to your destination. And I was just like that for a few years. A year ago, I was wondering when should I stop and catch a break. This burn out and depression is not the kind of break I was thingking of, but I might as well transform it to be the break I deserved. Back then I was thinking of going back running at full speed after my break. But now, all I think is how I want to restart my life and start my marathon again after catching a break. I decided that rather than resuming my sprint, I will slow things down, and use my own life speed with cleaner and healthier slate to continue my journey.

I loved this! I resonate so much because I just turned 30 this year. I wish I had watched this video in my 20’s. Everything from setting Asian parents boundaries to addressing the fact that I didn’t even think about self care in my 20’s. It became evident that I was feeling the all time low in late 20’s, that I couldn’t wait to turn 30! The little habits matter so much, and now that I’m realizing this, it’s never too late to start!

I guess 20s have its charms where you’d lost your way and learn more about yourself at the same time. Being a mother in my 20s and I lost myself there, I felt like shit all the time but the more I fell deeper into despair and depression, I have realized that no one will ever save me and my daughter doesn’t deserve that version of myself. That’s why I turned my life around. Started to read and empower myself, and learned to take more care of myself. Strengthen your mind and love the life that you live😊 when you start doing so, the rest will follow.

Really enjoyed the video. You and Kevin are so much further along and more together than I was when I was in my 20s. I can say hands down, my most favorite decade was my 50s. I had gotten past all the "making it" part of my life and could begin to really enjoy life to the fullest. Focus on my second career, which is all about passion instead of a paycheck and 9 to 5. As long as I keep my health, I expect my 60s to be good, as well. So, something to look forward to.

Mental health is significantly important , I have always stressed out about my mids ( I am studying pharmacy ) so when I just let go the anxious feelings and just focused on doing what I really can do at this moment I ended up with almost a full mark ! ( 19.5/20 ) Compared to my previous grades ( 9 - 14 / 20 )
Just remember to breathe and take a moment everything will fit in place at the right time , trust yourself and if something get wrong remember it is not the end of the world and you can fix it or simply leave it.

Im not in my 20s yet lol but I have learned that I dont need to be perfect, that just trying is enough sometimes. If it works out, great. If it doesnt, dont beat yourself up over it. Obviously this doesnt apply to EVERYTHING but it does to a lot of small everyday things ✨

I'm in my 20s and definitely feel the problems that you talked bout. It feels weird knowing ppl around you are engaged, getting married or having kids since I know I'm not there yet. It's always difficult when you do more for other people but thts why I learned from my older cousin that if someone gives you 20% of their energy or care, then you should do the same. You should never just say yes for everything since people will try to take advantage. I hope things do get better for you and keep these videos up🤚☮

As someone currently also going through a quarter life crisis, I can honestly say that I like myself more now than precrisis me. I have learned a lot about myself and my relations with others. I have learned to enjoy the journey and not just rush to the next destination in life and I feel that I still have more to learn before its over.

I really loved hearing your thoughts and feedback about your 20s. I appreciate the advice and will try to implement that into my life. I am 20. I turn 21 in July. I honestly feel lost at times. I’m currently doing nursing school. I sometimes question whether or not I’m on the right track. I tend to second guess myself a lot and question my capabilities. I honestly feel tired all the time. I don’t really have a lot of friends and I’m okay with that. I don’t like to party or drink. Most people my age that are around me think it’s weird I don’t want to nor have the desire to go out and party. I definitely feel more like a homebody. However, I wish I had more hobbies. I never know what to do for myself or what interests me anymore. There’s so much more I could say but thank you for this amazing video. You’re a strong woman and I appreciate your content and your advice.

Be patient, kind and loving to yourself. Your 20’s is the learning period, I call it. You are learning yourself outside of your parents and what you learned from them. You trial and error your own decisions. Your discovering your own voice vs that of others. Trust me you may not get it right the first time and even if you do, two years later you may change your mind. The stigma that needs to change is that you have to have it together in your 20s. If life expectancy has increased so should your trial period 😉
    God bless you all 💛

I don’t really leave comments often but after watching, I felt compelled to.
I could relate well to like everything and I just turned 24 this year; life has been really so so wonderful since I’ve started to do some things better like managing work life balance much better, getting off early and sticking close to my own no-OT policy! I’m an auditor so often people OT but I’ve tried my best to not have overtime if I can, and finding more work smart ways to go around my work.
Last Nov I also took some courses to upgrade my data analytics skills which is also work relevant and I think my team can appreciate me much more now, given it’s a “rare” skill.
I guess the first is the most important; having “easy, irresistible” habits. One of my bosses told me to remember to always have a non-work related interest/hobby, else everyday feels like work, though your passion can make you enjoy work. I’ve now enjoyed more time alone, like watching a movie 🍿 by my own, shopping etc
My colleagues also feel I’ve had that “glow” this year compared to the last, which is really awesome 😎 I think it’s the result of all points in the videos combined. Your video provided like an affirmation of sort that I’m living life well, and we should be proud of leading better lives!!

Looking back at my early and mid 20s I must say that 95-99% of the stuff I worried about didn’t even matter in the end. If I could be 19 again I would just live my life without thinking too much. Also screw having 5-10 plans, they rarely work out according to plan - just let it happen naturally !

what i realize in my early 30s is that my nature is suppose to be slow.. i have my own internal clock in regards to my physiology so people getting married at 25? im glad i didnt because i suppose i couldnt handle that big life decision. at 33 in my own observation, my body is experiencing its maturation in terms of growth and development. im experiencing different kinds of sensuality i havent experienced in my puberty years and this gives me awe.
im not suppose to copy people of their milestone or else id get lost like a chicken constantly clacking and running around without a head.
i like everything slow, savoring mundane things, observing minute details otherwise i wouldnt have noticed if my head was up in the clouds all the time or in short, my senses never really present, capturing experiences.
