My opinion after knowing about the warcraft universe and lore for years now is that druids are exceptionally powerful. Malfurion, still being an apprentice, managed to push back Archimonde during the war of the ancients. Soon after,he battled Azshara for a short time and actually held his own (to battle the most powerful mage ever as a druid apprentice). Its true that they have their limitations, but its silly to compare their beastforms with the normal animal counterparts, for example as a druid in bear form is far more powerful than a normal bear, and also enhances his durability with nature magic. Their communion with the astral energies gives them incredible destructive magical power.
*_Few Interesting Facts:_* A Druid's power isn't entirely dependent on their environment. Powerful Balance Druids can call upon the powers of the Moon, Sun, and Stars in the form of _"Celestial-Arcane-Nature Magic"_ just about anywhere. Also, it was from the power of Nature, and by extension The Druids, that called upon the hundreds of thousands of wisps that killed The Burning Legion's 2nd-3rd most powerful member and left hand of Sargeras at Mount Hyjal: *Archimonde.* Never Underestimate the Power of Nature.
Not to mention the fact that a druid's animal form is unlike any normal animal...We had animals of the claw fighting off literal demons in bear form back in the second war X'D
true there is more proof of them being able to use their magic in evierments not containing nature like the firelands seeing as how the druids were able to help defeat ragnaros while inside it
I see now that I should have included that part. I wrote something initially but scrapped it. The reason for it is just because of how confusing their lore is so I felt it would be more speculation. A lot of their sources are from the RPGs which are non-cannon and recently the entire Elune storyline had a very big twist. Technically the in-game spec isn't very closely related to the lore. It is similar to the troll priests who in-game cast Light spells but don't use the Light.
As a balance druid myself i would love to learn more about their power and how it fits with the power level of other class so can you consider making a video about it in the future ? :D
Shamans ask the Elements for favors,Druids control and summon nature big difference,if you want to compare the classes why not compare the most powerful characters of the class, Malfurion Stormrage is essentially, like Khadgar if not stronger, the ultimate champion of Azeroth, Malfurion is even called Master by people like Thrall( Lore noobs think Thrall is so op because they never read a book),in addition about the argument about the non existing nature and druids will not be able to use their powers, that is easy to negate by taking the example of Malfurion Stormrage who has a pouch with many seeds, saps, branches, 1 of those in a desolate land can be used and grows into a massive tree in seconds...regardless,he is so powerful that the old Gods want him taken out before they get released, read Stormrage.
Totaly agree with you execpt some points. Yes Druids use "Azeroth" Power, but what would Azeroth be witout the 4 Elements? Without Earty and Water, there cant be Nature. Nature is based on the 4 Elements. Also Arcane Magic is way stronger than Nature Magic (" Malfurion Stormrage is essentially, like Khadgar if not stronger, the ultimate champion of Azeroth,") I think the Mages have the more powerfull Magic. I think the Balance between Shaman and Druids (Power Level) Druids 55% Shamans 45%
I think it's important to note that in older lore, Druids and Shaman really werent that different. Thrall in Lord of the Clans asked a tree to help him like he would wind water or air, and a horse spirit much like druids commune with animal spirits, like in Moonglade to gain bear form in the ol' vanilla quest chain. Druids speak to the winds, referenced by a few scattered druids from diff xpacs and wc3, and Malfurion was able to harness the earth spirits in War of the Ancients to cause an Earthquake at Xavius' tower over the Well of Eternity to destroy the Legion's first portal into Azeroth.
@@DrumsandOther no its totally oposite. Elements are least fundamental energy in lore. Elements is part of Nature not opposite. Elements are Even classificate as dead part of Nature. Just Look on Warcraft Cosmology Graphic. Elements are the smallest aspect of universe. And most fundamental are Void and Light After those there are Order and disorder (Arcane and chaos) And after that we had Life and Death (Nature and Decay) And The "Teenest" are Elements
Death Knights: Weakness against druids also depends on the scenario, because if that Druid can tap into the Emerald Dream, it's done. Especially against a DK: as seen in the quest "That which creates can also Destroy" and it's prelude quest "Seed of the Lashers" we know that the energy of the Emerald Dream is just devastating against unholy creatures. Mages have the issue of having their magic nullified with stuff like Mark of Ursol (which has lore) and stuff like Insect Swarm, which causes buzzing so intense even Illidan couldn't focus hard enough to create a spell.
Just to add this here... comparing classes, like you firstly said, is impossible. A normal bear and a druid calling on the Wild Gods is not the same thing. They are not equal in power. Also, the Wild Gods ARE the Loas. It is simply spiritually different and they connect to the Wild Gods in a very different way than we do. Trolls can dream as we do, but they do not call on "our" Wild Gods, they call on the Loas. Very much like Gods have different names and shapes in real life.
Druid could even sooth or simply bind a bear if they doesn't want to empower it..As it was shown we saw druids fighting off demons in bear forms..Literal demons with weapons..As bears..
I a bit (very) late, but seriously, comparing bear form to a Hunter's bear? Wolf form was forbidden because it was devastating at (and uncontrollable, but that's not the point) they don't just become animals they become extremes represented by these animals.
Not to mention worgen was also a form and they alone were able to make quite the difference in the satyr wars...Even now we can see worgens training unarmed...As their form is quite more powerful than your average person..
In theory druids are above the shamans, the shamans call upon the elements, the druids call upon Azeroth as a whole, that concludes and the elements and so much more. Also in the lore there is the Nature trance mode that Malfurion enters( also in a lower degree Broll anad Hammuul). There Malfurion commanded such power that he faced both Xavius and N'Zoth'w influence across ALL of Azeroth at the same time, thunderatorms, hurricanes and such and he summoned the spirits of all the remaining denizens of Azeroth to fight against the Nightmare inside the Emerald Dream/Nightnare, old Furion is a glass mega cannon. While Tyrande was guarding him in his trance, he nuked the Nightmare lord....
+Daniel Ortega Depends on the druid, I doubt Nature will obey any shaman even Thrall over Malfurion. Also druids draw power from Freya's work, they have tye Demigods and the Dragons to their field, for me Cenarion Circle surpass the Earthen ring by far. They have druids there whonare almost as old as Malfurion. The shamans with tye exceptance of Nobundo have at best some decades of experience...
+Daniel Ortega You are correct yet they were banished through Freya and the Wild Gods to their Realms. In the long Run the Druids and the Guardians of the Dream are bound to Azeroth itself and possibly through the Chronicles to the spirit of Azeroth??? Titan magic and all, while the Elemental lords are simple manefistations of the Elements of Azeroth...
+Daniel Ortega I disagree, in the war of the Shifting sands the Cenarion Circle stood their ground unleashing their powers upon powerful servants of the Old Gods in the freaking desert, they unleashed storms, hurricanes and such, the Shamans may have a little advantage conserning the fire element but as Cenarius, Malfurion and Hamuul showed us in the confrontation with Ragnaros calling upon Nature could bring down even the most powerfull of the Elemental Lords ....
+Daniel Ortega Malfurion called upon the Earth in WotA and caused such a catastrophic earthquake that even Archimonde was forced to retreat before the fissures rip him apart with his armies. But again that was Malfurion not a simple shaman. I serioulsy thing lorewise Malfurion and Shaman can collide cause Nature is with them both, well baybe a bit more with Malfy since its connexted with her as a Protector for millenia, but still. Unless one of them is corrupted lorewise none can hurt the other with its powers...
Would love to see a "How powerful are warriors" video. Their power seems to very wildcard-esque in lore. You have the basic grunts and soldiers not sporting much to characters such as Garrosh, Varian, Brox, Trollbane, and even the warrior player character now who seem to boast crazy power.
Worgen are connected to druidism because the worgen curse that was inflicted on said originally cursed nighteveles originated from the emerald dream. The OG night elves druids were trying to be boys with an ancient wolf god in the emerald dream so they could take its form. (just like we did with Koda and now can take bear form) But the wolf god had orange gear or something so the night elves just got cursed instead. Including bunch of other details... look it up ... the more you know (insert rainbow)
Could you make your videos less about obvious stuff that everyone knows (that they use nature magic and malfurion exists), and more on specifics that people might not know, like specific examples of druidic magic being used, demonstrating its quirks, and talking about how it differs from similar things like elemental magic. I'm pretty sure you didn't say a single thing that anyone who plays WoW wouldn't know.
I agree. A lot of important stuff was left behind. I can't see why a Feral Druid like Zen'tabra herself would be "weaker" outside of a forest. The same goes for Druids of the Pack, for example. Druids are usually "confused" with "tree-hugging forest people", but they are way more than that. They actually commune with all Nature, including living all beings, the sun, the moon, Ysera, Elune, the stars and powerful spirits like Goldrinn and Malorne himself... or the Troll's Loa. Also, Druids even when they aren't physically on a living land, they can tap into the Emerald Dream's energy. I'm not saying Druids are the most powerful class on WoW, but the video kind of made them look like Pokemons. If you are Fire and I use Water, I win ! But if you use Thunder, I lose. I agree about not using Malfurion as a comparison, since very few reach the Malfurion power level, but there are a lot of powerful druids like Zen'tabra, the Runetotem or that Ralaar Fangfire. Also, they are the most united class in all WoW lore. You can see all races working together, putting their differences aside for one objective. That means a lot in troubled times.
I appreciate the feedback but I don't necessarily agree that it is very common knowledge. The reason why I say that is because throughout the years I got hundreds of questions related to things covered in this video and druidism was very often a topic in my Q&As. I can't really talk in much more detail when it comes to nature magic just because there isn't a whole lot to it. Sure druidism is heavily covered in the books but in the end it is just one giant gray area with many contradictions and retcons. It is the case with almost all magic as Blizzard likes to throw a lot of information out but not really connect it to a point where there are strict rules. However some have been getting clearer and clearer like the Light.
There are definitely differences between the playable races as I did cover in this video. However trolls and even the original worgen mainly focus on shapeshifting. They would be able to do it regardless of the environment but in general the main source of a druids power isn't from shapeshifting. The biggest destruction we have seen came from thunderstorms and turning trees against invaders etc. I never said that the druids would be useless in a desolate place but they would be significantly weaker. The thing about them is that even though they can be fierce opponents the druids are not a strictly combat class. You wouldn't become a druid to protect the world and gain power but to help and maintain the nature. Their biggest strength is peace not war.
Doronsmovies You got it ! I'm sorry if I left the impression I disliked the video. That is not the case. I love your videos and I was looking forward to a "How Powerful Are Druids" =) I just wanted to clarify that we barely saw Druids other than Malfurion do something meaninful to the lore, therefore I know how hard it is to "pinpoint" the strength of the class. It is a really hard work and I appreciate the effort! I'm just saying that since characters like Ralaar Fangfire turned the tide of a war by developing a new Wildshape form, I wouldn't be so dismissive of their power, although different from the great storms. As you said, I believe their greatest strength is, as you've said, peace. It is the power to unite races from all factions, without prejudice, working together to understand whatever harms the land and act accordingly. Also, they can perform an allmighty Ritual called "Whatever-the-plot-needs Ritual" that is quite handy =) Thanks for replying and I'm sorry if I sounded rude. As I said, I appreciate you videos and your effort. Calculating how powerful those classes are Is a really tough work !
there is one thing which i didn't see in the video, and that is the druids' Astral powers. I loved the video but i'm still wondering where that aspect of their class is, after all, it's a pretty big part of their role
Lore wise, shadow priests can be Godly, compared with the power of Warlocks as one of the top tier classes. Also their healing capabilities is almost unmatched as they are one of the few classes that can defeat Death Knights with their holy light and are stronger with the light than Paladins.
marcial hormiga Well yes of course, Warlocks have always been the strongest Lorewise, I said that priests are up there but Warlocks of course outmatch them.
say the preists did most of the things of a warlock with the void i think the preist shadow atless would win agiast a warlock because their calling the void gods almost and their minons to do deadly damge warlocks might be able to win if the fight was quick but say it lasts for like 10 minuntes or 5 i think thats when the preist would start to win
How come? I don't imagine they're any weaker than rogues or warriors or any other melee classes which don't rely too heavily on magic. Plus they've got the power of chi which is pretty handy for all sorts of things and if the shit hits the fan they've also got all their Mistweaving abilities to stay alive...lore-wise at least :P
I think that monk might be stronger than rogues and equal with shamans/druids. Thay draw power from their own spirit just like shamans ask spirits for help... and if blessed by celestial... they can kick faces.
Unless you have some sort of magic barrier to protect you, rogues can sneak out behind you and stab you like Garona tried to kill Khadgar. Warrior can beat monk in hand to hand combat as we saw Garrosh beating Taran Zhu. Monk's chi energy is not really that strong as shaman's and druid's
Druids are the jack of all trades, master of none class imo. Probably by far the best/easiest class in the game to solo content as they have a tool for every job. Great class to main in that sense.
I enjoy your videos but I would really want to hear a more clear cut answer and ranking. The most powerful of them, and their power relative to an average players power in the lore would be different judges. To make it easier may I suggest putting classes in a 3 tier system? Like A tier would be warlocks and mages and C tier would be rogues for a example. Base it on how much potential, how destructive, how versatile the class is.
To Expand lets say a class is in B tier. It has a good chance to loose to a C tier and a possible chance to beat an A tier. Meanwhile a C tier would find it very difficult to beat an A tier without help. Just my thoughts, great video again.
I can agree with that but it's very hard to really rank them clearly as obviously I don't write the lore. My system is low, medium, high + the appropriate growth potential. I like your idea although I feel like it could confuse people that don't follow the series as then in every video I would have to spend time explaining the A,B,C groups.
Thanks for taking the time to read my comment. I just thought organizing them into tiers would benefit the videos in the long run. Like in 2 months from now you make the video on warriors people will forget what you said on other classes. Maybe a bit late to introduce but I bet it will take less than a minute to explain it in video. Maybe two minutes to show previous classes you have explained in the past and where they go in the tier system. My idea to limit confusion will be to put it at the end of your next video and giving the new class the rank you want like "high". At the same time you can briefly show a list with the previous classes in it that will expand further as the series continues. Plus it can be a nice closer to the videos making first time watchers more inclined to see your previous videos when they see your list. Again thank you for taking your time to read the comment section. I can see you matching up to Nobble numbers are beyond in time.
Hope the next class you cover is shamans. I once started a shaman character but didn't get very far but I am very curious how powerful they can be and how they measure up against the other classes.
Maybe you do not wanna druid in your team in legion base, but you definitely want him to alter fight in legion base to turn waste land into forest where legion has lower power and cenarion circle gets bonuses:)
@DORONSMOVIES You left out a LOT about druids powers. You focused only on the "trees" and "animals" part of being a druids powers You realize that Nature encompases MUCH more than that. And in lore and in gameplay that all druids have powers connected to the Astral plane and Harness UNIVERSAL magic of the light from stars the moon and the sun. And not only that, but even in a DESERT there is nature, nature encompases all life, the wind, air and SEA as well. All clearly shown in gameplay, and in the lore as well. You can dump a Druid in a "box" or even a "lifeless" demon world. Because a druid isn"t restricted to trees and squirells buddy. They have their own internal Magic to summon nature and project just like normal magic. Just look at balance druids, summoning windstorms from nothing, beams of pure astral Nature energy they absorb from all stars which exist in the ENTIRE universe. Druids are the epitome of LIMITLESS potential because the power they draw upon already resides within themselves and in the universe everywhere. Regardless if they're in a box, or a single planet. Face it dude, if it wasnt for game mechanics, the druids would OWN the other classes powers. But out of neccesity of balance the game and lore have to be toned down to manage
hey, doron, can we have a lore lesson, or a character video for Valeera Sanguinar and Broll Beermantle. considering their importance in the life of Varian, i think people should know about them more.
To be honest I'd say CC wise, they have it all choice to be every they want to be while being mobile at the same time because they can accept the whole downloaded MATRIX FOR WHAT IT IS.
@@ogikay7056 Yet the most powerful mortal is Malfurion, and lets not mentioned the axe that broxigar used( crafted by a druid that was the only thing that was able to wound sargeras)
Crowwell Dodger I think currently its Night Warrior. But it doesnt matter, we shouldnt look at individuals or mortals but classes as a whole. Also axe was crafted by a demi god not a druid we have as a class. I would like to add that broxigar may hit Sargeras but wound him? i dont think so. Dude is bigger than the Azeroth
i hope they will add some horns or else for druids in next expac cause we are the leader/champion of druid class in legion....the high ranking druids have horns or wings
I’d say in theory they’re actually one of the strongest classes. In no specific order, I’d say top 5 are: 1. Druids 2. Mage 3. Paladin 4. DK? 5. Warlock? Druids probably top 2 tbh
I know that this video was released some years ago but there are some lore mistakes here and there. First things first trolls are as much druids as any other class and their druidism is not voodoo. You could see what I mean by speaking to the troll druid trainer in echo isles, they were literaly trained and connected to emerald dream ^^ They just address wild gods as the loa. Secondly, cat form against a rogue and bear against a hunter is not a good..way to explain things. In lore it was shown again and again that their animal forms aren't normal animals. Sometimes they are bigger sometimes they even have stoneskin. Though ven back in warcraft 3 we know that bears were able to literally go toe to toe against demons. Feline's forms senses too are rather sharp and is unnaturally agile and what not. Thirdly this isn't a lore mistake but I think it is something that you forgot to mention, although dks are a hero clas and albeit are quite strong, especially due to saronite. It was shownin game lore tha life can be andis a counter to death. In Plaguelands you literally can sow seeds and make flowers and roots bloomd, in a barren landscape, in icc raid the green dragon prisoner says that she was able to keep up against lk's coruption for that long (and four liches) thanks to an acorn she brought from dream which's life force countered their corruption, and thirdly you can actually save malygos's first mate, sindragosa with a questline, you shoot out energies of life to the massive undead dragon to respark her soul and save it by pulling it out off the undead shell it holds..and lastly grean dragon we saved just destroys all the undead there via a life nova..Oh and lastly, some druids can actually use ACID.
@Goldmanschnozsteen sixtrillionberg npcs were alreaady using it just blizz not giving it to the players...Like how in lore mges can utilize lightning but blizz removed it in game to make shamans feel special.
Do monks next! And what's the lore reason for BM monks having infinite barrels of beer? Also, can you explain MW monks in a non vague way? Their description isn't ever specific.
Hey Doronmovies I wanted your opinion on if this would be a good idea for a patch or expansion so the void lords are a big part of the whole universe how about s time when we find out that void lords are working with the legion or that they have a secret base on the back of unexplored Azeroth and are planning a corruption of azeroth
+Doronsmovies Thanks for the vid! Love Druid lore. (: I was wondering if you ever considered doing a video on the druidic sects (such as Druids of the Talon, the Claw, the Fang, etc.)? :o
So from my understanding, these are the classes ranked from strongest to weakest Demon hunter Death knight Warlock Shadow priest Mages Druid Shaman Hunter Warrior Rogues Monks This is from my understanding
Points are kinda shallow and thus all episodes seems similar. I wish there was a more strict comparion. But again thanks alot I appreciate this series.
I hate the fact that druids have 4 specializations and actually enjoyed the fact when it only had 3. Since bear and cat form play different roles, I think they should at least be separated in the older talent tree.
great video. i was just wondering. arent the form stronger then their animal like a bear form is much stronger then a regular bear and so forth. i also read somewhere that when in bear form their pelt/skin is as hard as steel. is that True?
Sorry, but I'd rather go for a power that doesn't: - Cause me to rely on the whims of an external agent. - Is fully functional only in specific environments. - Demand me to conform to only a specific way of usage. That rules out druidism, shamanism as well as the Light (unless I wield the Light forcibly like Blood Knights). Its the reason why I've always picked warlock or mage.
Balance Druids are sort of mages to my knowledge. They commune with nature, and use that connection to draw from ley lines to cast their moon based spells. Either that, or Elune/An'she grants them this power. I personally prefer the first version.:D
Druids can pretty much defeat all classes. Is not all about damage is about survival. If druids use all their arsenal almost everyclass can get destroyed. (this sounds like PVP but is not, lorewise this class has alot to play with).
Hi! I gotta say tho : druids, imo, are more powerful than mages. Take the example of Malfurion. He battled and defeated 2 of the most powerful mages in the lore : Xavius and Azshara and I would assume he could also defeat Illidan. The rest is very nice, keep it up :)
Ironclaw04 dude... Malfurion got raped by a shade of xavius, I highly doubt he was EVER able to take him on let alone queen Azhara who is like one of the most powerful mages ever
+RuneMovement A shade who was powerfull enough to one shot Ysera, you do realize that he was overpowered by both Sargeras and the Old Gods right? Also lorewise the idea that we beat him inside the Nightmare without the help of Malfurion or the Demigods and the Green Dragons is stupid. There he is like Freddie Crueger he can do anything and we beat him without aid??? I'm ok with the druid players facing him but the rest????
You didn't talk about Balance druids, at all. YOu said druids use balance, but nothing about spell casting druids. Spells such as Solar Wrath and Lunar Strike are magic, much like a mages. A mage doesnt need fire nearby to cast a fire ball, much like a druid doesn't need nature nearby to cast a wrath or a starsure etc.
ive been maining a druid since TBC, ive raided heroic and mythic raids with some of my servers top guilds, i love everything about the druid, all the specs are fun in my opinion, you fucking transform ffs, their lore is so deep and rich, theres just too much to list but i think druids are the best for so many reasons, so glad they're getting some love in legion with the emerald nightmare.
love the videos they always very accurate. I agree that the druids are a medium class that have a lot of potential. there are very few druids with the power to beat most opponents. But they also have the potential to adapt like nature. in the case of fandral staghelm, or the satyrs and druids of the nightmare and flame; the druid class can adopt powers beyond regular druidism and gain so many more abilities and increase their power level tremendously. and again though this is not typical of a druid and most don't gain that much power, but the potential is there to surpass even some of the most power classes.
Caenlorn As I said Balance druids get their power from Elune, but we don't know wtf Elune is. That is original lore, but I still have to do some research into that new sun-magic they use (still doubt it's arcane magic).
hope somebody could answer me from lore perspective. Then druid takes a form of an animal(for example a deer) , can he kinda modify that form or he must strictly go with template of animal? Like embigger hoofs for speed , or form sharper horns to pierce chest of enemy. Also does attacks in animal form are 100% psychical like warrior swinging sword, or druid add some ""spice"" of magic to empower his attack with arcane/fire/lighting/ or other.?
he takes on the spirting ig the instincts and primal nature of that animal so at first no but a skilled druid can shape it with skill and understanding done wrong =feral worgan or something similar as the is more to that story
but isn't worgen is just a person who couldn't control his/her ferocity? like an angry person who drunk to much, lost control of rage and hitted someone and got arrested for that?
yes the form was very hard to control but then one druid tried to change it and made it worse similar but not the same but a example of the very bad end of possibility's but other druids have changed horns wings size mostly little things but yes it can be done
it changes the nature of the animal well it seems to be and that effects the druid like make it more vicious and the druid get more to making stronger as it is more battle designed but the nature of this new animal effects the druid if that makes sense
Cool video. But I was wandering if you can make an video of how to RP a High Elf even though they aren't a playable race. But somehow the players could RP like one of them.
How dumb are you, exactly? Of course they're a playable race. They've been playable since Burning Crusade... Just because the High Elves renamed themselves "Blood Elves", doesn't mean "they are no longer High Elves..." That literally makes zero sense. They only called themselves that in the first place to honor their fallen brothers and sisters.
In My opinion druids are second most powerful class after Warlocks. They are not mid tier for sure. They can shapeshift every Animal as u say. But most powerful druids Powers is that comes from stars and Sun. They dont exacly need to be in Forest to be usefull. Just desintegrate enemy with star beam or solar wrath. Or Just trow star shards from the sky. I Think thats Even more powerful than Arcane or Even Void Magic. But i also think that the Void is True Counter for Life. Death is not much of an counter to life. Death is Just the other side of the same coin. Dont counter ench other. But Void? Well Void brings Madness on Life and and horrific coruption. Even more dengerous than Fel in this case i think. Not more destructive but dengerous. Void countera life and elements. But no counters light as same as light do not counter Void. Two side one coin agein. For example Lights counter death but light is countered by most destructive energy as Fel or Elements. Here is some wierd thing couse Fel based on lore counters Arcane Even when the also Two sides of one coin.
Stealth that rogues use is really only an in game ability and not something they can do it in the lore. There are however ways to become invisible through magic, like Jaina did in Warcraft 3.
I would have to disagree slightly here. Subtly Rogues show an incredible use of shadows and Shadow Magic. Not sure how strong Shadow Magic might be in lore but Rogues quite often infect their enemies with damaging shadows or even heal themselves with the shadows. This isn't a martial skill like bandaging while stealthed the shadows around them actually heal physical injuries. So it's suffice to say they may actually employ a form of magic to cloak themselves, since the entire subtly spec is based around these above mentioned shadows and stealth itself as a whole.
Irrelevant Malfurion called lightning out of clear sky to kill Hakkar in WotA, he also had a pouch full of different seeds that he used for different occasions, he comanded the winds and could call upon the very rocks to shake the earth, a powerfull druid can be in total control werever he is...
Druids are a weird class for me. I always found it odd that they could summon hurricanes like a shaman, or utilize energy from the sun and moon.. like, what school of magic even is that? Can't just be all from the Emerald Dream. Now I can suspend any rationale for game mechanics, but lorewise I always saw druidry as more of a spiritual practise like yoga than a form of combat.. although it definitely would have its advantages over ordinary footsoldiers.
They're more of generalists. They can't match anything a shaman, priest, mage, warlock can do in their field of expertise, but they dabble in a lot of different aspects that make up nature, so they have a fair amount of versatility.

I think the Balance between Shaman and Druids (Power Level) Druids 55% Shamans 45%
if druids are so strong how could they lost to roman warrior
@@f.r.i.x7299 He means IRL druids from Celtic history haha.
And most fundamental are Void and Light
After those there are
Order and disorder (Arcane and chaos)
And after that we had
Life and Death (Nature and Decay)
And The "Teenest" are Elements
Still waiting on Dwarf Druids. Bears with Beards, Instantly more powerful.
what about pandarens druids in panda bear form? lol
*Sad Face* Didn't get Vulpera druids with cute Fox forms.
+Daniel Ortega Also the ellipsis give a dramatic effect...xD.
i love how this guy says "on eezeroth" :D
No it's more like azerot
Love his accent. Very pleasant.
Would love to see a "How powerful are warriors" video. Their power seems to very wildcard-esque in lore. You have the basic grunts and soldiers not sporting much to characters such as Garrosh, Varian, Brox, Trollbane, and even the warrior player character now who seem to boast crazy power.
druids, master class. thanks for this birthday treat! i am a druid in WoW and IRL. ^_~
Nice cat form
made my day
Pickle The Warcraft player indeed! rainswptflower is also my druid's name, haha
Rainswept Flower glad to see another Druid player. I rarely see them now of days
Pickle TWP same
Worgen are connected to druidism because the worgen curse that was inflicted on said originally cursed nighteveles originated from the emerald dream.
The OG night elves druids were trying to be boys with an ancient wolf god in the emerald dream so they could take its form. (just like we did with Koda and now can take bear form)
But the wolf god had orange gear or something so the night elves just got cursed instead. Including bunch of other details... look it up ... the more you know (insert rainbow)
hence worsen curse = connection to emerald dream / druidism
I love your videos and I was looking forward to a "How Powerful Are Druids" =)
I just wanted to clarify that we barely saw Druids other than Malfurion do something meaninful to the lore, therefore I know how hard it is to "pinpoint" the strength of the class.
Also, they can perform an allmighty Ritual called "Whatever-the-plot-needs Ritual" that is quite handy =)
Thanks for replying and I'm sorry if I sounded rude. As I said, I appreciate you videos and your effort. Calculating how powerful those classes are Is a really tough work !
there is one thing which i didn't see in the video, and that is the druids' Astral powers. I loved the video but i'm still wondering where that aspect of their class is, after all, it's a pretty big part of their role
priests next plz. I'm really interested in their void and old God madness stuff
php echo Void Priests will prob be top tier
Yeah mind control lorewise is very OP, and then ofcourse void magic.
Lore wise, shadow priests can be Godly, compared with the power of Warlocks as one of the top tier classes. Also their healing capabilities is almost unmatched as they are one of the few classes that can defeat Death Knights with their holy light and are stronger with the light than Paladins.
marcial hormiga
Well yes of course, Warlocks have always been the strongest Lorewise, I said that priests are up there but Warlocks of course outmatch them.
say the preists did most of the things of a warlock with the void i think the preist shadow atless would win agiast a warlock because their calling the void gods almost and their minons to do deadly damge warlocks might be able to win if the fight was quick but say it lasts for like 10 minuntes or 5 i think thats when the preist would start to win
Thanks for doing my favorite class!
I just main swapped back to my druid so I had to rewatch this vid, thanks for the hard work dude.
Once again, great job, nice video ^^
Thanks. :)
"Harvest-Bitches".
madcat789
Cuz their doggos 🤔
Hes videos are sometimes so accurate
LOVE these videos! Would love to see one about how powerful Monks are :)
Great to hear. Will cover them eventually.
Imho they are the weakest class lorewise.
Do a video on Shamans!
yes shamans!
Jack Angione Yemen
Hell if you want to be fancy you can end your videos with the list and put a hyperlink to your other class videos when they press the class button.
How powerful are the monks?
Touch of dead kind of powerful
Finally, the master class! Thanks Doron.
Warlocks just like druids have immense growth potential one example being Gul'dan V2 but it's mostly circumstantial...
Finally the video Im looking for
@DORONSMOVIES
You left out a LOT about druids powers. You focused only on the "trees" and "animals" part of being a druids powers
You realize that Nature encompases MUCH more than that.
Always enjoyed your lore videos
To be honest I'd say CC wise, they have it all choice to be every they want to be while being mobile at the same time because they can accept the whole downloaded MATRIX FOR WHAT IT IS.
IT REALLY BREAK MY HEART THAT THE GREATEST MMO GAME EVER HAS GRAPHIC THAT IS STILL 10 YEARS BEHIND THAT ANYTHING NEW OUT THERE
Which class is the most powerful in the lore?
Warlock,DK and DH are top tier
@@ogikay7056 Yet the most powerful mortal is Malfurion, and lets not mentioned the axe that broxigar used( crafted by a druid that was the only thing that was able to wound sargeras)
Crowwell Dodger I think currently its Night Warrior. But it doesnt matter, we shouldnt look at individuals or mortals but classes as a whole. Also axe was crafted by a demi god not a druid we have as a class. I would like to add that broxigar may hit Sargeras but wound him? i dont think so. Dude is bigger than the Azeroth
great video. Stil anticipating the mage one!
i hope they will add some horns or else for druids in next expac cause we are the leader/champion of druid class in legion....the high ranking druids have horns or wings
You obvioulsy haven’t casted thunderstorm in closed building of Horde auctionhouse.
I’d say in theory they’re actually one of the strongest classes. In no specific order, I’d say top 5 are: 1. Druids 2. Mage 3. Paladin 4. DK? 5. Warlock? Druids probably top 2 tbh
Hey Doron, I was wondering if there was a lore reason why a paladin would be a healer.
Finally druids! Great video!
Just a note...Shaman have the ability to cause an Earthquake, Druids use things like Typhoon.
Druids can use Earthquakes in the lore.
Gotcha...didn't realize that was the reference you were making. Tyvm
Well you forgot Fandrell doron :p He's a power full Druid that fighted in the dezord land.
Can we get more information on moonkin and balance magic
Awesome video!
Do monks next!
And what's the lore reason for BM monks having infinite barrels of beer?
Also, can you explain MW monks in a non vague way?
Their description isn't ever specific.
And Astral power?
Do Monks! I wanna how they use touch of death or how they use chi.
Could you do a video where you compare druid and shaman because to me they seem almost the same, so I'd like to know the difference. Thank you ;)
So from my understanding, these are the classes ranked from strongest to weakest
Demon hunter
Death knight
Warlock
Shadow priest
Mages
Druid
Shaman
Hunter
Warrior
Rogues
Monks
This is from my understanding
Points are kinda shallow and thus all episodes seems similar. I wish there was a more strict comparion. But again thanks alot I appreciate this series.
I hate the fact that druids have 4 specializations and actually enjoyed the fact when it only had 3. Since bear and cat form play different roles, I think they should at least be separated in the older talent tree.
Love these videos man
An interesting point about a druid shapeshifting.
Go fight a sentient tiger :D I'll wait
great video. i was just wondering. arent the form stronger then their animal like a bear form is much stronger then a regular bear and so forth. i also read somewhere that when in bear form their pelt/skin is as hard as steel. is that True?
Sorry, but I'd rather go for a power that doesn't:
- Cause me to rely on the whims of an external agent.
Super video.Samo tako nastavi
Hvala. :)
monks next please love your videos try to make more often :)
Wish you would make one of Shadow Priests.
Great job!
+RuneMovement Yeah, after Sargeras and N'zoth empowerment
+RuneMovement A shade who was powerfull enough to one shot Ysera, you do realize that he was overpowered by both Sargeras and the Old Gods right? Also lorewise the idea that we beat him inside the Nightmare without the help of Malfurion or the Demigods and the Green Dragons is stupid. There he is like Freddie Crueger he can do anything and we beat him without aid??? I'm ok with the druid players facing him but the rest????
Not to mention he used a tainted pillar of creation to corrupt the aspect..
This is awesome! Thank you :)
But they also have the potential to adapt like nature. in the case of fandral staghelm, or the satyrs and druids of the nightmare and flame; the druid class can adopt powers beyond regular druidism and gain so many more abilities and increase their power level tremendously. and again though this is not typical of a druid and most don't gain that much power, but the potential is there to surpass even some of the most power classes.
great job man...keep it up!!!
Thanks. :)
what i want to know is how powerful is the character we control
We are druids OMG! Nice video!
hey, how tough are monks? I feel monks would be a pretty tough class!
Are you going to do this about monks anytime soon as well?
How poweful are the monks?
How powerful was Cenarius, and can he ever come back?
Was going to mention balance druids too. They can channel arcane magic, yes?
Not really, their power originate from Elune
"Not really" is not really an answer ;). Specify, please.
Can you make a video on how powerful hunters are? :D
great job verry nice. i wait for priest
best class
Next: How Powerful Are Mages? - World of Warcraft Lore
Please? :(
Will do it, but i am saving them for a later time.
Well, that's fair enough. :D
Keep up the awesome Lore-Videos !
Cool video. But I was wandering if you can make an video of how to RP a High Elf even though they aren't a playable race. But somehow the players could RP like one of them.
Look up Inquisitor Aura. She does more advanced RP stuff (including all the normal races and classes), like dragons, half-elves, or High Elves.
Xilivian4560 I was saying a RP for the ALLIANCE!!
Shadow priest pls next
Make a vid about Hunters
Pls
How powerful are monks pls!
great man! :)
Thats nothing a little bit of overpower cant handle
Can we just call this the Warlock Apologist channel?
How powerful are warriors
oneshot by guldan in 6.1 trailer
hahah fuck guldan!
Max level Worgen Feral Druid here!
DORON!!!!!!!!!i have a question:do rogues use some kind of magic for their stealth and if they do what's its called and can you cover it in a vudeo?
Stealth that rogues use is really only an in game ability and not something they can do it in the lore. There are however ways to become invisible through magic, like Jaina did in Warcraft 3.
I would have to disagree slightly here. Subtly Rogues show an incredible use of shadows and Shadow Magic. Not sure how strong Shadow Magic might be in lore but Rogues quite often infect their enemies with damaging shadows or even heal themselves with the shadows. This isn't a martial skill like bandaging while stealthed the shadows around them actually heal physical injuries.
So it's suffice to say they may actually employ a form of magic to cloak themselves, since the entire subtly spec is based around these above mentioned shadows and stealth itself as a whole.
oke...also i played warcraft 3 but i dont remember any invisibility she had and i asked you this 3 times but you never replied
can u do mages next plz
If a druids outside of the forest wouldn't he still be really effective with all of his shapeshifts and balance spells ? :)
Oh and what about druids of the flame ?
Irrelevant Malfurion called lightning out of clear sky to kill Hakkar in WotA, he also had a pouch full of different seeds that he used for different occasions, he comanded the winds and could call upon the very rocks to shake the earth, a powerfull druid can be in total control werever he is...
Doron I love ur vids also what server u play on in wow?
Mainly on Argent Dawn EU at the moment.
ok :)
They can call upon Mama Nature as a whole, so a powerfull druid who actually uses his powers is a pretty dangerous individual....
They're more of generalists. They can't match anything a shaman, priest, mage, warlock can do in their field of expertise, but they dabble in a lot of different aspects that make up nature, so they have a fair amount of versatility.
