"I'm an organized mess" story of my life.
Dont worry about being late. It was your first time. Next time, plan ahead of time; such as pack your school supplies, textbooks, notebooks, and your mac pro laptop into your tote bag, *your lunch*, and plan your "law school" outfit the night before. wake up early in the morning to give yourself time leaving your apartment (after eating breakfast and checking to see if you have everything), make sure you give yourself enough/plenty of time to catch local transportation such as; catching the train (always plan 15 to 20mins ahead for train cancellations and delays) and the bus.
So proud of you getting to this point ! I can see it's taking a slight toll because of the adjustment phase but knowing you, you're going to champion this, like you do everything you set your mind to. Love you so much !! Great video !

Please take care of yourself. I was late for my first graduate school day because of the students crowds in front of the hall, and I have ever been sick because of the injection. The nurse was a trainee! I know how you feel and hope you get used to your new life soon!

I had a flight to Florida at 10:00pm but I got thought it was 10:00am so I was at the airport by 8:00am(since it takes a couple hours to get your bags checked and to go through tsa) just to find out I was WAY FUCKING EARLY

I have the same issue with fainting and having low blood pressure/sugar. It definitely is scary, I hope you're better now. don't forget to eat and drink lots of water!

I did an exchange to Finland last year, and I had some pretty difficult days there (1 involving almost losing my toes as it was -26 celsius, lol), and though I felt happy I also felt like a complete and utter mess. The latter will go away! Once you find a little bit of structure in your new life you'll forget a lot less and feel a lot more at ease. Enjoy your time!

I have a masters degree in ELectrical Engineering .. Now I am getting another masters in Data Science online.. It is really challenging getting a degree after 6 years.... I do not have company and online takes half the fun away... But, virtually I enjoy it, by looking at your videos... don't mind my sentence formation, it is 2:00am here...

I'm loving these vlogs - I've never had to move cities like this, and I think you are so brave for doing it, but I also appreciate how honest you are being about how you are feeling though it all. When you were shopping with your mom that was just a lot of rain. At least I think from what I saw in the video. A flash flood is where there is so much water that the streets may actually flood so there is standing water. Good to stay inside. :)

Glosssier is the best! I'm not super into makeup, but those products are a dream for me since I am really into the natural look:) Also I love the DC diaries. Please take care of yourself... I have found caring a water bottle and travel size snacks in my work/school bag have greatly helped when my anemia starts kicking my butt.

LL.M. students in the US are also older because there's no Bachelor of Law here, Law School is on the same level as graduate school. So we have to get a Bachelors in whatever we want(typically 4 years), then we can apply to law school (3 years), and only then some students(not all) choose to get an LL.M. Of course many students also take time off to work or do something else between undergrad and law school. :)

I had quite a few incidents where I black out/fainted when I didn't eat something for a long time, like if I was working on a big project or something :-/ so I feel like I know what you mean, lol but yeah my folks always gotta make sure if i've eaten and etc. especially if you live alone health physically and mentally come first

Hey Lily, Just wanted to comment on everything about the flash flood and you not feeling well after passing out... DC has *tons* of places that use UberEats and Postmates and deliver food to you... It's really great for students in the area who need to stay home and study but are hungry, and it's also great for days when the weather sucks.. Just wanted to let you know about it in case you haven't heard :)

We all feel uncomfortable at an introduction meeting, it's basically the final sales pitch, so you don't regret the cheque you just wrote them. It's not really a good impression of what North America is actually like, it probably has more to do with how we pay for education/the business of education here.

Oh! These notifications come when you have an American Phone SIM card! I travel back to the EU often and when I came back I forgot to change SIM cards and my family got flash flood advisory notifications and I didn't. I changed my SIM card and it all came at once! (Tips from your fellow European) :)

I didn't pay a penny for my law school, yays for free education. I'm paying horrifc amounts of money for my barrister training now though which is a nay ;) I like how enthusiasitc you are about the law, it passes so quickly once you get into real job. Then it's just annoying clients ;p

Michaela Marečková poland, University education is free here. However to become a barrister you have to take 5 years of law school and then 3 years of training with Bar Association(for which you pay yourself).

Trust me, I was born in America (my father is Russian and my mother is Central America) and I agree that people here tend to be over the top. It comes off as fake and insincere imo but I guess that's part of living in this country. I'm an accounting student btw. I considered law school but I said nope when I saw the tuition fees and the field is kind of oversaturated here. I love your videos, you inspire me to do better in school (I go back on the 25th)..You are doing awesome, good luck in D.C.!
