    Nice description of the red line SkyTrain. The last time I used this airport I was going to visit Angor Watt in Cambodia but the train line stopped at Mo Chit and then there was a shuttle bus to the airport below the train station. Being able to take the train all the way to the airport from central Bangkok is a lot more convenient and stress free.

    Thank you for a very informative video. Watching other videos i was wondering if you could buy the train ticket with an international bank card but luckily, you clearly explained at the beginning why doing so is not possible. So thank you and have a nice day!

      This may actually be possible on websites. I don't know. But most things in Thailand are cash or scan from a Thai bank via phone, not counting larger hotels, restaurants etc, which are happy to take cc.

    I tried Cabb once from MBK. for the experience

      Cab is really smart, expecially when more than one person in your group. Cab is my usual option. Did take the train once, which was fine but left finding transportation at the end.

      Very good video Randy and visiting Ban(g)kok with that name is bad for you!😜 Maybe that's why the guy renamed you Gary. But seriously, you're doing a great job for the TAT . From my perspective getting a regular taxi from DMK is the best option since they'll deliver you to your hotel directly. Your comedy sketch was brilliant except for Joy breaking out laughing , that's our job.
      How about a video of your hotel and (bed) room. I'm particularly interested in the bed linen.😉😂

    Hi there, do you know where is the Grabcar pick up point at DMK International arrival terminal and the exit gate number, thank you!

    • @RetiredGlobalLife
      @RetiredGlobalLife  7 месяцев назад

      The video tells you the floor, I don't remember, 3rd? And all you need to do is message the driver about the gate. I don't recall the specific ones.

    Thank you for this video. What would you recommend for big groups (Senior Citizens) ? Would the "mini bus" accommodate 12 plus luggage or is it a typical van?

    • @RetiredGlobalLife
      @RetiredGlobalLife  4 месяца назад +1

      I'd say no. I think it seats eight. But group transportation would be cheaper than individual. Depending on your luggage, sharing taxis or Grabs might be best.

    very helpful video, thankyou. Btw can we take ordinary/commuter train from DMK train station to Hua Lamphong or only allowed to take Red Line SRT (to bang Sue)?

    • @RetiredGlobalLife
      @RetiredGlobalLife  7 месяцев назад

      Sorry I don't remember all the Red Line stops. There are about 14 so is Hua Lamphong is one of them you are in luck, and if not, a transfer would be needed. Best wishes and safe travels.

    Anyone taken Grab from DMK and what was your experience? This is what I want to do but I read some stories from people saying it was hard to get a Grab from there - drivers kept canceling. Don't know if things have changed?

    • @RetiredGlobalLife
      @RetiredGlobalLife  2 месяца назад

      I don't know if the rules have changed. But last I knew Bolt, Grab etc could pick up at DMK (at a few others they can't). Why not just take a taxi. They are waiting the meter is on and the rate will be about the same from the airport into town.

    • @Chris-dw6cu
      @Chris-dw6cu 2 месяца назад

      @@RetiredGlobalLife I would normally do that but I've read so many stories any rigged meters or drivers refusing to use the meter once you get in. Grab seems safer since the fee is predetermined beforehand by the app

    Dose the 7Eleven at the airport sell Sim Cards?

    • @RetiredGlobalLife
      @RetiredGlobalLife  7 месяцев назад +1

      I did not check but if they do, I bet it will be at a higher price than the usual 7-11s, likely the same as the providers in the airport. Good thinking by you though!
