Can you maybe do a video about your ceramics? Like when did you decide that you will buy a kiln, how you bought it, and how you take care of all sides of ceramic process (firing and glazing and taking care of the kiln)? It's really hard to find videos with people who have a kiln and a small ceramic practise, like regular people who just want to do ceramics 🥺
Oh Sophie...do you see how your art is just as great as what you saw in the museums?? I can't wait until I can really truly reflect what I see with my eyes on paper. I really struggle there. Thank you for sharing your amazing trip and beautiful travel journal.
Sophie, I LOVED this! On site sketches are so magical, they hold so many memories of that moment and all of the feelings. I find that my memories tied to sketches are so much more visceral than photos. If you ever find yourself in Adelaide (or I in Melbourne) we should totally meet up for a sketchbook date and just draw whatever the day throws at us

OOH I've been waiting excitedly for this video! What an absolutely incredible time you seem to have had! I'd say for many, it'd be a once in a lifetime trip, but you have a very good excuse to keep going back! XD It was such a joy to see how happy you and your partner looked, and he seemed so at ease and delighted to have you with him. I loved all your little glimpses into the sceneries and then the jumps in and out of your travel journal. It was really like watching a snippety montage of how the memories might have even been recorded in your brain! Those paintings you showed were really breathtaking too; that one of Valparaiso made me inhale in a way that I realised is exactly how my dad does when he's very impressed with something.
