Fishing season opener | 2 fish, 2 species, 1 day

On my first open water trip I was just heading into central Alberta to check for ice free lakes and we found some, all the creeks and streams were high and dirty so lake fishing was my only option and with my little 12’ aluminum in need of a new trolling motor we were on foot today. But we struck success with a nice 20”ish tiger trout but being on foot it was a tough go and basically i reached my limit on foot at at that lake, with the itch to catch more than 1 fish for the sake of filming I stopped at a small creek that clears quickly after weather and it wasn’t too bad. So after trying for awhile and a few lure changes we were able to at least catch a slimy snot rocket (northern pike)🤣. All in all it wasn’t a terrible trip for my first, that tiger was a nice fish for my first of the season too so I’m not complaining. Hope you enjoy and tight lines to you all.
