Probably controversial but I'm going the old reference Daytona! I think it looks more modern with the thicker sub dials and thicker bezel. I feel like the new one looks more like the old Zenith style Daytona with the steel around the bezel. That said Rolex know what they're doing 💯
New all day long. Had the 116 and upgraded to the 126 (black dial) and I’m super happy about it. All the small changes make a huge difference in the end. Brings us back to the vintage Daytonas.
I completely disagree. The 116 with thicker ceramic in white dial looks much better larger sub-dials. However, the new 126 in black looks much sleeker this time around. I suspect going forward Daytonas will always have the outer steel ring which will make the previous 116 models very collectable with the larger ceramic bezel. I predict the new 126 black will be the one to get this time and the previous 116 will be the desired pieces.
116500LN had the shortest production time in the history of Daytonas. Surely this model will see a premium in a few decades… Also I prefer this as the OG modern panda.
The new reference wears larger and is slightly larger. Will be better for guys with larger wrists. Measure the old reference and you'll see its 38.7 mm (not 40mm). Nobody ever talks about that. The new reference is actually closer to the stated 40mm. The redesign of the new one appears beefier even though its thinner than the old reference. Either way, great watches. Love your content boys!
116500ln for sporty reference or 116520 for more dressy option. 126 is an odd mix and I think 116500 does better job at contrasting, looks sportier, and is now less expensive in the secondary market.
I’m curious about trading my 116 for a 126 but don’t want to give up the smaller case. New one is sleeker and classier. Old one is bolder and more circus. Basically pops more. My grey is awaiting my decision. I’ll have to wait to have both
New one is so much better - I own both and really have no need for my 11 ref anymore Main thing is it’s bigger and a proper sized 40mm now which is necessary for my large 7.5 inch wrist size

Can’t go wrong with the classic 💪🏻

Sorry but bring us next to the Tudor black bay imo.
@@dinamiena6186The black bay is HUGE compared to a Daytona

Thank you! 🙌🏻
For me 126500 black, and 116500 white
Agree
🙌🏻
Also the lugs on the new reference are symmetrical. And my AD has one coming my way soon apparently 🤞🏻
Older version all day. I like the thicker sub dials and the asymmetrical case which gives it more character.
The new one👀👍
I really like the food in the restaurant outside
Great food options all around!
old much cooler
Super classic Rolex 🤝

Traded my 116 for the 126 white. So much nicer
Definitely a hard choice!

Both are great watches 🤝 Can’t go wrong with either
The new reference is so much nicer in-person imo - everything about it looks more lean and refined.
The steel around the bezel definitely gives it a more refined look 👍🏻
New reference
