Hi 7:00 so the spring side of the seal should face inside the crank housing not towards the drive side? You did that bit a be quick😂 great useful videos🙂👍
Replied a bit quick, yes. A smear of grease, same as on sidecase gasket. I edited that out because I started waffling too much. I'm hoping those who follow my stuff are reading stickies too. 😀
Thanks for the great vids. Bearing in freezer and just rewatched before I start. Keep the vids coming really helpful and informative
Remember to greese the halite washer, I forgot to show it.
Cheers these vids are really really useful
Glad to hear!
Hi Rob Do you recommended placing the Drive Side Bearing in the freezer before fitting?
Yes, always
Hi, really helpful. But how do you know how far the main bearing needs to go in. Do you screw in until flush with the casing ? Thansk
You can see if the bearing is fully home by simply flipping the engine over and see if it is flush against the case.
@@kickbackgarage Thanks

Spring towards pressure. So lip towards crankshaft. 😎
Do i need to pack the main bearing with high melting point grease? Thanks
No. Only flywheel bearing. Main bearing is lubricated from gearbox oil.
@@kickbackgarage Thanks
keep em coming atb pete
Cheers mate.
Or maybe I'm just half blind or daft.
Sorry.
Yes it did have early type engine mounts, now fitted BGM long mounts.
Kool, sounds sensible.
Thanx for your great vids, keep up the good work!
Thanks.
Rob, do you not smear grease/ silicone on the halite seal in place ?
I've always just used grease.

@@exsoulagent I`m trying my hardest to keep the vids around 15 minutes, so I normally have to edit away about 45 minutes.... hahaha I`m not kidding!
