One must understand the depth and complexity of faith and where it will take you, in one’s ability to conceptualise and render a devotional temple like this. I guarantee you that the planners, architects and stone masons responsible for this masterpiece, were in deep meditation before, during and after its completion. I guarantee that through the meditative state, each of the stonemasons were intimately connected to each other and therefore were totally aware of what to do and how to work with each other, in doing it. In completing this stunning statement of faith and practise (Kailash Temple) most of the data necessary in executing the works, were produced without plans or meetings or co-ordinators. There were many labourers removing baskets of stone and supporting devotional communities bringing requisites and supplies, but the entire work is and was; a collective demonstration of practise. Synergistic in totality. Both in faith and doctrine. This is human activity at its highest level. It peaked back then. We have totally lost it now.

This should be made one wonders of the world.
Probably you can rebuild many of the wonders of the world with today's money and technology but this one I feel may not be possible even today in all its grandeur and complexity, carving from top out of single rock formations without room for much errors with so much planning and executions in an unconventional way of chiselling out the waste rocks to reveal a beautiful idol formations out of single rock formations like scooping from inside... Guys it's definitely a Wonder of the world.

When Taj can be there then Kailasa Temple can surely find place in the wonders of the world.
The list needs to incorporate more wonders.

It's just like how the Egyptians quarried out a million tonnes of rock to build the Pyramid, only here with the added twist of doing artwork inside the quarry as rock was removed instead of just leaving a rude pit.

Very few are able to distinguish the complexity between building a temple and making idol statues versus “ removal” of stone to leave behind a perfectly aligned & amazingly proportionate idol which has taken into account the need to “remove” a whole layer of stone only to leave behind neck ornaments. Even the feet veins are visible. The real challenge is to identify what was their source of light for decades of work deep inside the excavated cave & what was their source of oxygen & ventilation. Fire could not be used for either light or ventilation.
