Regarding Alexander's lineage, I want to add that his mother Olympias came from the a family with a stated descent from Achilles. I don't know if that influenced Alexander's love for Iliad in any way. 1:21:25 I think one solution would be to click on another picture on the page (if there is at least one) and from there click over to those "bundled" pictures. EDIT: clicking these "bundled" pictures suddenly works for me. 1:24:40 In "Fate/Zero" novel, Waver actually asks Iskandar about this particular story, and Iskandar's didn't deny it happening. He replied that Darius was simply even taller. So, assuming Iskandar was honest and wasn't intentionally hiding Faker's role, canonically this particular incident did happen to Iskandar himself in Fate. Side-note: Servants don't always look like they did in life (in-universe), so we can't be sure how tall Fate Darius was in life, but Servant Darius that we do have in FGO is more than a meter taller than Iskandar. I want to expand on Faker a bit. In "Case Files" she mentions Dionysus as the god she worships. Her second ascension design reflects that aspect, with her staff having a grapevine decoration, and grapevine is one of symbols of Dionysus. I don't know if this is spelled out anywhere, but I assume that the reason is Olympias, Alexander's mother. Her decisions shaped Faker's life in a lot of ways and Olympias (to quote Wikipedia) "According to [...] Plutarch, she was a devout member of the orgiastic snake-worshiping cult of Dionysus", so I assume in Fate lore Olympias was very hands on with Faker's upbringing, including the religious part. 1:50:00 Not really. As shown with King Arthur and Nobunaga, alternate universe counterparts of different gender exist. There is also one Servant who has a male and a female form, and it's their Innocent Monster skill that does the gender-bending... though I doubt the reasoning for this particular case would work for Iskandar.
One of the reasons I love Iskandar beyond the obvious parts to love is that he’s the presents the first turning point in Astoria’s character development in Zero into Stay/Night. Both Iskandar and Gil belittle her about her regret of her rule, but Iskandar actually offers up a different point of view. He might think that Artoria basically taking the path of a Martyr is stupid, but he’s more upset by the regret because he sees it as disrespectful toward herself and those that served her. And then throughout Artoria’s journey you can see that while she never fully adopts this view, it is something that was learned from. Basically, Iskandar’s philosophy on Kingship in Fate is the song My Way.
An interesting thing about Iskander's Shadow/"Hephaestion" is that in her capacity as mage in the Age of Gods she was a Dionysos priestess. So her getting interested in modern cuisine (bullet points: indulgence, chocolate) is only natural.
So part of the Rayshifting process requires Chaldea to constantly monitor the Master's sent through time in order to keep them stabilized in that time. The Mnemosyne computer system was supposed to automate that for Chaldea but they could never get it to work right
Not much to add here aside from what another commenter has already covered. Urobuchi (the authour of Fate/Zero) has mentioned that if Iskandar had been summoned by Kayneth and Sola-Ui, that he would totally try to angle for a threesome with them. It wasn't entirely clear if you caught it, but "Hephaestion"'s comment about young Alexander getting enough of Zeus' blessings is because she's trying to discourage him from overusing Zeus Funder to the point of reaching his adult form again. While Iskandar and Alexander have Macedonia team uniforms for the baseball game, note that Hephaestion's shirt instead has the crest of Chaldea on it. As an aside, Alexander IV is relevant to the plot of the Case Files sequel series, "The Adventures of Lord El-Melloi II".
Oh good lord, if she loved Papa Iskandar, Sekhie is gonna love the French Himbo that is Napoleon 😉 Also, that music is Dragon Roost Island's theme. It's good civilization
You know ctrl w and ctrl shift t are great friends for this sort of thing they delete the current tab and restore the previous closed tab, it's a nice way to navigate through many open tabs.
@@t.h.e.animeclub Don't even need to look at the fanfiction honestly, there's a whole heap suggesting...more...officially. Pretty much done everything beyond outright saying it at this point. Oh and a slight correction for Niknak, Fate heavily leans towards Iskandar actually being related to Zeus via mythical Jesus birth rules. Iskandar is officially listed as a Divine Spirit, which regardless of his divinity rating, which is more influenced by public perception, denotes he is more than mortal on some level. This can also be corroborated by Iskandar just sharing the same physical features as Heracles and a certain you know who, I dunno if Sehkie knows what this you know who, is but yeah
So ya.. next few Servants are going to be Gray, Sima Yi.. and our Boy Kongming Aka Zhuge Liang.. Or just Waver And ya.. what more to say.... Iskander is Best Bro... and Faker is probably his most loyal servant(to the point her outfit is based of his young self.. Which does make sense), I honestly hope she shows up more in F/GO.. or gets a summer form(or more amusingly a Santa Version.. Rider Hephastion with her Skeleton sleigh just seems funny to me)

I am a little sad that you skipped over the part that almost as soon he entered Asia Alexander and friends toured to Troy where he and Hephaestion paid homage to Achilles and Patroclos (and depending on the version scarified on some other altars) in the history portion.

based off lore switching Gilgamesh and iskandar design would be significantly more accurate
