Any video of this blind in action? What about when temps are below freezing and doors get wet?

What makes it better than the Cabelas Northern Flight Kayak blind?

I believe the Northern Flight blind is made mostly to fit the Ascend 12' kayaks and maybe you can get it to fit over other 12' yaks. This blind is kind of a fits all for kayaks and canoes from 12-14'

High Plains Outdoorsman Thanks for the reply! Do you think the YakGear would fit on 10ft kayaks or would it be too big?

@@xxBowman1 I would guess that it's too long. You always try some sew work or something with it. IMO I would either use an old layout blind or a concealment blanket, or netting to cover a 10'

It looks like the doors would flop down into the water when you swing them open to shoot. Then you would have wet fabric laying on top of you.
    Does this happen?

It would if you are hunting open water. If you're tucked up against a shoreline, more than likely you are dealing with far less water depth and should not have that big of an issue. Not to mention if you are tight to cover, the surrounding vegetation or brush would keep the doors from flopping all the way down. Not saying it wouldn't happen still, but it would reduce the amount of water brought up onto you. Plus, you could always hold the doors at an angle and let all excess water run off of them before closing again.

Why are the doors so huge and floppy.. Need a redesign. Once they get wet your screwed.
