    Why is Hellshire not being maintained by the government? Jamaica has to be extra careful with global warning. Where is the part of tourism money for poor people??? By the way Ed Bartlette, some tourist still like the REAL EXPERIENCE OF JAMAICA🇯🇲 NOT JUST THE ALL INCLUSIVE!!! Hellshire is a HISTORICAL place!!

      I bet u if they sell it to a developer tomorrow for a all inclusive it will be fixed.

      @@RR-sp2op It cannot be fixed ...can truck in sand and pretend like the beach is still there, that still will not fix it. The sea level is rising and eventually the water will cover a the sand.

      And how do we act to mitigate the issue?

    • @rantsinpatwa
      @rantsinpatwa 3 года назад +1

      @@prestonmatthews725 We have little to do with the issue. US, European, Canada, China, India, Japan they are the root of this issue it can be slowed only when they get serious about it

    I am not hearing anybody commenting on how the residential building in Hellshire has, or has not impacted the destruction of beach and the businesses which it had been sustaining/ I can appreciate the persistent encroachment of the ocean on the land, but some of the destructive and short-sighted, money obsessed activities of people are either making the problem worse or increasing the pace of it.

    Bad investigating report as a journalist, do your homework
    Check with the Hellshire police department and environmental protection agency for complaints. Reports of water testing and pictures of erosion, built out of the beachfront with rocks that are hindrances
    The people, moreso vendors and those who conduct and live on the beach....even the public bathroom stinks run down, people will caught some incurable diseases if enter, enter at own risks or used vendors porter potty that is contaminating the environment too.....

    Used to go every trip to jamaica......The last time I went to hellshire was 2018....I knew that would be the last time because the water was up to the steps that exited to the beach and now that vendor shop is basically in the sea soon. Not going back next time down...unfortunately this effort is about 15 years too late

    Jamaicans need to take action instead of just complaining.
    The lack of human capital means there is no qualified marine environment experts, soil exports and so on.
