While we're used to seeing storms in SE Texas, this geomagnetic storm known as the Aurora Borealis or Northern Lights is more common in the arctic regions.

If I could catch a break from the clouds, I MIGHT catch a glimpse. Stupid clouds also blocked solar eclipse, too. Every time something special happening in the sky, clouds always crash the party. 😣
Things were too cloudy for me to see the eclipse, but now I have pictures of the Aurora Borealis! It's super overcast, so all I can get is hazy lights, but I'm super happy!
