Eric- Thanks for sharing the videos. I am currently taking an Archicad class and the teacher jumps around too much and goes in and out of the more powerful areas of the software without going into details of how the basic tools work. I appreciate how you start simple from scratch using basic geometry structures to teach the program. You've helped me immensely.

Dear mr. Eric when i place a window in a composite wall (plan view), the plaster / finish layer stops on the window frame i.e. window frame cuts the plaster layer while it should be placed on the plaster. instead i would like that layer to wrap and not to be interrupted by the window frame. any idea how it can be done. The same problem when i cut a section in the window the frame is placed on core and not on the finish / plaster.
Hello sir, thanx for the tutorial, but there is something I want to ask. I have been using AutoCAD for a long time, and there is this "@value" input command to determine add how much more length. Is there any command like this in archicad?
Maybe this is shown on another video, but I like to input some walls using the mouse only. For instance masonry walls on a 4" or 8" module or grid. Am I correct to infer that not only do I need to set my snap grid to the desired spacing, I also need to set accuracy to zero?
Hi Eric, Thanks for the tutorials, really helpful! Just needed a quick help... I used to use Archicad 11 a long time ago, stopped for a few years and getting back with it now on archicad 17. I remember with the tracker there was a way to type in a minus distance form a point. So, for example, if I was drawing a line, and the second point needs to be 2.62m from a parallel line, I could hit the tab and add a minus from existing distance... is there anything like that on the current archicad?
